I lost my daughter to complications of cervical cancer March 24 th. She was 46. Two months shy of her 47th birthday. She leaves behind 2 wonderful children and her fiancee. I'm 74 and this is helping me deal with her passing into Eternity. She's with Jesus.
I'm so sorry about the loss of your precious daughter! I lost my 55 year old husband to Huntington's Disease. At that time, the song by Casting Crowns called "Scars in Heaven" was SO helpful to me in my grief. It still is-four years later. Actually, Jeremy Camp's song "There Will Be A Day" has been a wonderful God-given comfort to me as well. I say God-given because it is straight from Scripture. Your loss was a mere few days ago-I imagine you are still somewhat in shock even if you "knew it was coming" as they say. I "knew it was coming" with my husband but I was still shocked. Even when you know it's coming you cannot totally prepare yourself for when it truly does come. Maybe the songs could be of help to you either now or later-no 2 people grieve the same way. If you think it might help you to listen to them now, then listen; but, if it is too much, then wait. Do whatever helps you the most in your grief.
I love the song, "No Scars In Heaven". I actually have it saved to "Christian Music" on my KZhead. Although, it makes me cry and release my sorrow some. I think you mentioned another song. I will look it up also. Casting Crowns, Dallas Homes, Larnell Harris, Bryan Duncan, Jeremy Camp, Michael W. Smith, and many others have soothed my aching heart and Soul with their music. My 47 year old was my first child. I lost my 5 year old when she was a child. She had CP. She's with her sister and they are both whole again. Thank you for your kind words!
