I’m a Leicester fan and I genuinely wish I could take our home fans up to Leeds next week and say, there you go look at these home fans. That’s how it’s done, that’s the required level of support from a home fan, No happy clappers, No grassing the bloke up in front of you because he called the linesman a twat and it upset your child. We played Shef Wednesday off the park last night and couldn’t muster a half decent chant. Honestly I feel for the players and Manager, the place should be bouncing but there’s more life at the local morgue.
Best comment I’ve seen in a while. Your lads are flying!!
There’s been a few games this season where the atmosphere has felt a little flat at ER, think it’s maybe the fact that promotion is so important and there’s been the odd game or so where it’s looked like we might not get the result we need. It’s ridiculous wanting to go up into a league where realistically unless you’re top 6 everyone else is battling to simply stay in it. Leicester benefitted in a year where a lot of the historic top teams were going through major upheavals, new management, change in core of teams. No team deserves to be in the premiership unless you merit it however. Hopefully we go up auto as Leeds and playoffs are not exactly a positive! 😏
Shame as u guys defo taking 1st place in the championship for granted
Leeds would of been up with Leicester if not for the mess in the early part of the season with players refusing to play & wanting out
Leeds would have been closer. Leicester were 7 points ahead at the start of September but are now 12 points ahead. They were as close as 8 points at the end of November. End of Dec it was 17 points. Gaining😊
Leicester also had issue at the start with players leaving and a new manager.
Would’ve could’ve
@@lestajesta9682 Did Leicester have 9 players wanting to leave? Did they have a change of owners that held up new players coming in? Did they have one of their top players refusing to play for the club? Did they start the season with just 7 players on the bench, 2 of them being goalkeepers?
@lestajesta9682 Leicester didn't lose as many players and didn't have players threaten to sue the club if they didn't key them leave etc! And u kept alot of the core best players u had and invested I a keeper which was desperately needed
Leeds are looking outstanding of late, Farke has concocted a potent force with the wonderful individuals like Rutter and Summerville, it's in their hands, the Friday game v Leicester is a must watch, even for neutrals.
Farke didn't concoct it, he's been given a very good squad. He's a good manager and doing a good job, but we should be getting promoted with the resources we have after 3 years in the PL. Bielsa did the heavy lifting, dragging a midtable Championship squad up and keeping them there for 2 years. Our current squad is unironically better than the one Bielsa finished 9th in the PL with.
@@cockoffgewgle4993 what I meant was how he's moulded em into his system and found a great style of play which suits the players mentioned, all the incoming players have fitted like a glove, also.

As a fan of your own club you’re always going to think “My team has the best fans” but last year i went to Leeds vs southampton at Elland Road. I Couldn’t get tickets for the home end so ended up in the away section with the saints fans. I remember midway through the second half champions of europe with the Leeds fan spinning their scarfs in the air rang around Elland Road. There was 3 Southampton fans stood in front of me i heard one of them say “They really know how to get behind they’re team here” the other friend said “Oh eye you gotta hand it to them great fans” I just stood behind them smiling thinking we really do have quality fans whilst also pretending i’m a saints fan 😂

Been to Portsmouth 3 times in the 80s with Leeds including a night match good days out on and off the pitch 😉
I went to fratton park with leeds during the "pay up pompey" era and the atmosphere was still bouncing tbf
The boardroom at Leeds doesn’t look it belongs in the 1960s anymore. The way it’s run has been completely revamped which makes them even more of a force to be reckoned with.
Does Simon mean the actual boardroom or the board of directors? I suspect he means the room as the board has changed recently.
@@CB-xr1eg yeah that’s the vibe I got as well.
All well and good to compliment the club whilst in the championship. Similar sentiments were being voiced about burnley and kompany. And look at them this season. Hopeless. Kompany has literally resorted to being a poet to divert from their failings on the pitch. Leeds can't wax lyrical about how well they're doing whilst in the 2nd tier. That's unless the second tier is now their litmus for success.
We have to win the games to have the right to be there, and battle the teams in the PL.
I'm an Arsenal fan but I went to uni in Leeds twice and most of my family are Leeds fans. I always think the Premier League is better with Leeds in it. Like Newcastle they're a one team big city. Being promoted back to the Premier League just seemed to lift the whole city. Admittedly they stunk the place out for the last 18 months - 2 years but they have a bigger ceiling than most clubs. With a good run back in the Premier League and a new stadium they could be pushing for Europe in a few years.
Leeds is a premier league team
They were certainly stinking out the PL last season.
No they are championship
The difference between this season and last season is night and day, there's a strange feeling at Leeds at the moment, Hope!

