4K CABVIEW: Aurora borealis, northern lights, visible in August! 🤩
I've never seen the Aurora Borealis in an August sky.
Sometimes nature serves you with all the majestic sights of the northern lights and wild life in just one shift.
This video consist of several parts from my latest shift where the Northern Lights (aurora borealis) was visible. A stag dodged the train with a fraction of a second to go, and there was a hare crossing the tracks at Hol Station (not part of this "short").
The best part was the Northern Lights being visible. It was like the sky was on fire, and I'm so glad my Sony FX3 was able to catch it!

There is nothing quite like the feeling you get when the Northern Lights sneak up on you unexpectedly. Thanks for the video!
you should see the sunrise at four thirty in the morning in southern Europe, on the sea before June 21
The deer on the tracks just about gave me a heart attack 🤣
Hehehhe.. I was "please don't stop, buddy!"
The trains and the Northern lights all that I love. Thank you so much for the video. You are so lucky 😊
I held my breath for the buck and released it when he made it across safely! Whew! The sky is so beautiful! Thank you for making this video! 💐🌌
I actually "liked" the vid before I see it, I know it will be awesome to watch. Thanks!
We see the Northern Lights here from time to time, but only in winter, and rarely this bright! Thanks for posting this! It's really beautiful!
Same here. We usually see it late fall and during winter, this is the first time I've seen it in August. A powerful event with other words :D
My favorite 😍
Glad you like it :D
Short, sweet and well received. I’m one of those odd people who has a hard time reading/watching/listening to episodic books/videos/podcasts if it is going to be a long time before the next episode/etc., arrives. Life is busy for all of us and I am not complaining. I’m just explain why I haven’t finished your last video. I have about a half hour left to watch and will probably do so tonight. Your job just excites me. Here in the Ohio Valley we don’t see the Northern Lights. My first and only time to see them in person was in 1978 when we were traveling across country. It blows my mind to think you can go to work at night and experience this phenomenon while driving a train. Surreal! Thank you for this. Enjoy the rest of your summer.
I'm in awe, yet again...
Vary nice of you to share these pictures of that Aurora, Out standing, RCG
Thank you for all you do!
WOW! Thank you SO SO much, @ThatThingYouDo ❤️❤️❤️
I owe my ever-loving gratitude to Rail Cowgirl for her soothing and amazing videos! 🐮🤎☺
I come here when I just want to relax away... I'm so grateful to you cowgirl... You're there my screen and I drink a nice hot tea
Thanks from Spain! Awesome!
Wonderful! Thank you for another great vid!
Amazing look at those northern lights, something I never see where I live. Thank you RCG
Welcome back, RailCowgirl, and thank you for this brilliant video ! I hope you had something better than coconut water to drink. Such amazing views, even considering the fact that your shots from the Bergen Line have been colorful in the past. You may have a hard time topping the quality and uniqueness of this one in future videos. Be safe, always, especially near this sign.
Fantastic. I imagine you sitting there at the controls of your locomotive and watching the sky unfold like a Hollywood thriller.
Thanks for the ride. What a beautiful view! No Northern Lights here in Florida...
No shortage of beauty in this video. Love it! ❤️❤️❤️
You have such a window into the world and nature. Night sky, sunrise, sunset and changing weather, the natural beauty of your surroundings and critters when they cross your path. What a cool view you have. Thanks for sharing.
Stunning to see the lights in all their glory. Thank you for sharing this magical moment with us
Glad you enjoyed it :D

So lovely to have you back! And an experience everyone should witness in person. 🌠
I really enjoyed the video RCG. Watching the Auroras was beautiful seeing them move made me feel peaceful ❤❤❤
Welcome back with this beautiful video! I had the opportunity to visit norway in June...and I'm still deeply impressed by this fabulous country and it's warm and empathic people. Thanks norway for this experience, thanks cowgirl for sharing your awesome views with us!

Thank you for sharing the northern lights! I am so thankful the deer moved out of your way.
So am I, never fun to hit them
Wonderfull! Aurora borealis, northern lights, visible in August! Uncredible!!

You are the reason that we are planning a trip to Norway next year. Thank you!
Yaaaay! ❤️ I hope you’ll find it even mire spectacular soaking in the views in real life ❤️
I watch your Channel all the time and this is the first time I've seen an animal cross the tracks like that. The northern lights are beautiful aren't they, they're gorgeous!
There have been numerous animal crossings in my videos :D But it's the firs time it's been so clear. Usually they don't make it to the other side.
There was the famous white bunny. I'm still not sure if it managed to avoid the train.
Great to see a new vid. Haven't seen the Northern Lights since I was a kid, when we lived on the outskirts of town. Those must have been extra bright to be seen near the lights of town. Thanks so much for the ride-along RCG.
The lights would have been completely insane if we were in January with crisp sky. It says something about the KP5 event :D
Such a beautiful ride!!!!
Wow! That is something very special. Thank you so much for sharing this!
Glad you enjoyed it!
Really nice to watch! Keep up the good work.
Wonderful; thanks for a brilliant display! -and glad to see you again.

