Giratina is attracted by imbalance. Since it rules over his own kingdom of anarchy (the distortion world) which is LINKED to the real world, it too cares about balance in the real world. Since if something happens in the real world, he too has to bear these consequences in the world he rules over himself

Even Giratina is less mysterious than Arceus, given the statue and Volo’s alliance with it. My dude fought god with the ten warriors that same god blessed.
17:42 Verse 9 is my favorite, because it’s the origin of a Sinnoh myth from the Canalave Library. It commands you to, when you eat a fish Pokémon, to pick its bones clean. You must thank the Pokémon for the meals it provides and pick its bones clean. Why? Because if these picked-clean bones are returned to the water whence they came, (adrift upon the river), they will return to you, fully fleshed, to begin the cycle anew.

14:10 Just to clarify if you're curious, Cogita notes the time of the true Celestica people (from whom she is descended) was one or two thousand years before the events of this game. The order of events seems to be: 1. The time of the ancient Celestica people who worshiped Arceus, Dialga, Palkia and Giratina. A few thousand years before the events of this game. 2. During this time, a the Ancient Hero has their adventure. They battle Arceus (the Great Unknowable who lives outside of space and time, it's not Giratina most likely since Volo notes the Ancient Hero fought Arceus, not Giratina) and earn its blessing, the ten lights turning the hero's companions into the ten Nobles. Giratina is probably banished during this period. The Plates are also given to various Pokemon including the 10 Nobles at this time. 3. Something terrible happens that causes the Celestica people to gradually abandon their civilization. At some later point, the author of the Old Verses arrives in Hisui and begins living a long, lonely life there. 4. The Diamond and Pearl clan's ancestors/founders arrive in Hisui, drawn by tales of Arceus and the Ancient Hero. They mistake Dialga/Palkia for Arceus and take on the name Celestica for themselves. The author of the Old Verses observes but does not interact with them, continuing to wait centuries for "the one with the mission." And yeah, I still maintain all evidence points to Cogita being the author. ^_^ 17:40 This refers to the messages you can read on each Plate, which describe various aspects of Arceus, the creation of the world, etc.

27:50 Regarding Giratina, it never wanted to destroy the world, it simply wanted to challenge Arceus and Volo directed it to do the things it did. Perhaps battling the player character helped it realize how much damage it had inadvertently done.
I love how he’s trying so hard to piece together lore. It’s actually not that complex but I’d like to think everything in this series that he “figured out” is cannon to the Thamilverse so all this brain power doesn’t go to waste

I’m pretty sure gamefreak did it so we can create our own lore on it. There’s no right or wrong lore. Just like how history is passed down in our world. Not all of it is accurate and mostly is what we made it up to be. Which is really cool haha

Giritina wasn’t banished by Arceus, he banished himself out of respect for the ancient man’s perseverance. Giritina isn’t evil, he just loves distortion, just like Palkia loves space and has wings so he may travel upon his space and how Dialga has a spiked body so he may stay still an feel time flow. Giritina doesn’t hate Arceus, he just wants to mess with him and create imbalance. Like how TTar said Arceus is the light and Giritina is his shadow, a part of him that want to be a little mischievous and mess around, do something crazy. Arceus doesn’t like that and wants complete order and normality so he stays clear of Giritina. Arceus is a combination of all 3 of Dilaga, Palkia, and Giritina which together create a complete world. Rather than Giritina creating soemhting like the others, he is instead the absense of something, the absense of an unlawful, weird world in which the laws of the universe don’t exist. His power is to not use his power: the absense of him = order. Order (laws of the universe like math and gravity) + time + space = the compete universe. It may seem weird but he is the distortion Pokémon. Giritina loves distortion but his part in creating the universe is making distortion absent. This is why he prefers to stay in the distortion world. Rather than distorting things in the primary world which Arceus dislikes, Giritina has agreed to stay in the distortion world where he may be surrounded by distortion without messing with the world. Arceus is pleased with this Arceus isn’t really a combination of the 3, that was a bit misleading how I stated that. Rather that the powers of time, space, and distortion were given to mini gods that came from him. This leaves Arceus with no single power which explains his normal typing. He has no real power as every specific power is held by a legendary or mythical mon that came from him. He is just a watchful deity whose only real power is to control the gods he made. He used Dilaga, Palkia, and Giritina to bring the main character in this game there to save the world, not from Giritina but from Volo. Palkia brought the main character to another place, Dilaga brought them back in time, and Giritina pulled the character out of the primary realm they were in into Arceus’s realm where those time and space changes happened and then distorted the character back into the primary realm but now being the island of Hisui on the beach and back in time. Arceus briefly met the character between the distortions (realm pullings) and used Giritina once again to transform the phone into an arc phone (distorting the phone). All Arceus does is create an order of the universe and instruct the gods to fulfil that order that he sees. Funnily enough Arceus is like the god in the Christian religion, not actually completely interjecting but instructing people and creating beings from him (Jesus) to do things for him, almost like he is actually powerless but just has the power of being all-knowing, all-present, and all-seeing (like into the future and all different universes and parallel timelines). He just watches and occasionally indirectly changes things to follow the order that he foresees and that he must keep…

29:00 it means there is no barrier between earth and sky in the Distortion World. This is exactly how it has always been depicted, with floating islands and waterfalls that act like rivers.
What if the old verses were written by Cogita since she knows all about Arceus and palkia and dialga….?
So what I remember from Platinum is that Cyrus created a second red chain based on the original one and wanted to use the two chains to control both Dialga and Palkia instead of just one. The lake guardians show up just like in DP but they only have the power to stand up to either Dialga or Palkia, not both. Giratina, who still wishes to protect Sinnoh, senses this and comes out to fix the mess, dragging Cyrus into the distortion world. Because Giratina is pissed and rampaging, the real world and the distortion world are flowing into each other, becoming unbalanced. You beat Cyrus to prevent him from taking advantage from Giratina and the situation, after which Cynthia tells you to calm Giratina by either defeating him or catching him, which should put an end to the ensuing chaos.
And he is gone again...

