  • If the parents aren't going to control their kids, then somebody else has to. That's what's wrong with the world today. People have let their kids go. We need to discipline kids when they act a fool. If I had been there, I may have done the same John, I wouldn't have been able to stop myself.

  • I am amazed how some people do not parent and teach their children respect and awareness of their environment. My parents took us to museums and on a decommissioned battleship. My mom always had us read about the location and discuss what was expected behavior. I am in my 60’s now and I value what my parents instructions did for me in my life. Thank you ,John.

If it had been my son, I would have told him off for his lack of respect towards another person who is working.   • Good for you, John for trying to instill some respect for these soldiers. Just think back to the events that transpired only a few days ago. Horses startled so badly that Troopers were thrown from their horses and hospitalized. Make no mistake John, the soldiers see what you are doing for them and appreciate it very much.     • Yes, Vida, Quaker, Tennyson, and our favorite, Trojan. Vida and Quaker were the two that were injured and unlikely to return to duty.

    • Tennyson is defending his personal space. People forget even horses, cats, dogs or the farmers bull etc. have their own personal space. Ps. The bull, 🐂 I didn't know it was there, until he snorted and pawed the ground. I left sharpish, unfortunately the barbed wire I scaled left me with scars. Bull went back to grazing. I went to see the nurse a lot of antiseptic, and my pet hate 😱 a tetanus injection. Not one of my better days. 😂

  • Tennyson gets stressed when a lot of people crowd him. Above his eyes goes into a bit of a triangle, showing stress. That is one of many stress markers to look for. Could you hear the mother call the child? No, all you can hear is John, so who’s to say she didn’t? Looking through the eyes of a child……there is a magnificent man in a uniform, marching. Maybe you want to be just like him when you grow up, so what’s the harm in marching beside him? Granted, he was a little close, so how about tell the little guy to march behind him instead? He certainly wasn’t ‘Mocking’. Since when is it acceptable for a stranger to walk up to a child and talk to them, let alone chastise them? Talk to the parent, not the child, or simply ‘mind your own business”.

Second of all he was mocking that soldier not admiring him, it's absolutely obvious to anyone with half a brain. Thirdly the fact that you are so vehemently defending this young man and his mother, makes me wonder what's in it for you. That young man is extremely lucky that John stopped him before, the soldier yelled at him, or before the armed police caught him and threw the entire family out.😡

If someone sees a child during something wrong, they should calI them out. I taught for 30 years, and in those later years, things changed. In many cases their children could do no wrong.   • I remember as a kid (along with my cousin) being scolded by a stranger for misbehaving. My uncle caught the tail end of it. When we told him why he jumped all over us. No different cue in what you did except the mom scolded you. 😠 If she can’t keep her kid from misbehaving she is the one needing scolding. Good job John.

  • The mother was filming her son , who wasn’t that young of a child, marching with the guard. The boy was at least 13, old enough to know better. Children are put so high up on the precious stool nowadays at the expense of everybody else. Two of my children are on the spectrum along with other diverse conditions but my children had and have impeccable manners. Even young they had to behave in restaurants cinemas etc or we took them out of the premises.

    • Yes he wasn't 5 or 6 years old, although acted like it. Compare them in the thumbnail, that guard is well over 6 feet tall.

  • John, I watch all of your videos, and I especially liked the one with the elderly gentleman who spoke with you about how glad he was to finally meet you. Your videos are entertaining, emotional, and gives us a wonderful look into the majority of English citizens are kind, thoughtful, caring, and mostly happy. As far as the horses, I am praying the two seriously injured will return to work, but if not they will enjoy the rest of their days at the Horse sanctuary where they care for retired military horses. Keep up the good work, John. You are having a positive impression on a lot of people, and I am doing my best to spread the work about you and your channel.

I've always found the French to be arrogant and disrespectful. People talk and joke about German people but my dealings with them have always been positive. Keep up the good work!

Both are now mum's to sweet little boys who are young gentlemen. After all they are going to be someone's husband and father one day. My 4 year old grandson was 2 when my daughter married, he even bowed to to the ladies he danced with

And what happens when others aren’t respected, disagreements break out. And look at what has happened in our world when we don’t consider the feeling of others.   • OMG I had a big chuckle when John asked the French lads mom...''Is he a clown?'' The mum was taken aback by the question lol. As soon as that lad took off after seeing the Gatesman leave, I KNEW he was going to do something stupid. He seemed upset because the Gatesman left the arch before his photo-op. Had that been an adult, he would been pushed to the floor, especially if they touched (even though slight but, that's not the issue) the Gatesman like the lad did. Job well done John.