Hooray! She's back! A lovely way to have my early-morning cup of coffee. 😀👍 What a wonderful career you have.
Enjoy!
Very nice video (as usual). Aurora Borealis very impressive. Thanks for posting !!
Thank you too!
Thank-you for doing this for us! My folks have seen the lights, one summer they were on the Farmstead in North Dakota. I've never seen them. It was on my bucket list to travel to Alaska in February (we were told that was the best time to see them there) but I'm now 71 & with a shorter list!
What a great job! I managed to get some photos of slight Aurora, from Scotland on the 8th August.
Very beautiful.... Thank you very much!
Thnnks for sharing this. Very interesting. Cheers from Wisconsin!
Do you ever get to see the lights in WI? I saw them once camping up in the woods in the north there.
@@queengoblin I live in a city, so there is too much light polution. I did visit north-central Wisconsin when I was a kid back in the 1950's and remember how many stars I could see in the night sky, including the Milky Way.
@@andrewpalm2103 yeah it's gorgeous up there
Man, the places and things you've gotten to see doing this job! Thanks for sharing! Cheers!! - CM
Thank you :D ❤️
That is a tremendous video, very good quality, and great seeing the northern lights. We're intending to visit Norway (again) in Feb 2024 hopefully to see the Aurora Borealis, so this has been an encouragement! Thanks for this!
You're welcome, and thanks for watching :)
Love it...Oh dear...yes great views.....NO the deer at the very start..!! Thanks RCG and congrats on a very sharp clear video.

Just AWESOME...Thank you
So beautiful 🤩
You are so lucky to be able to see the aurora! Many thanks for sharing.
Thanks for watching :D
Fabulous 'short' video. Hopefully a longer one is coming.. Really enjoy traveling Norway in this way. Thank you.
That was Such Fun!!! Relaxing too! Thank You!!😉🙋🏻♀️
Glad you enjoyed it!
So beautiful! Majestic is the word! :) :)
Stunning !!! In addition, the railways in Norway are well maintained and the trains light up the tracks well, unlike in France...
It's amazingly beautiful, to watch this phenomenon. Yeah, the moose (?) just escaped the oncoming train. I want to see this by myself, so in the near future, I will travel to Norway and watch this. Thank you for sharing.
A deer buck :)
@@RailCowGirl OK. Thanks.
Very beautiful.
Thxsomuch 💖 love your channel✨️✨️✨️✨️✨️
I about yiped seeing that buck crossing the tracks. Glad it made it before kasplat. Love these videos... quiet and soothing when too much noise from the outside world. 3:40 mark is beautiful. 5:31 is another wow, the colors in the sky are gorgeous!
I love the Northern Light. I was in Trumso for over a year in the winter and the best treat was seeing the lights. How spectacular!😀
Great to see your videos again.
Howdy from the tan and brown Sonoran desert country of the Phoenix area. Even with the headlight, looks like beautiful country. The aurora makes it even more mystical.
Yay cool video RCG 😁 awesome 😆 the aurora was nice but the drive at night was even better
amazing!
This is so cool. There's so much we need to learn about the world around us.
I would love to see the aurora in person some day. Such a beautiful phenomenon!
Used to see them quite often in northern MN. 😊
These Bombardier runs like a limo, and yes congrats for the camera, outstanding aurora images, thank you!
Many thanks!
@RailCowGirl, thanks for that. I work in space weather, but I've never actually seen the Aurora. It's rare in southern England and from where I live it would be right over Oxford.
It's so beautiful!! 😍
Thank you! 😊
@@RailCowGirl You're welcome, keep it up 🥺
Super Duper Awesome !
Tons of Fireweed out right now nearer Ål. I would be picking the blossoms to make tea jam!
Awesome thank you 😊
Thanks for the video, would love to travel on Bergen line oneday in my life and see the Aurora with my own eyes. The video really got me hooked and fell in love with bergen railway line.
Glad you enjoyed it!

Should be special for you, since you're all over the video ;) hehehe
@@RailCowGirl very special ❤❤
Cooooool!!! I'll watch it at night, before I go to sleep, for beautiful dreams
I'd be useless trying to drive a train with that going on above me! Absolutely awesome!
Hehe, thanks!
Wow - the night, the aurora, and the night sky are alive now with your new camera! And just look at those stars! This winter, over the mountain pass on a clear night (is that possible? LOL!) The stars will be spectacular!
I think so too :) the images are going to be so much better this winter :D
Brilliant! I'm living in Göteborg and I haven't seen one so far. Maybe next year I'll go up north to try to see one
I recon Luleå would be a good bet :)
Amazing thank you 🙏
Glad you liked it!
The whole world is hurting right now, and some silly people are getting their joy by making things worse. Your videos bring calm & great views of an amazing countryside. Thank you so much 😊
I loved!
Thanks!
That really is something with so much light around. I know the camera picks up more green than you might see with the naked eye, but you could clearly see columns of light. How much green did you see? Just magical.
So beautiful
