Dr. Edwin Barnhart, director of the Maya Exploration Center, has over twenty years of experience in Central and South America as an archaeologist, explorer, and instructor. He has appeared in over a dozen documentaries and given presentations worldwide.
His involvement in Maya studies began in 1990 as an archaeological intern in the ruins of Copan, Honduras. In January 1996, he was invited to return to Copan and help the University of Pennsylvania excavate the early acropolis and the tomb of the city's lineage founder. From 1992-1995, he studied art, iconography, and epigraphy (hieroglyphic translation) under the late Dr. Linda Schele at the University of Texas at Austin. During that same time, he worked across the state of Texas as a contract archaeologist.
In 1994 he began working as a surveyor and a UT field school instructor in the jungles of Northwestern Belize. After finding numerous small villages, Dr. Barnhart discovered the ancient city of Ma'ax Na (Monkey House), a major center of the Classic Maya Period. He mapped over 600 structures at Ma'ax Na between 1995 and 1997 before moving his research focus to Chiapas, Mexico. Also while in Belize, Dr. Barnhart worked with the Belize Post Classic Project mapping the island of Caye Coco and excavating a series of burials on an island in Laguna de On. Dr. Barnhart received his Masters degree in May of 1996 and began teaching Anthropology classes at Southwest Texas State University the following September. He taught Archaeology and Anthropology classes at SWTS until 1998, when he was invited by the Mexican government to direct the Palenque Mapping Project.
The Palenque Mapping Project was a three-year effort to survey and map the unknown sections of Palenque's ruins. Over 1100 new structures were documented, bringing the site to almost 1500. The resultant map has been celebrated as one of the most detailed and accurate ever of a Maya ruin. He received a Ph.D. from the University of Texas at Austin in 2001 with his dissertation entitled The Palenque Mapping Project: Settlement Patterns and Urbanism in An Ancient Maya City.
Please enjoy my conversation with Dr. Edwin Barnhart.

    • Hola... Thanks for having Ed Barnhart on your podcast.. I love listening to facts (and theories) about ancient civilizations ever since I was a young teen.. all pyramids fascinate me. Also, please ask Linda Grindel (aka Linda G. Comanche Psychic-Medium (and author) to be a guest on your show.. she's really great, not just as a psychic-medium but she's also a really down-to-earth kind of person with a dry since of humor... Linda has her own KZhead channel, so she will be easy to find... gracias.

    • ☀️ Humanity, Don't ya think: "I's Time to move from the Fat Pencil to the Skinny Pencil" For us Humans to be such advanced physical specimens, (says a lot about our Physical Source Creator), to be so obvious in our potentials, (Art, Music, Architecture, Tech, Mechanics, ... our Physical Creative Talents), to display such amazing Critical Thinking (Match, Science, Quantum Physics), we Humans are so (obvious in our ... "Opportunities for Improvements", ("Talks to Much" and "Not playing well with others") ... clearly the traits associated with "Human Emotional Development" aka "Our Thoughts + Beliefs" are obvious in their being "Not in the same spectrum of Advanced, Mature, Higher Mind", and Our Human Social Skills, Cooperation, and Conscious desire for Harmony, and the Values associated with these levels of Experiences. There's a noticeable comparative Gap in our "Social and Social-Political Skills", relative to all other skill subjects. This reflects our lack of familiarity and practice associated with our Thoughts, (How we think and What we think of) + (How we organize our Societies and What are Social, Political, Religious and Spiritual, Goals and Behaviors SHOULD be".) The variance is an awkward margin. It may be that my individual focus is enhanced by my "Sociology and Social Behavior + History education", but * just don't feel it requires a PhD to recognize "Mature, Higher Minded Behavior", nor that it requires a PhD to point it out, particularly to the PhD's of the World. This subject speaks to the "Common Reality Paradigm" and it's obvious evidence in Attention Required on the Subjects of: "Human Emotion and Social Behavior Development" I wonder, could Genetics reveal a DNA factor related to this subject, and of course Psychologist's also define our "Abilities", and possibly Quantum Physics related Minds define the "Consciousness" factor. After all, ... it's really time for us to begin using "the Skinny Pencil". ... and it appears it's the Western World that's been "Taking the Little Bus to School" ... • I am a Guatemalan initiated Day Keeper. I work with the spiritual side of Mayan Cosmovision, which is about remembering our essence. I just wanted to say that here is a difference between having different gods and having representations of energy. The Maya acknowledged that everything has a consciousness and represented that energy in their way, which was misinterpreted as gods. With all due respect, this man says the Maya didn’t look within. Mayan Wisdom guided me to look within, as everything in creation helps us with that if we learn to connect with the essence of everything. We need to go beyond the mental realm to really experience the Mayan Wisdom. There are a lot of misconceptions about not only The Maya but other Ancient Cultures. That is why we need to go within, to remember from within. BTW, I do enjoy your channel, Alex, and the different views you bring with your guests. Blessings.

  • There is an open-air labyrinth in the Clear Lake area of the Houston Metropolis that does the same thing Alex spoke of in a pyramid. When you reach the center of the labyrinth, you can clap your hands and it makes a mysterious sound that is probably similar to the bird chirping noise Alex mentioned. If anyone is interested, the labyrinth is in Sylvan Rodriguez Memorial Park at 1201 Clear Lake City Blvd, Houston, TX 77062.

