I'm so happy for Benoit, not only for his impressive, safe, modern equipment but also for his new assistant. Onward and upward.
Felicitacions Benoit!
❤🥰🥰❤❤❤❤👨👩👧👧
Many safe happy years with these newer safer tools!!🥰😃😊😁🇺🇸💕❤️
Is new left hand 😂
Oh I am too. It’s wonderful for him and of course so much safer now. Best wishes to him. God bless.
Actually, Philipp pointing out how not everyday is exciting or interesting is so important for people to hear these days. Life is not a perfectly lit instagram post, or video. And we all need to remember that! Also love to see Benoit up and about again :D
Rightt i neeeded someone to say that...everyones life basically goes thru the same cycle...we have struggles we dont always get moments on camera and we learn a lot by living.
Benoit looks ten years younger! So pleased he has Vincent to work by his side...he is itching to get started with his new toys. Thanks to you, Anna, Daphne and Ian for starting the funding page to support your friend. Hoping Ella and Lily will soon be healed. Anna, love the plants from your shopping spree. Phillip, we all have little obstacles when we're doing jobs around our homes. Your good humour helps you through. Take care all...thank you for the vlogs, never boring and always with good humour!
I too thought that Benoit looks younger.
You guys are bringing me to tears. Phillip, what you did for Benoit was from the heart. Helping a FRIEND IN NEED! He is beside himself with gratitude for your selfless act. Phillip, you bring the “funniest dry humor”and Anna brings a “heartwarming artistic elegance” to your podcast. So enjoy your journey. ❣️🥰
I agree with all you said
So happy for him, Benoit deserves the best tools for his fantastic carpentry.
It brought tears to my eyes watching Benoit’s equipment being installed and his words of gratitude. Tools are the life of a craftsman; and to see someone who works hard and produces quality work receiving such blessings was very moving.
As an ICU nurse Benoit is very lucky to keep all his fingers on his 👋. We had alot of farming accidents weather via ambulance, helicopter, or plane . My hospital it's king of orthopedics in Midwest of USA, I'm very very happy for him. ❤️💪
So glad to see Benoit so happy and grateful…. Things may sometimes be not so interesting but you always make us smile. Good job !
and after all that, Benoit looks great, rested, happy eyes and feeling the love sent to him. A high five ending with Phillip clasping Anna's fingers, and an oops...perfectly enjoyable.
I am tearful knowing so many contributed to this project. Knowing he has a sidekick to train and assist as well as fabricate together brings me great joy. Congratulations Benoît
You can't keep a good craftsman down. Blessings to Benoit and Vincent!!! Ditto to his friends who believe in Benoit and supported him.
So happy that Benoit is healing and proceeding with his new equipment and his helper. He will be busier than ever while also being safe. Thanks to Philip and Anna and Ian and his wife for helping Benoit.
Thank you Philip, Anna, Daphne and Ian for giving us all the opportunity to help a wonderful man, and such a remarkably skilled craftsman. I'm delighted that my small donation not only helped Benoit be safer, but most of all that his is passing his knowledge on to Vincent, and hopefully others in the future too. He will be a marvelous teacher and mentor.
Greetings from a usually silent watcher (aka lurker). Just want to say I am so happy for Benoit and I really loved how he arranged his bandages! I would've done the same, always look for some fun in bad things you can't change for now :) I'm not sure how to say it in proper english but I really hope for Benoit to keep a good recovery, of course as quickly and best as possible! And Vincent looks like a decent guy :)
Am hoping Vincent is a total "nutcase" like Benoit and Phillip........Look forward to seeing the banter between them all!! HUGS Benoit.....
Happy to Benoit smiling, the tools and his assistant will change his life for the better. He deserves it.
Philipp, it was refreshing to hear an influencer such as yourself be honest about the "uninteresting". And I'm glad your day ended with some success. Congratulations, Benoît! Be happy and well in your new atelier. Welcome to the family, Vincent.
Wonderful to see Benoit looking so well and happy in his new atelier.
Lovely to see Benoit and his rainbow of fingers, they look a bit like happy sausages. We’re all so glad his new tools are proving to be a joy for him. He has a long recovery road ahead, and I hope knowing that a renovated workshop awaits him at the end will help to keep his spirits up through this difficult time. Philipp, many thanks to you and Anna for starting the funding drive and giving it so much time in your videos. In the language of my people, it was a mitzvah.
