  • Something I always liked about the Diaz brothers is their commitment to being athletic. When Conor says "energy" he means cardio, which I love after his asshole comment about "bike rides with the elderly." How does a guy with no camp and less than two weeks notice have more energy than you in the ring? Bike rides aka triathlons.

    @hoagiesupreme@hoagiesupreme8 жыл бұрын
    • +R Jonas there is an old saying 'cardio is your best submission tool' - he got beat fair & square - I think the 'he used his energy better' is his way to minimise his loss. It's like saving the other race car won because it was faster - that's the game! The better man wins because he is better..

    • +R Jonas When Conor went up in gaining weight in such a short time I couldn't believe it. I immediately thought fatigue was going to be an issue, him over eating almost guaranteeing it. I knew his muscle glycogen was going to crash and his metabolism was going to jack is ATP levels among other things if he came out of the gate hard. I'd like to see them fight at 155.

I just watched a featherweight champion, fight a BEAST in Nate Diaz in a WELTERWEIGHT bout.. Were you going to see Aldo do that? Edgar? Urijah? That's why I back Conor McGregor. • lets be honest, he fought a 155er and didnt cut weight, if anything conor should of looked better bc he didnt have to cut weight either, its a glimpse of how he fairs outside of 145, thats why there are weight classes. conor is just used to fighting smaller fighters and thought his power would transit to higher weight classes. it didnt. edgar fought at 155 all his life and never made excuses on ppl being bigger than him, he found a way to win. with all respect, conor learned now he cant just go in thinking his left hand can take out everyone, its not 145. if he will go back to 155, he will face ppl more dangerous than nate. most of the 155ers dont rely on power alone, they are technical and stragetic, let alone very well rounded. im actually happy now bc i wanted conor to reign in his weight classes and see how long he can stay on top. it wont be easy for him but it will be interesting.

    • Chaotic Picks And you're an authentic hater.. Always willing to be a contrarian, aren't you? My point was, no other featherweight would've taken a risk like that, there was no need to.. If you can't respect ANY fighter for having that mentality, then you're missing the beauty in the whole thing & I feel for you. Most McGregor fans were probably Diaz fans first, & that's bc both fighters represent the same thing.. A lack of fear & supreme confidence in their abilities.

      @LaggingBack@LaggingBack8 жыл бұрын
    • +Ryan Drehmann I disagree when u say none of wanted to see it happen like this, I think it should've happened like this. Conors ego put him in this position and he needed this reality check. • Diego Lira Ripa Fair enough you are entitled to your opinion, but consider this. He fought someone two weight classes above him who cat to cut to make the weight for one. Imagine that's like GSP fighting Rashad or Rampage Jackson... Or Anderson Silva fighting Brock Lesnar... Only two weight classes between them but a tremendous difference in size and strength especially when you're not used to fighting anyone close to that before in the worlds most elite and competitive fighting organization.

      @MultipleChoice162@MultipleChoice1628 жыл бұрын
    • ***** He was selling the fight and does a good job of it hence one of, if not the the most, highly paid fighter which the skinny mexican who can't string two sentences together 2 weight classes above him knew. Agreed it was a bad idea to accept but as i said he put up a good entertaining fight considering which is testament to his mental strength.

Congrats to Nate ofkoz, he pulled amazing victory but let's be honest - there's no 'greatness' material in him. He's extremely fun to watch though.

  • Is everyone forgetting that it was Conor who suggested the idea to fight at 170? Days leading up to the fight, Nate was hovering around 165-166 and Conor said to cap it at 170. Yeah Conor had to move up 2 weight division but Nate came into this fight more disadvantaged than Conor. He had less than 2 weeks to prepare physically and mentally and apparently he was struck with a serious illness days before receiving the call to fight. Respect to both fighters tho. Best fight I've seen in a while

I could definitely see that the shots weren’t rocking Nate, but also throughout his other fights he’s not good on defense when there’s wrestling involved.