Hey Ttar, there is this theory that might interest you; that Cogita is immortal, and that she is the one who wrote those Old verses!! Upon meeting her, she claims that she will "be able to fulfill [her] duty at last", and then gives no further commentary on what that means, and instead teaches the player about the mythology of the Hisui region. Old verse 12 has some peculiar wording that might suggest this; *"Here, where the ancient Sinnoh people were born, I will spend an eternity... until the one with the mission appears."* This poem suggests that its author has been tasked with waiting for someone with a mission, which seems to fit perfectly with what Cogita said upon meeting you. AND THEN you have Verse 2; *"My own beloved is now gone from me, departed to a place I cannot reach. My old companions have left me behind, their faces faded into days gone by. Still to my breast I clutch this hopeless dream, a futile wish for us once more to meet. O you, who at the world's far-off end dwell, I know your wish-it is my wish as well. But ours are cold and endless winter days, warmed only by memories locked away."* This poem (as well as Verse 9) seems like it is about an immortal being that outlived their companions, and are forever mourning the loss of their loved ones (continuously having to bury the people/Pokemon that they outlive; from Verse 9) and wish that they could die to meet them all once more; which kinda confirms the assumption that Cogita is immortal. This even explains why Cogita wears a black mourning dress: she is mourning the loss of everyone dear to her. However, there is one question left to answer: how? To be honest, I don't know for sure, but it defiantly must have something to do with Arceus. ALSO, when you return to her after catching Enamorus she says how the pokemon would help her travel, but says you can keep it 'for now'. If asked "for now?", she explains that your life is like a mere blip when compared to a legendary pokemon's lifespan, and once you pass, they can return to what they were doing before which would suggest that she'll outlive you or something along those lines. (Btw, most of this was copied and pasted from Reddit. I can't word things for ish :3) If it is true that Cogita is immortal, then maybe she is the distant ancestor of Volo and Cynthia; which would explain why they all look alike! Some food for thought.
I think that Cogita wrote the verses which would make sense but it may also mean that Cynthia is immortal, like Cogita is Cynthia. It’s far fetched but Cynthia in the og games knew a lot about everything in Platinum.

What if Volo was the person who wrote the old verses? He talked about all the pain and strife in his life that made him want to find and capture Arceus. For some reason this sounded plausible to me
Seems unlikely, the author of the Old Verses is weary and lonely, but does not seem to have suffered any particular horrible life events other than having outlived their friends and beloved. They also seem to care a lot more about other people and the world than Volo does. When Volo relates how the Ancient Hero fought Arceus he wonders why this happened, but the Old Verses explain why it happened (it was to prove themselves to Arceus and get its blessing).

I just checked the Jubilife Village article on Bulbapedia to see about Bagin. Ttar was close to the end as the final two packing lessons cost 800,00 Pokémon Dollars and 1,000,000 Pokémon Dollars. It notes that in total, purchasing all satchel slots costs 4,749,500 Pokémon Dollars.

I think the verses are saying the Hero fought Arceus with the nobles (which was already said btw) and gained his acknowledgement so Arceus sent him back to the future, also i think the person who wrote the verses is in fact immortal and is Mistress Cogita, i think volo is her descendant but doesn't know that and she knows so many legends, also it was said the she is a descendant of Celestica people but in the verse they were wiped out so maybe she is the last one P.s. please upload the highlights of the lost episode :) thank you
Not exactly wiped out, another verse notes that the Celestica people abandoned Hisui after some kind of disaster (Cogita/the author of the Old Verses, returned tot heir ancestral homeland of Hisui some time later). That's how knowledge of Almighty Sinnoh and the Ancient Hero spread to other lands and led to the Diamond and Pearl clans deciding to go look for Almighty Sinnoh, as well as how Volo can also claim descent from the Celestica people (i.e. he descended from the people who left Hisui).

The beginning gave me pain when he sold the stardust, shards where he can turn them to star pieces for higher price and the grit stuff where you can make your pokemon have better stats
Maybe Alder in BW is the same guy from Hisui ancient origin. Maybe he was sent to the future through a space time rift.

Kinda sad to see content being removed from the series and the rush to “finish” the grit items and stardust were important, for the price of a bag upgrade he could have bought every recipe and made more, there’s the new battle tower, the path challenges etc that we won’t get to see… I understand the hype around a new game driving this but I’m sure most people would prefer a longer series just uploaded slower around the scarlet/violet posts
To be fair I can see him getting burnt out thanks to the obscene amount of time he spent just catching things instead of doing other things the game offers.
@@Ryodraco That's fair, i was behind him throughout the story (i found his channel due to missing a cut-scene in game and looked it up) but now iv already beat the game and doing the post game battles, he doesn't have to rush the content im sure people would enjoy it coming out slower than being cut entirely