Awe I love the colors for Benoit, they truly are perfect for his skin tone. Glad he is recovering well and he has all kinds of new toys!
How wonderful for Benoit! His heart must be filled with so much joy. To have your wishes come true, to work safely at a job you love, is gold! When something terrible happens to you it's nice to know people care.
Thats great news for Benoit, and what a lovely thing he asked of the people that helped with the money, he was so appreciative.
Benoit is so humble and proud but above all talented and funny.
One of my favorite moments in this vlog was right after Philip shared some of his discouragement and frustration, Anna brought his glasses to him and said, "You're so sexy". She knew instinctively exactly what he needed. It just makes me happy. Thank you for sharing your lives with us.
And she's right. He is. 😊😉🤭
As a woodworker myself, I'm so glad to have been able to contribute a little to Benoit new tools! Losing finger is way to common in our trade. I'm glade he will now have safer tools.
How great to see Benoit so happy with his new equipment. Now he can continue to do the work he loves to do and feel safe doing it. Such a success fundraising for this wonderful person. ❤❤❤
If they clone Benoit, can I have one?
So pleased for Benoit and that he has someone to work with 😊
Philipp, I would be happy simply watching you drinking coffee and reading the newspaper. Just following you and Anna around (without me getting underfoot) is pleasure enough. Please do let us watch Anna making her loose informal flower bouquets and see where she puts them. We haven't visited the other charming rooms in the chateau for a while. There are no lilacs here and I miss them. Love to all of you from St Augustine Fl. 💗
Wonderful to see Benoit happy!! Good to see he has a new artist joining him - and with the new equipment we are sure this Vincent doesn’t lose an ear 😉
I’m so thrilled Benoit has brand new tools. What a joy and also happy his fingers are healing. Thank you Phillip and the other channel for helpful mg him along.
The perfect use of internet. Besides being an artist, Benoit’s joyous nature is just heartwarming.
I had never heard of a Judas Tree, but after this video I did some research and discovered that we have them in the U.S. but we call them Redbud trees. Some varieties, like the Eastern Redbud are native to the U.S., while some are native to your part of the world. I have several of them in my yard.
It's almost a little weird to see Benoit serious--but I'm glad to see he's so sincerely grateful =) And he's got new equipment and an assistant! Sorry you had an "off" day, Phillip. Hopefully today is much better =)
I am so happy for this fine craftsman to finally have safe, up to date equipment. He made beautiful things with the old, so I hope he finds much joy creating more, safely. :) Love from BC Canada
So wonderful to see Benoit with his new tools and a new employee to help. Love his idea of people sending in photos, what a great touch. Best wishes for his future Well don the lights as well Phillip! Garden looks wonderful as well
So happy for Benoit, the flower arrangements were beautiful!
I agree but lilac is deemed as bad luck when brought in doors! Google the story behind this old wives tale. My Mother would never bring it in doors even though our garden was full of it and it looks and smells so georgous. X Rosie O from Devon England 🇬🇧😁
I’ve never heard this before. My Mum always filled out house with it, and I do too. Off to google …
But why would you believe an old wive's tale? There's zero truth to a specific variety of flower bringing "bad luck". That's silly. I buy lilac all the time when it's in season and haven't had bad luck as a result. Why constrain your life and joy and pleasure with unfounded superstitions? Break free ...
Benoit deserves at least a week in the Tropics. So happy for his recovery, new --and safe! equipment....and "left hand assistant."
The happiness on Benoit’s face with his new “toys” is such a joy to see!
And Vincent also is a happy addition!
How to renovate's Favorite Carpenter, Benoit has all of our best wishes for a fantastic recovery and great future with his new equipment. And a huge welcome to Vincent.😊
It was so good to see Benoit and to see him so happy and humble .so happy for him .
So happy for Benoit that he got his new equipment and an assistant. He deserves a safe environment to create. Phillip is hysterical a usual and Ziggy is definitely a star ⭐️ Wishing the girls a speedy recovery ❤️🩹 😍😘
You have Gaura Lindhemersii (butterfly bush) and The one that looks like a wild daisy is erigeron karvinskianus it loves the heat. Enjoy your gardening ps: plant shopping is never a waste of time !!
