Peters Spider-Sense in the novel for Spider-Man 3 saved him from the mental control that would’ve also happened if he stayed in it too long. The symbiote tries once or twice to just put Peters personality completely in its control and fails due to his Spider-Sense saving him without him realizing. That’s why it waits so long to try to forcibly take Peters body. Eddie however without such powers in the novel falls under its influence almost immediately on contact. He gets some on him and starts catching pieces of it frantically, even into his mouth. He craved its control over him. He laughs manically up at Peter who after being so drained was about to pass out and couldn’t hear it over the bell.

Guess the 10 year anniversary a month before my 17th birthday got me back into it, started drawing black suited Spidey and Venom during class at school lol. It made me realise that this movie got way too much hate, it’s still fantastic, the fact that the worst movie in the trilogy is still this awesome is a testament to Sam Raimi’s vision and talent, he truly understands and loves the character, this movie deserved more love. Still wish we got the planned 4th, 5th, and 6th movies

In the novel this scene has a lot of Christianity references. God being the reason Eddie and Peter were in the same church at the same time. “How else could Peter Parker and Eddie Brock be at the same church at the same time. God put the pieces into place. The audience didn’t laugh.” Also from what I remember Christopher Young was told to make Venoms Theme as if Venom was “The devil in the flesh.” The novel also has Eddie dying in a way a lot worse, which I thinks makes the suit being a representation of the literal devil make a lot more sense.

This version of Venom is like “The Flood” of the Spider Man movies. Friggin terrifying. And to think Peter had no idea that the bells would be the parasite’s weakness. Got super lucky. In almost any other scenario, it would have been a losing battle for Peter; he would forever be a prisoner inside the suit, never to see the light of day

In this scene especially, it looks so fibrous and bundled, like it’s impossible to rip apart without Spider-Man level strength. Honestly, the part where he pulls that stuff off of his neck is super satisfying. I like the sound of it, snapping and the gooey noises plus the shiny blackness of the suit Ramey made a masterpiece. This is the most satisfying scene from the movies. Except for the fact that they made venom look like a bad guy, even though he originally was a good guy until he was dumped for no reason just because he was a living creature, he didn’t corrupt Peter in the comics.

Corridor said the best CG scenes are ones that blend practical effects with the computerized imagery, and I think that couldn’t be truer here. Tobey sells the agony and pain of this scene so well because Raimi knew he would have something physical to grab and struggle with. The CG itself is pretty much perfect, too. Although… has only 1 issue that I spot, and that’s that it tends to lack shadows casting on Peter’s face, the walls, and the ground. Thankfully it’s shot in ways to mask that, but you can go back to see what I mean. Still a super solid scene, holds up perfectly.

As a kid watching this, I originally thought the symbiote became part of his suit instead of his entire body. Since when symbiote "ate" him, Peter was on his bed with his spider suit on. So when the symbiote consume him, it just turn his suit black and change logo a little bit. I didn't realize that the black suit IS the venom symbiote and not the original suit that I thought was covered in Symbiote. So I didn't understand all the fuss about the black suit. But now I understand that the black suit entirely was suppose to be the symbiote covering his naked body...which it would have make more sense for the suit to be like in the comic or Eddie's.

The scariest part is how strong Peter is and he's struggling to take the suit off imagine a normal human
I like to imagine if a human tried taking it off, it would be like taking off your own skin.
Peters Spider-Sense in the novel for Spider-Man 3 saved him from the mental control that would’ve also happened if he stayed in it too long. The symbiote tries once or twice to just put Peters personality completely in its control and fails due to his Spider-Sense saving him without him realizing. That’s why it waits so long to try to forcibly take Peters body. Eddie however without such powers in the novel falls under its influence almost immediately on contact. He gets some on him and starts catching pieces of it frantically, even into his mouth. He craved its control over him. He laughs manically up at Peter who after being so drained was about to pass out and couldn’t hear it over the bell.
If people don’t understand why Peter is screaming, the symbiote was so attached to Peter that it was like ripping off his own skin
Also, notice how he struggled to pull it off this time unlike at the beginning? I think because Venom sensed that Peter was resisting him