Leeds have a good manager and team
Spot on!! Leeds in the PL!
I’m biased but I think Leeds are one of the most entertaining teams in the entire EFL this year. HOWEVER Burnley were that team last year and look how the Premiere league has welcomed them….it’s all fun and games until you start playing against the big boys :-)
the difference is Burnley simply don't have the revenue to buy and attract top players. With a capacity of just over 20,000 and no real wide world presence they would always struggle and the previous owners used to say that. The new Leeds owners have revamped to whole management team and structure and have decades of marketing experience to increase the presence of Leeds and with it increase the revenue.
True, Leeds is a big city team whose fan catchment area extends almost to Burnley who have the Mancs for competition on the other side . Burnley is a small town.
From your mouth to God's ears, just want to see Leeds stay up and thrive a little better than they did the last time.@@jonathanmonck-mason6715
Nobody deserves the PL until they get the points and cross the line. It doesn't matter about the size of the club its about how the club is run in the background and the recruitment process. Brighton is a prime example of what I'm talking about. About 6-8 clubs ruin the PL with greed, no recruitment and require massive funding. Make the financial ballpark standard and see who progresses.
Still rather have Leeds than Brighton in the prem
Love you too Mr Jordan. ALAW.
Fans forget how difficult leeds had in August, it was pure turmoil
True. We were 9 points behind Leicester after 4 games. So we've basically matched them for 28 games.
When the team, the owners and the stadium match the magnificent support, then Leeds will be competing for trophies again. A long way to go but we are moving forward. A revamped 55,000 stadium will be rocking (currently over 20,000 on the season ticket waiting list). Leicester and Southampton yet to visit ER, some atmosphere awaits. In fairness, Ipswich having a cracking season too. At least one going to miss out. It would be very Leeds for it to be us.
I wouldn't be so complacent , football funny ol' game
I'm a Bristol City fan and Leeds look levels above Southampton, yet lost to them.
Other than our first 4-5 games where we were having players refusing to play and still sorting our squad…..Our worst performance of the season actually came against Southampton. The other games we just didn’t finish well enough. Seem to have a settled squad now so fingers crossed. But it’s Leeds. There’s always something around the corner that’ll derail us.
I love how last season when people were endlessly commenting that "if Leeds/Leicester get relegated it isn't easy coming back up and you get stuck in the championship". When I opined they'll absolutely batter the league I was told "you don't know ball fam lolz". Because Leicester and Leeds really have struggled this season haven't they
We wont think as fans that were promoted until its mathematically there, Enzo will keep the team going to the very end, thats the only way to be.
As a Saints fan I used to like Jordan. I don’t anymore!

LEEDS, LEEDS, LEEDS !!
Its the history of the club the problem is they have been living off it for a very long time Put them in premier league they would be making the numbers up every season The days of been on a par with man utd Liverpool arsenal are long gone
We're still a huge club, domestically. We had top 10 PL revenue our first season after promotion. We wouldn't be able to compete with the top 6-8, financially, unless we get a new stadium. But we make more money than at least half the teams in the PL. And money is the best predictor of success (sadly). But now we have American owners, who tend to be awful profiteers.
Not too long ago people were saying that about City but look where they are now.
Top 6 for shirt sales in the country still just needs proper ownership (now have that) and some ambition and can easily be around that top 8 don’t think any reasonable leeds fan thinks top 4 or titles are coming anytime in the next decade.
@@MK-rj4jn unless you have a 50,000 plus stadium you are going to struggle because of revenue limitations. However the owners have plans to increase capacity as soon as the club returns to the EPL. From what the 49ers and the minority shareholders have said that while the fans may not expect anything for 10 years they do. That is why they spent so long appointing a manager, they are not willing to wait 10 years.

As a Leeds fan I believe that Leeds, Leicester and Southamptons sides are better than palaces, Luton’s, Burnley’s and shef united and Everton’s now and the prem next season might be one of the best ever if all the tin pot clubs go down this year
Agreed. But Southampton aren't a big club and if they don't go up this year they could easily find themselves outside the PL for years to come.

Burnley walked it last season and in all honesty, they've been the worst team in the prem. Kompany for one looks totally out of his depth. The championship is a shambles. The gap between 1st and 6th is 30 points. Whilst the gap between 6th and 14th is 8 points.