I think that Philipp will be unable to comment on any plant shopping after his tree spree. 😄
I love gauras, I have a bunch. They grow really large. In my experience they need a sharp pruning in the winter, almost all the way down. I also guessed erigeron! Good to know my gardening eye is working ☺️
And I think the blue/purple might be Campanula poscharskyana, not Lobelia. What do yall think? :)
Benoit is always such a wonderful person & a lot of us have seen it along the way. Not surprised that here he shows his gratefulness for all of the wonderful people who donated for him. A very well deserved gift for all the hard work & effort that he does to help chateau owners with restoration. I'm also happy he has a new helper because this will also help him increase his business safely with the new equipment. Welcome Vincent!
What a wonderful thing to do for your friend, what a difference it will make to him. Perhaps you are a inspiration to us all because that’s what good friends do. Congratulations Philip. Now back to work.
This was great! Happy for Benoit and his new toys and partner! And Phillip and Anna,,you are both so delightful to watch! Congrats on the TV show! Couldn't happen to anyone better,,you set the standard for Chateau entertainment, in my old lady from USA humble opinion!! 😊❤
What a blessing to see a true craftsman united with great equipment.
The smiles all round to see Benoit's new equipment come , and welcome to his new work friend Vincent 😊😊😊 glad he choose someone easy in the eye😂😂😂
Congratulations Benoit! Hope it helped you even a little after your nasty injury x
Thank goodness Benoit seems to be recovering nicely. A safe work environment is all we can ask. Since I’m an operating room nurse. I’m the one in the room while we fix these kinds of things.
So happy for Benoît! Now he can work safely and has help. Lovely flowers 💚🌿🌸
I couldn't watch this, the screen went blurry, my face got wet😢😊
We have fallen in love with Benoit over the years of watching his woodworking craft and definitely his very dry sense of humour. You deserve this gift of new wood working tools , and we look forward to a well healed master craftsmen comedian. Take care.
Oooh, Ziggy! Such beautiful conformation. No wonder German TV focused on him. ;-) I can't express how pleased I am that Benoit has a new apprentice. I have hoped, since you first filmed him, that he would take on someone to train so his amazing skills and knowledge won't be lost when he escapes to the tropics. Hopefully the new machines will be not only safer but also enable Benoit to expand the types of work he has always wanted to do! Hugs to those precious girls. Having casts and braces on during the summer is the WORST. ❤ Maybe it's time to teach them how to paint things like those kitchen parts? Really, Philipp, you are missing an opportunity here. They can't move too far for a while. Perfect time to teach things like wiring and tiling and weeding. Like my Dad did when I couldn't escape... 😄 Just stick them somewhere they can't move and give them a project. 🤣
What a huge blessing for this kind, funny, talented carpenter! I can't wait to see the lovely projects he builds with his fancy new machinery. Your new assistant will be learning from the greatest! Enjoy! Stay safe!
Shed a tear for brave Benoît and thoroughly enjoyed the rest of the video as always. Hope the girls get well soon! What a blessing to have this weird and lovely channel in my life.
It is so wonderful to see Benoit on the mend. His new workshop will help him beyond measure.
Life is so much better when you can do some good for someone. It enrichens us all
This is so exciting for Benoit! He certainly deserves the gifts.
Benoit❤❤❤!! So happy that 4 lovely people have arranged something for another lovely person. And there’s a new face to boot!
I'm so happy for you, Benoît!!! What wonderful news to hear you now have newer and safer equipment to work with and a helping hand to work alongside you!! I can't wait to continue seeing the masterpieces you create!!
Just like your other subscribers, I am so happy for Benoit. Something similar happened to my dad who was also a carpenter. Unfortunately, it was many years ago and the doctors were unable to do the right surgery to save his finger. This incident brought back memories of my father’s accident and brought tears to my eyes as well for my dad and Benoit. I’m so delighted that he had friends like you who were able to mobilize and help him through this difficult ordeal. Benoit is very grateful, it was obvious through his words and I’m glad that he finds himself in a position of hope to continue his master’s work. I admire men that can create as he does. My congratulations to all for showing the world what true caring and true friendship are all about.
