This is a song that's hard for me to hear, but helps remind me of just how far I've come. Today I have 4yrs 6mo clean time from a nasty pain pill addiction. I used to lay in my shower, sick, crying out to God. "Save me or take me, please, I'm so sorry" and He did come for me. This song was one I would play on repeat for hours, sometimes days. It wasn't immediate, because He knew I wasn't ready. But once I hit my knees, admitted my defeat and started to help myself, there He was. He had been there the whole time... I am so thankful to have been saved. I love my God and I love this beautiful song. 💜

I find that this song brings me to my faith. I’m a recovering addict. Almost 6 years sober. God saved my life! Granted I worked hard for my sobriety but I kept faith that god would get me through the hell I was living and he did! This song touches my heart

This is literally one of the reasons why I love skillet not only they are Christians like myself but they speak from the heart everytime they sing a song and it goes to god. This song represents everything that god is so wonderful to all of us no matter if ur a Christian or not💯
I've been struggling with my mental health recently, and I just can't seem to control myself, my anxiety has forced me to hide from the real world and forget about everything. But whenever I hear this song, something inside me hits me. I know some people aren't big believers but this song impacts me to continue to look up in front of me and continue to have faith to move on. This fight will not be easy but I believe that God and in the name of Jesus, I will find that light at the end of the tunnel. This band no matter what will be my favorite, been a Skillet fan for countless years and this band has helped me get through my social anxiety with these powerful songs. I encourage everyone whatever battle you are facing, do not give up and lose hope, the world may be sick and so many people are cruel but that does not mean you should continue to be a shadow to everyone that admires you. Everyone that knows you are rooting for you and it would not be the same for them if it wasn't without you. No matter how significant your battle is, I believe you will overcome it and reach the light and get out of your shadows. Jackie Faith, you're not alone I lost both of my grandfathers one passed away due to cardiovascular shock back in 2011 right after my graduation parties and another grandfather passed away due to lung cancer back in 2019, I mean every time that I listen to this song it helps me think about both of them and both of them always love me no matter what.

This was one of the only songs my grandma liked from this band and she really loved it. My grandma had a major stroke in my arms in March of 2019 and died pretty horrifically 4 days after that and I continued playing this song through those last couple days and after she died this song was a God-send with processing the grief through that horrible experience. I still listen to this song when life just feels hard. God is good and I strongly feel music is something that can help us with our walk with the Lord.

I lost my grandpa 2 years ago he was diagnosed with lung and brain cancer the doctor gave him 3 months , I prayed day after day god gave me and my Family 1 Year spend time with him and after he die Hurt so much I started listening to My old favorite songs thank you skillet for all you did i’m making a beautiful music Love you all

I was in a similar boat two years ago. I was raised in the church, went every Sunday and youth group on Wednesday. I couldnt find myself believing in a God, especially not in the modern world, not with how life is, not with the church either. God chases us as individuals and Hope's to nurture the relationship as such. I pray he continues to pull at your heart. I pray that you see a beauty in life worth protecting, I pray you realize that's God working in you. Religion isnt perfect, the church isnt perfect, people aren't perfect, but God is. When people say it's a personal relationship they dont even begin to do it justice. I would love to speak further on the topic with you if you'd like to chat message me. We preach Christ crucified because WE KNOW that it is the message and the POWER to TRANSFORM one's mind and heart back towards the Living God. All sin will do is deceive us into thinking that WE can take and play the role of God in our own lives but the reality is that sin will just lie to you and destroy you internally. Evidence of sin in one's life is the spiritual fruit that it produces... anger? guilt? shame? depression? envy? low self- esteem? self-exaltation?(ego)... etc. Us Christians are witnesses of Christ Himself THROUGH our testimony. Therefore we PREACH Christ crucified because of the debt that was paid IN THE SHEDDING OF BLOOD of a perfect, righteous and sinless person who didn't deserve death, instead we do... But OH WHAT AMAZING GRACE that was SHOWN on the cross! It's not that we are disrespecting and trying to shove "religion" down your throat. We PREACH (or "Annoy" as some people refer to it) to you THIS message because WE KNOW that it WILL set the captive free from the curse of sin which is death. Christ's resurrection PROVED that there IS something AFTER death awaiting us. that there IS an afterlife. There IS A RESURRECTION OF THE DEAD. But a resurrection towards what? Eternal life? or Eternal death? It's up to you to decide which one you want. May the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you.

I read the book "The Shack" seven years after my brother was murdered. It brought me out of the valley that I was stuck in. Then the movie came out and this song says it all. It speaks volumes to to the healing.
Iron sharpens iron we as human beings , "spirits made in heaven going through a human experience." Sharpen each other, through music, life's trials and kindness. God speaks through us to each other.
Today I lost my grandmother, she was 80 years old. When I play this song, it helps me remember good times with my family. I wish I could spend more times my grandmother.

My father passed away in May of a failed kidney transplant and my grandma got diagnosed with leukemia today. I was led right to this song. They are and were both wonderful children of God and I fall away so often but I know in the end I'm held by the one who holds the stars.

This comment is probably going to get lost in the shuffle but it’s possibly the only way I’m going to be able to thank you all. This song is what I was listening to the exact moment I accepted Jesus into my life and I was saved. God has used all of you in so many amazing ways and touch so many people including myself and to literally save my life because I was on a path eventually leading to suicide. The glory always goes to God but he used you guys as a big part of my life. God bless everyone!

I was cursed with constant almost daily suicidal thoughts since I was a teenager. I was raised as a Christian but I became angry at God over the years and blamed Him. When I reached my lowest point when I wasn't sure I could carry on I reached out to God and asked Him to come back into my life. He healed me of this mental illness and it has been almost 4 years since the last time I wanted to kill myself.

I first heard them when I wasn't doing too well, my grandpa had just died, and I was pretty depressed and kinda suicidal tbh. The first song I found was the last night and it helped me a lot. I'm not quite as depressed now, but it's still a fight that's ongoing. I miss you grandpa.

I just recently lost my dad. One of my biggest memories with him was going to your guys concert. It was my first and last with my dad. After that night this was our song. No matter where we were going we always listened to this. This was our song and everytime I listen to it, it brings back all of those memories and I wnated to thank you guys for this. He loved you guys and always listend to your music. Everytime a new album came out bought. There was a night when I was younger he was feeling down and he picked me up and slow danced with me to the song Lucy. I just wanted to say thank you again you guys are amazing🥺♥️

Ezzedine Itani I’m so sorry for both of your losses. I lost my dad may 10th it has been hitting really hard lately. We were told by the doctors he was doing good and he would be going home in a couple of day. He was talking to my brother and told him he loved him. 45 minutes later we got a call saying he may not make it and me my brother and sister sat around him and held is hand while he passes away.

I had to watch my kids in the car (covid was just starting to come to US) and didnt see him flatline, but went to say farewell to him after and feel his warm hand for the last time. This song makes me cry. I nearly lost my mom to covid 19 about 2 years ago. I prayed to god that i didn't have anyone to go to and i needed him to comfort me and that i felt alone. He was there for me and my mom and my family at that moment in time. So i thank him for all he did to bring my mom back home to me and my family.
