He is addressing the set piece issues but it’s part of the larger system. Given time and more players that fit his system we won’t be having this issue.

My 2 cents on Spurs and Ange - This is the first season of Ange and the first season is about stamping a playing style and make sure the club follows the style. It's not the season to do minor changes during games because it causes confusion within the club and within the players ( keep in mind that this is a squad that played in a defensive style for 3-4 years) . I see Ange doing tactical tweaks in his second season when he has a more complete squad with players that he wants. Everyone needed a project with Ange but no one has the patience to go through the project. I have watched enough football to understand that the media and the fans are reactionary. We will see in a years time.
Absolutely spot on This season isn't about having a 'plan B', it's about building the foundation and refining 'plan A'. Like you said, you need to cement that in the minds of the players first. I hate to admit it but looks at the teething problems arteta went through before building that Arsenal squad to be title contenders... This ain't an easy process, it WILL take time
I couldn’t of agreed more. The amount of people who reacted based on a few bad results are the same ones cheering and saying that we were going to win the league the first 10 games. It’s about a process and too many fans forget how bad it was under conte and Jose. Ange is building a system and culture that will win games, not rely on individual players like Kane to find a win.

We are in year 1 of a 5 year rebuild if we are patient and supportive Ange will turn us into the most dangerous and successful club in world football. If we are petulant, spoiled and impatient we will squander our chance with one of the most highly respected and regarded coaches in world football. Fellow Lilywhites give…..it…..time. The only people really pushing for us to sack him are rival fans because they see the potential and are petrified. We were robbed by ArseVAR FA and GoonOliver in the derby. Have Spurs forgotten the timing of Mourinho and Conte? Ange revived Spurs' aggression and showed them a challenging football. Some Spurs have lost patience again and are trying to keep up with the failure by kicking out their manager who show attacking football directions. I don't want to kick him out. I just want him to complement his tactics depending on the situations and different opponents. Not always the same repeated tactics that all epl teams have finished to analyze. They all know how to treat us now, but Ange has no flexibility at all. He has to fix the repeated problems, which are our wide open back area and set piece defensive tactics. And also his attacking patterns are too predictable now. Our players are not like Man city level now. No matter how much they practice the same thing everyday, sadly they can not be at the level of Manchester City soon.... so shouldn't we solve the simple set piece problems that can be fixed quickly?
@@JeffLee-og1ok right now it feels just the same but we have more possession. It’s lots of sideways passes and bad crosses. Undone by a single counter and two set pieces. Our points average for the second half of the season is shocking. The scum were there for the taking and we flopped massively. We are predictable and despite not having burned energy playing a high volume of games we have been picked apart with relative ease. More hamstring and calf injuries thanks to Ange ball. I’m finding Ange ball as exciting as conte ball of late. Blaming play on injuries instead of owning his mistakes is getting old. I feel like Ange is hiding behind any excuse now he knows we can’t make top 4. It wasn’t all that long ago he was talking about a title challenge. New manager come Xmas is definitely on the cards.

Ange can just tell them to mark the opponents (1 to 1) and jump together to block them, and when you attack in set piece situations, cross the ball to the point man who will make header. Protect Vicario so that he can do his job. Ange should have fixed the set piece problems one by one whenever there was a problem.
Now all our opponent teams are starting to focus on attacking our weaknesses: wide open back area and set piece.
They have to, because they accept they won't have the lions share of the ball, arsenal/arteta included.. we're in a transitional improvement phase, and the most consistent defence and highest scoring team of the season couldn't score in open play... And we're improving... Let that sink in. Ange is doing a fantastic job

If we are "clearly" improving why are our results getting worse? So we can also expect to concede again tomorrow if we give away corners-you just know that the teams we face will have watched the Sunday game and will be practising the same moves, if Vicario doesn't get a "minder" it will be criminal managerial negligence, I don't care what he says about the team having to learn his way of doing things, this is a major point-losing issue which he should-given his identical experience at Celtic-have known how to sort out before it got to the stage where top 4 is now very unlikely.