Hurray for Benoit’s new equipment. I can see how genuinely touched he is by all the donations and well wishes. If there was ever someone who deserves this type of response, it’s him. And Philipp - what a wonderful thing you, Anna, Daphne and Ian have done for him.
ROFL ooops. Benoit has new equipment and an apprentice - How Wonderful!! His hand is healing well by the looks of things too. Such good news! I am so happy for Benoit, his love for carpentry had him using the tools available and now he has the tools to match his skills and the motivation to heal to use them. Amazing!
How wonderful for Benoit to have great new equipment and an assistant. I sent many prayers for him, and will continue until he is all healed.
Great to see Benoit looking well and happy. Looking forward to seeing him using all the new equipment 😊
Congratulations Benoit! It was great seeing him again. I love your content no matter what is happening. Aesthetically everything is so beautiful and relaxing it's even a pleasure to watch paint dry 😍 Thank you for bringing joy, beauty and my favorite type of humor.
I am so happy that Benoit had his new tools delivered and he is still a cutie. Philip, it's just a moment in time, just look at all of your other sucesses. Nothing can possibly go right all of the time, else we would never enjoy our sucesses. Remember, you need many flowers to bring the pollinators into your garden. Maybe you can have an arrangement with a bee keeper and get some honey in exchange for them putting the hives on your property.
So happy for Benoit and the team. What wonderful good will from the community. And Benoit loves it and the humour
I am so pleased he now has tools he can use safely.
How exciting for Benoit to have all new woodworking tools. I’m happy to be a tiny part of his joy. I truly wish you’re vlog was twice a week I enjoy it so much.
Well done, Philipp, for setting the ball rolling with Benoit’s gofundme-initiative. Sometimes you need to be given the credit you deserve for very entertaining content, but also all the little things you do, making huge differences. Your subtle humor, your self-deprecating quirps and multitude of skills (especially measuring) make for award-worthy content. Thank you! 🇿🇦
So happy for Benoit, and well deserved ❤ Glad to see Philipp had some success after the other disappointing jobs. His voice set off our Alexa when he accessed the lights 😂 Cheers from 🇨🇦
I’m so pleased for Benoit! He absolutely deserves this, and so much more 😊 With all his KZhead fame, I really hope he starts his own channel to show us all the wonderful things he creates with his new toys ❤
I believe Philip is holding Gaura plants at 14:27. I have them in my garden and love their wispiness . They are perennials and spread all throughout. Glad to see Benoit doing well. 😊❤️
I agree, those are Guara plants! They come in pink and white, and the flowers "dance" on the slightest breeze....beautiful! A short lived perennial, unless you divide it every few years, at least in my garden on Vancouver Island. 😊
So glad to see Benoit and he was so excited
I’m smiling from ear to ear because seing Benoit setting up his new workshop made my day 💚🥰😎🤪. Amazing amount raised - 👏!!! About the château, go easy on yourselves - it is not sustainable if you are not enjoying the day to day pace of it & in your shoes, I would consider perhaps filling the chateau up with either family or a few house guest to celebrate how you can now enjoy a more relaxed summer for the first time… ❤ this is, after all, what uou have worked for all along! IMO… just film a little bit here and there, but try to accept that since you have now done a lot of your renovations, your content must change pace, and that it SHOULD be a bit slower for a bit. Try to focus on village life & on a day like today, you can, for examples, tell us more about Benoit, about his new colleague -we would have loved a few words from him - perhaps a few words about your plans for anything you will do in the fall, over summer.
This episode was fantastic (not that the other ones aren’t, but this one is especially sweet). I love seeing Benoît so happy about his new and safe equipment, and Vincent seems like the perfect addition for him (same dry, sarcastic sense of humor). Anna, the color of the petals on your Judas tree branch against the green in that vase by the door - just gorgeous! And Philipp, I especially enjoyed your little “talking” to the camera about your “hard” day, or that your audience always expects something exciting from you, but that life is not like that… Anyway, I’m really happy for Benoît 😊.
How many of us have asked Alexis how come she’s so stupid or screamed at her because she gave wrong direction? Love that part of your vlog the most!
