Freemasonry and the Knights Templar: A New Order? | Documentary

Freemasonry and the Knights Templar are both fraternal organizations, but they have different origins and beliefs.
Freemasonry is a fraternity that traces its origins to the local fraternities of stonemasons, which from the end of the fourteenth century regulated the qualifications of stonemasons and their interaction with authorities and clients. These fraternities were composed of stonemasons who were working on the construction of the great cathedrals and castles of Europe. They developed a system of moral teachings and a code of conduct that was passed on to new members through a series of rituals and ceremonies. Over time, these fraternities evolved into a more speculative organization, which came to be known as Freemasonry. Today, Freemasonry is a fraternity that is open to men of good character who believe in a Supreme Being. It is a fraternity that emphasizes personal development and self-improvement through a system of moral teachings and symbols.
On the other hand, The Knights Templar were a medieval Christian military order founded in the 12th century. The order was created to protect Christian pilgrims traveling to the Holy Land. The Templars quickly grew in power and wealth, and they became one of the most powerful organizations in Europe. They were also known for their secrecy and their distinctive white mantles adorned with a red cross. The order was dissolved by Pope Clement V in the early 14th century, and many of the Templars were arrested, tortured and executed.
While Freemasonry uses the imagery and symbology of stonemasonry as a metaphor for personal development, the Knights Templar were a religious order. Some people believe that Freemasonry has its roots in the Knights Templar, but there is no evidence to support this claim. Some conspiracy theories suggest that the Templars went underground after the suppression of their order and that they became the basis of the Freemasons. But there is no historical evidence to support this claim. Furthermore, the principles and beliefs of the two organizations are vastly different. The Knights Templars were a religious order and the Freemasonry is a fraternity, with no religious connotation, but it requires its members to have a belief in a Supreme Being.

  • I had some older Masons who visited with me, asking me to petition to become a Mason. These were both incredible co-workers, who told me at that time, 2007, or ‘08, that they cannot just recommend a person, but that I had to do blah blah blah. I thought about it for several months. I kept coming back to the scripture that says (paraphrasing) do not do things in secret, I know I just butchered that, but anyway, it really bugged me. In the end, while it may have actually benefited me, but I felt the Lord was telling me no.

  • When the templars were disbanded in Scotland. The king was Robert, the Bruce, who had been excommunicated from the Catholic Church, which made Scotland an excellent refuge for the temple as I live in Moray Northeast Scotland. If you visit all the graveyards and old churches they are covered in temples symbols, The Scottish rights freemasonry started in Aberdeen. I’m sure there is a strong connection between the two

  • The Templar trail leads to Scotland then to Nova Scotia where relics were shipped and hidden. Also Nova Scotia has the most masonic monuments and lodges in America. Then, there is Oak Island where something is (was) clearly hidden at immense lenght... This is truly a mindboggling mystery.

  • There are several tidbits of information precariously left out of this video. Firstly when the French king sent his army to attack the templars, it was only a particular segment of templars that had been singled out and attacked. Not all templars came under attack. The pope who finally agreed to condemn the templars was himself a member of another Templar wing. The knights of Malta were another wing who were not attacked, they were called knights hospitalier at that time and from them we have today's Red Cross. The pope who rescinded the papal bull that protected the templars, was a bloodline descendant of a Templar family called De'blanchfort. One of the original nine knights that dug in the ruins of Solomon's temple was a De'blanchfort. So that pope's family had Templar roots. To say that all templars were attacked or eradicated is a gross misnomer. Secondly, the Templar construction in Scotland (ROSSLYN), wasn't built as a chapel, it was much later in time that it became inshrined as a chapel once Scotland fell back under Christian domination. These are important facts that should not be discounted when re-telling the story because the truth shines a bright light on real facts not suppositions and conjectures.😮

  • I think that the Knights Templar were attacked and executed for the simple reason that they had grown so wealthy and loaned so much money to so many powerful men, including Kings and Popes, that they were paying back huge sums of money to the Templars and Philip either just did not want to pay or could not pay, so he got rid of the Templars, it's as simple as that and the Pope, who owed them huge sums of money as well went along with Philips plan and excommunicated the Templars as heretics to justify any actions taken against the Templars, but it all came down to money, huge sums of money owed to the Templars.

  • A lady mason :) (Some Californian lodges have a ladies auxillery with a separate name.) allowed me to read her masonic book. It was historically innaccurate in several details. She wanted me to become a mason. My best friend of many years had been a mason, but was convinced that no Baptist could also be a Mason. They claimed that Masonry was begun by the masons that built Solomon's temple. They do mention Biblically historical names in connection with that. What I found out years later from Christian author dave Hunt was that the highest level Of Masons and Rosicrusians unite in the high occult Golden Dawn society. I had been a member of the Rosicrucian society and read several of their books in the "70s. I left that occult society when I became a Baptist believer a decade later.

  • I don't know about now, BUT I went there with my British wife back in December of 2004. we took the tube to to City of London and as i remember the building came to a point on two converging streets. If you were facing the triangle created and took the left path, you came to a door with what i seem to remember was a triangular shaped window that was covered. I knocked a few times and then a man (about in his 60's) opened the covering and I asked if we could come in and check it out. He carried on like a maniac "No NO get away"

I b believe that it was King Philip of Portugal who refused to kill or destroy this organisation unlike the rest of Europe of that time,even inviting Templar's of that time to come to Portugal for protection