Guess the 10 year anniversary a month before my 17th birthday got me back into it, started drawing black suited Spidey and Venom during class at school lol. It made me realise that this movie got way too much hate, it’s still fantastic, the fact that the worst movie in the trilogy is still this awesome is a testament to Sam Raimi’s vision and talent, he truly understands and loves the character, this movie deserved more love. Still wish we got the planned 4th, 5th, and 6th movies

This scene is the personification of 'getting rid of your addictions once and for all'
In the novel this scene has a lot of Christianity references. God being the reason Eddie and Peter were in the same church at the same time. “How else could Peter Parker and Eddie Brock be at the same church at the same time. God put the pieces into place. The audience didn’t laugh.” Also from what I remember Christopher Young was told to make Venoms Theme as if Venom was “The devil in the flesh.” The novel also has Eddie dying in a way a lot worse, which I thinks makes the suit being a representation of the literal devil make a lot more sense.

This version of Venom is like “The Flood” of the Spider Man movies. Friggin terrifying. And to think Peter had no idea that the bells would be the parasite’s weakness. Got super lucky. In almost any other scenario, it would have been a losing battle for Peter; he would forever be a prisoner inside the suit, never to see the light of day
If Peter had never been separated from the symbiote he would probably take on an appearance very similar to Eddie's muscular and stocky build.

If you look closely, once Peter balls up his fist on the ground, the symbiote does the same thing.
Raimi and the VFX artists did a good job showing the physical properties of the symbiote. In this scene especially, it looks so fibrous and bundled, like it’s impossible to rip apart without Spider-Man level strength. The Venom movies make symbiotes look far too malleable, like they’re made of silly putty or wet paint
Well that’s bc that’s how it’s portrayed in the comics the symbiote isn’t supposed to be how it is in Spider-Man 3

I like to imagine that the rage the symbiote fed Parker-along with it's weakness to sound- gave him that last burst of adrenaline needed to finally tear it open and remove it.
Honestly, the part where he pulls that stuff off of his neck is super satisfying. I like the sound of it, snapping and the gooey noises plus the shiny blackness of the suit Ramey made a masterpiece. This is the most satisfying scene from the movies. Except for the fact that they made venom look like a bad guy, even though he originally was a good guy until he was dumped for no reason just because he was a living creature, he didn’t corrupt Peter in the comics.

The very moment when you have become too toxic and aggressive and you are trying to get rid of it in order to become a friendly neighbor to others again.
Corridor said the best CG scenes are ones that blend practical effects with the computerized imagery, and I think that couldn’t be truer here. Tobey sells the agony and pain of this scene so well because Raimi knew he would have something physical to grab and struggle with. The CG itself is pretty much perfect, too. Although… has only 1 issue that I spot, and that’s that it tends to lack shadows casting on Peter’s face, the walls, and the ground. Thankfully it’s shot in ways to mask that, but you can go back to see what I mean. Still a super solid scene, holds up perfectly.
I only just noticed this, but with the shot of Peter's back as he rips off the symbiote, you can see little hands trying to reconnect.

As a kid watching this, I originally thought the symbiote became part of his suit instead of his entire body. Since when symbiote "ate" him, Peter was on his bed with his spider suit on. So when the symbiote consume him, it just turn his suit black and change logo a little bit. I didn't realize that the black suit IS the venom symbiote and not the original suit that I thought was covered in Symbiote. So I didn't understand all the fuss about the black suit. But now I understand that the black suit entirely was suppose to be the symbiote covering his naked body...which it would have make more sense for the suit to be like in the comic or Eddie's.
To explain it, when the Symbiote "ate" Peter, it 3d printed the Suit's structure and Peter's abilities to it's DNA which is why Eddie Brock was able to have similar abilities