Anna those unknown plants you have bought are Gaura, we call them Pink Butterfly Bush, they’re pretty hardy. And glad Benoit’s machinery has arrived.
Very glad to see Benoit's life changing in this way, to see the light and the life in his eyes is such a treasure!! Vincent's presence was and is a welcome shock!! 😄😁 TY for everything you, Anna, Ian, Daphne, and every can't be named persons for helping make his never dared to dream dream come to fruition 😊🥰🥰 everything at the chateau is looking great but there's an awwwwww for the injured munchkins!!! Huggles for Lily and Ella and Ziggy too just because ❤️❤️❤️🐻🐸🦴
So happy for him. He is such a lovely man.
So happy that Benoit can now do all of his work and be safe. Sorry to hear that Ella and Lily got hurt, but, soon, they'll be able to go to Disneyland. I'm glad to see that I'm not the only one that calls my Alexa stupid!!! LOLOL 🥰
I just love your vlogs, failures and successes-you always make me laugh. Love your sense of humor. Philipp, your spiel about being interesting all the time made me laugh out loud-hilarious!😂 I’m thrilled for Benoit-so wonderful for him to have the new equipment and also his helper. Looks like he is healing well, too-such a blessing! Anna, your flower arrangements are so lovely. Have a wonderful week and I hope Ella heals quickly.
In my village in Dordogne there is an incredible huge 16 th century chateau with a botanical park where I walk the dogs and there are many Judas trees, I didn't know that name of them until you told me here. The colours in real life are incredible. There are also lots of dogwood/cornus and last winter I cut a branch and stuck it into the ground and it is covered in young leaves now, as easy as that!
Hi Stephanie. The Judas tree gives lot's of seeds after flowering. But you need to plant them straight into a pot. If they grow on the ground and you try to dig them up the die. They did when I tried. The seedlings grow very strong roots in the ground. They are a lovely tree. Best wishes from Australia 💚💜
@@franpie2264 Thank you, I will look at what the seeds are like and when to pick them and plant them. Best wishes from the south of France x
That pink ornamental tree is known here in the southern US as a Redbud, a more attractive name. I wonder if there are any other local names in Europe. It seems a shame to associate it with the betrayer.
@@cs3742 Yes much prettier, it's latin name is Cercis siliquastrum. Back when I made gardens (for myself) I used to know most of the plant names in English French and Latin, but alas no more ! x
Isn’t it also called a smoke bush? If not they are closely related.
Its great to see an artist like Benoit get quality tools and equipment.(i think the little white flowers are Erigeron and the tall pink flowered plants are Gaura,’butterfly bush’) Hi Hildergard! Thankyou & Cheers!
I love that both of you are consistently hoarding plants, be it trees or flowers.
Delighted Benoit is getting better. He looked like a child at Christmas with his new toys.😊 I wish him all the very best with his new workshop equipment & his new workmate. 😉👍🏻
Well done to you all in helping Benoit, wish him a speedy recovery👏👏. The plants are Guara and are lovely and once you have them you will never be without them 😂🤣
So happy to hear… we love you Benoit ❤
I’m so pleased to see our dear Benoit so happy with his new safer tools. Now, with a helpful apprentice, he can continue to do beautiful work on these historic projects.
What a beautiful humble Benoit 💛
I got excited like I was receiving new toys. So happy for Benoit.
Super! So happy for Benoit and appreciate the people who gave to a man who gives his all.
Hi Anna! From what I see here, the little white flowers are Eringeron. They grow fast and are everflowering, at least in my temperate climate. Great for the sides of stone steps or tiles, and generally for boxes. BUT they encroach and can suffocate the plants they're around. No need to prune, you can tear the excess growth with your hands to keep them under control. So jealous of those lilacs! What heavenly scent 💜 Also delighted for Benoit!
So glad to see Benoit so happy.
Bless all of you for supporting Benoit to make him safe. I always smile when I watch your vlog.
HE WHISTLES! I love to hear a person whistle.
The power of collective giving, amazing!
❤😊so happy to see a healthy Benoit with his new partner Vincent. So happy he will work in safety now. Is Ziggy stealing the show? Love it.
So overjoyed to see Benoit!! Happy and joyful!! Good job all helping him out!!