  • This guy thinks they were dragging stones 5000 years ago. All major pyramids and monuments like stone henge were built using levitation around 10,500 BC. They all correspond to celestial events that can be traced to that time frame.

    • He is an archaeologist. Most of them are stuck on everything starting 6000 or so years ago despite all of the evidence that proves otherwise.

      @billbarnes9718@billbarnes971823 күн бұрын
    • You do know for example that stone henge was actually put back together as we modern humans thought it should be back in the 50s right. Many of the monolithic things like that were redone by modern humans. So even those many things were built long before many scientists say they were. Modern archeology wasn't really becoming a true science with true ways to rules on how to do digs and other sciences built off of that. While I do not agree with what many of the modern scientists want to say about things and younger people even if they don't agree have to keep that to themselves if in the future they want to get funding and grants. As for the whole levitation thing, until there is proof, it's only theories. There are more theories than grains of sand. Learn, study, study everything. Just remember any rabbit hole you go down you can find a theory to fit what you already think and believe, and that is something you have to watch out for. All science must have a open mind. I do believe humanity goes back much further than scientists say, I do think there are ways that are more technical but also more knowledgeable then we western people. Just look at the old papers and letters of the first white people that pushed west. They talk first about the great forest, grass lands, animals, but they also talk about seeing the indenganess peoples using controlled fire, without killing the trees, there is a reason those forest where so grand. They were much closer to the earth than we were or have been for to many generations to count. All these great fires over the last decades have been helped by climate change, but perhaps the biggest problem is the fact that we stopped caring for the land as it had been cared for, for as far back as the indenganess peoples go back. So much so that people are finally, and I'm talking about people in higher places are finally starting to listen to those that still have the knowledge to learn how to heal and help the land, problem is this can change from election to election. If we let the people that stay in place like those that run fire departments, the forest service etc. Here where I live there are sections in the city where they still have the natural grasses and wild flowers grow, it needs to be burned very early every spring and so we have these wonderful places from very small to larger places all around our small town that show the true beauty of what the natural wild ways of our land should be. There are places in our city that are becoming dangerous because people let plants and trees grow in the wrong places along with invasive plants come in especially along the small creeks, one of those is behind where I live, I have watched nature destroy this creek, one tree has already come down others are on the verge of coming down, but it's private land and the landlord doesn't want to do anything, but I have already had the city engineer out here, it's our own stupidity because we white people think we are smarter than all indenganess peoples. So indenganess peoples do have more knowledge than us and are more advanced than us in ways different then we think of advancement. The Egyptians from the oldest text speak of the time before, the golden time, but no explanation beyond that. There are channels I believe more than others, but I study what they say, but even they say have a open mind. Your statement shows a closed mind. So now off the mundane and more into the spiritual side of things, my um guides say look in a different direction and keep a open mind, before you close your mind maybe it's time to find what's inside you first and release what no longer serves your soul. Sorry why they say this I don't know, from the pressure in my head they want to say more but at the same time it's not really coming through, other than it's time for you to connect to yours. Sorry don't feel like having a headache today for not saying anything. Blessings be.

  • Love this guy, he is willing to state he is wrong if evidence proves otherwise. But he’s not going to lie about the facts either. Just because a regular person sees something different they decide the archeologists are wrong. We are the ones who are supposed to be open, yet if an archeologist says something we jump all over them? I believe a lot of the mystical, but I am not going to cut down anyone who is working in the middle of these wonderous places getting dirty to learn something. I find people living in their ego when they say well, of course he believes that, he’s an archeologist just like the rest. Do the research, and not just from people who just look at something and form an opinion based on what they think

He found pottery, writings, ruins and the locals had names for all of these, but did not use anything of them. Mazière noticed that the social order of a 30 persons tribe was as complicated as the French State. His conclusion was that they have been a civilisation but they collapsed somehow.

Then a native invites them to a meal where the wife pulls a knife out of the palm fronds (or whatever) a knife and starts dinner.wnen asked about it the native said that they were keeping the knife out of the children's reach.😸

  • What I find interesting is while yes our solar system is constantly moving through our galaxy at a speed we really can't truly fathom. But if you break the galaxy down into sections it takes x amount of time to go through that section. I'm not talking about the whole astrology thing, no offense to those that follow astrology. But it's figured that with the actual size of our solar system which goes further out then most realize, some say around 2012 the very outside tip of our solar system started touching the new section. Now people can't make up their minds weather we have fully come into the new section from somewhere between 2020 to just recently in 2024. Now these dates I think are partly because of astrology and the fact others can't fully make up their minds either. Partly because they can't decide how much of our solar system needs to be in the new section to be counted as fully in it. So this is a mix of mythology, astrology, and some scientists. It's why in astrology especially it's said we have fully entered the age of Aquarius. So like I said it's a mixture of things, but keeping a open mind there may be little nuggets in it all.

  • Why don't you talk about the 144k are these the light-workers? Also, a lot of people in other parts of the world, specially South America, are coming out daily in other podcasts with their testimonials about being contacted and/or channelers. The curious thing about this testimonials is most are talking about a rescue by benevolent races. Why no American channel or podcast talks about this? They all here seem to talk about the "SHIFT," yet no one talks about a rescue. It makes one wonder. Reply