Some of our fans are a disgrace. Stop wsnking on about plan B…just nail plan A like Man City and Liverpool 3-4 years ago. Of course Ange hasn’t fully implemented it yet. He’s only had 2 transfer windows, 8 months or so working with a brand new team, the players we are buying are young…just look at Klopp, Arteta, even Pep wasn’t winning titles immediately. Just please stop throwing your toys out the pram every time we don’t win…it won’t do us any good!! In fact it harms the harmony in the club and in the squad. Look at the mood in Liverpool when Klopp joined and during his years there…their fans have backed him to the hilt no matter what. THAT spirit in a club allows long term progress and will bring trophies.

Some of our fans are either gooners in disguise or started supporting us during peak pochettino and don’t know what it is to support THFC. I started with the 1992 season. My first real football memory was Gazzas free kick against the gooners in 1991. I went through the steaming pile of Tottenham years and I still watched it all on replay 🤣. We have to understand that the press hate us, the FA hate us, the Refs hate us, nearly every other club hates us. No one is going to tell us when we are doing it right.

I think that's bcz they don't analyze their opponent teams before the match. I think the coaches have to give information to their players about their opponent's weaknesses and strengths before every match. If they don't do it, players have no idea about their opponents, so they can't do anything aggressively in the first half bcz they need time to figure them out. I think that's the reason maybe. We all know Saka uses his left foot, but if the coaches didn't mention about it to Ben Davis before the match, he could have completely forgotten about this.

Romero is a cb, not a striker🔥 But he didn't follow your tactics and was out of his position and scored a goal like a striker. If you keep playing always the same tactics everyday, there will be no winning at all. Because your tactics are all analyzed by other teams now.
He shouldn't just ignore defensive tactics. Scoring is important, but not conceding is important as well 🔥 DETAILS MAKE THE DIFFERENCE !! Flexibility is necessary !!
I think he definitely has defensive tactics. But we are still building at this time. Our defenders are learning how to play in this system. We will never be a defensive team, but our defence will only get better over time.

We have problems in midfield and defence and they are talking about us spending up to £200 M in the summer . It will most probably be £100-150M at the most which is nowhere near enough. Untill Enic/Levy and Ange the yes man sods off, we are stuffed.
Transfer window is another issue but AP has got to push the existing players to improve.... and better team strategy... techtical issues need to be solved

With Chelsea Angeva used in the left lane, on Emerson Royal who is right stopper right? If Drăgușin played in the middle of the defense TOTENHHAM would make 2-2. Or maybe beat with 3-2. If we ignore and tegiverse to use a player it is clearly not ok as a build. I would use COMBINED, that is, I would put different players who are reserves in the same positions. But Ange decides what he wants anyway.

Newcastle and Arsenal coaches won the game against us by changing their tactics to 5 back defense and counterattack instead of using their original tactics. And they won. That's called flexibility ! They analyzed their opponents, attacking their weaknesses and stopping their advantages. We cannot win in epl with just 1 tactic. Your attackers are not scoring enough and your defenders are conceding too many goals in high line tactics... After Chelsea match, it seems that many epl coaches have found out the solutions to win against us.

This Chelsea game i have no hopes not that am scared of chelsea because they don't have the tools to give us many problems but it is our inconsistency most of our players are very poor they are under performing and i would not be surprise if we go down 3 nil down then try to fight our way up win, it draw it or even lose it that is classic Tottenham, Ange himself is not twigging his tactics like sending Ben to fight against Saka there are many ways that arsenal game could have gone but due to Ange poor selection he handed to Arteta on a plate, i believe if Emerson played LB or radu we might have had a chance especially that Saka goal
I know that Saka goal was a killer because we could've had a penalty instead we conceded a goal! Davies foolishly just allowed him to easily cut inside and score with ease then Saka laughed at our fans. It was a painful day.🤬

Honestly, I'm worried. Although Ange is clearly aware of our problems, he doesn't try to fix them. He just keeps saying that we are getting better. The upcoming matches are very important and we have to win them. I really hope our players will be rewarded for their efforts. For that, I think Ange needs to be flexible on set piece.
The upcoming matches are not very important, I mean I get what you're saying but the important part is the performance. We will probably finish 5, that's really good considering our team and the team having played defensivly for so long. Ange want's the players to play his game, minor tweaks he can do in season 2 or 3 when everyone has fullu bought into his style of play
