    • @@tuckandsammieCONGRATS on that unit!!! I don’t comment often but you & Sammie remind me of my late hubby & I at your age. Back in the mid 90s til about 2000 we were doing clean outs, flea markets & storage auctions, Berlin, Tacony/Palmyra, Cowtown,Columbus, the one in Vineland etc. I have sooo much respect cuz from experience I know how much work it takes. Back in r day we had 24 hrs to be outta the unit. One year we bought a unit for IDK $50-$100. It was a unit full of soap & laundry detergent. We thought we lost (even tho not much) on that. We ended going to Tacony/Palmyra on a Sunday right after New Year’s. It was freezing w/the windchill single digits. We ended up making about $1200 in a few hours n that’s w/hardly anyone there. We were selling 5 bars of soap for $1.00 n those big detergent jugs for like $5-$7 each. All brand name. About a year before he died he bought a mechanic’s home garage for $1000. The 1st weekend at Berlin we made $3500. We still had stuff when he died. I ended up giving it away to a cple pple who really helped me after he died. It wasn’t always like that. Sometimes it was feast or famine but he did have a motto: YOU GOTTA SPEND MONEY TO MAKE MONEY. He lived that n made it from doing as a part time hobby to quitting his job as a union journeyman carpenter. I did it weekends as I kept my job at the back offices at the bank to carry our benefits. We didn’t have online auctions back then I’ll bet he woulda been loving them. I wanna see you guys succeed at this cuz it’s like I said rewatching my n my late hubby’s youth. Now I’m older remarried raising kids 14,16&19yo n my days are full cuz I homeschool. I’m sending a whole lot of respect and much love to the 3 of you along w/my prayers ❤️❤️❤️🙏🙏🙏🤗🤗🤗 🐈‍⬛ 🐈 🐱🙏🙏🙏❤️❤️❤️ PS- sending love to your PURRFECT fur babies too 🥰

    • C’mon those who are bashing for not taking the trash. I’ve been watching @@tuckandsammiefor a long while now & as far as I can remember it’s usually the opposite. It’s usually left just as good or better than when something was taken, especially curbside. I know from personal experience how hard that unit was to clean out. Used to do it for a living w/my late hubby. After doing that himself if he wanted to take advantage of the $100 deposit so be it. It isn’t like it’s a habit. I’m 1000% positive the storage company isn’t going to lose any sleep over it. AND IMHO this 1 time of leaving trash doesn’t give anyone a bad name AGAIN cuz it’s not a habitual practice. ❤️❤️

      @Bobslady21305@Bobslady213054 ай бұрын
  • I dunno Tucker think is kinda bad deal not to clean out the storage locker, that is part of the contract when bidding. I always drop off personal effects ( pictures / mail etc ) at the office, clear the unit and sweep it out. I know you felt you have been done wrong in the past but now you just passed on the buck to the staff who probably had nothing to do with it and are going to deal with the mess that was left. Great unit though, just wish you took the high road to be honest.

      @Tara-ok3js@Tara-ok3js4 ай бұрын
    • As someone who does this for a living, it is not right to leave all the trash. If Tucker thinks that $100 covers the cost for someone to clean it out and dispose, living in la-la land. Not to mention, some facilities will resell this unit as a manager special, screwing someone else. Sometimes you have to think of the ramifications of your actions. Screwy people exist Tucker, that is the real world but you don't have to join in

  • Tuck just a tip,if you buy a unit, load first and look later,not cool to leave your trash behind,even if you lost the100 cleaning deposit, it's delayed the units availability for rent,plus if your going to get into the storage unit thing,,leave the unit sqeeky clean,they are more likely to call you next time one comes up,learn to spot the things you want to throw away,not the ones you want to keep,load the trash last,take it to the dump and only get charged for what you throw away,take the rest home,eventually you might get your own box truck then you can pull the dump trailer behind you .I would have done the same thing, but it's really not cool,I know you were dead tired, that was a heck of load,next time bring some help with you,much love take care.

Most people have no idea of the work that goes into making content like this and want to rush through the job without getting the footage. I need to protect the ones who I love the most in this world and who depend on me as a father and husband even if that means making hard decisions. • Tucker, been watching your videos about five years before you even met Sammie, so it's been a long time. I was hoping that you would have gone back to get the rest of the stuff, clean out the storage locker to get back your $100, and then show us all the things you got there when you came home. And the basket you threw out you could have used to put stuff in it even to bundle something and sell it all to make more money. But I realize it was hard work to get all that stuff out of there, but since it was so much it could have been made into 2 videos, a Part One and Part Two, after all you spent a lot of money on it.

Also, of all the videos I watch with people buying storage units, you’re the first one that has never cleaned out the unit after they bought it! Even thought it was mostly junk that was left, it doesn’t seem right that you left that mess for them to clean out. You should want to leave a good name for yourself for future buys, but that’s just my opinion!

  • I've been watching you guys for almost four years now. I don't comment often, but when I have, I've been straight up with you, either complimenting you or making critiques. I'm happy that you got such a great score with this unit and thank goodness with all the food that they left in there that everything wasn't covered in rat feces! But not cool Tucker IMHO for leaving the garbage in the unit! When there is that much stuff in a unit, the facilities are pretty good about giving you extra time to clean it out, at least that's been my experience with the dozen or so that we've gotten. I realize you were far from home, but those are all things you need to take into consideration also. I have seen so many youtubers who buy storage units, but I've never seen one of them leave a unit without cleaning it out! You can also hire a cleaning Co to come and dispose of what you didn't want to take with you, but I don't know of one storage auction buyer that has left a unit without cleaning everything and neatly stacking the personal items or bringing them to the office!

    • Tucker is talking about the shady dealing that happens. Facilities going through units and building auctions based off junk of other units, fake bids to jack up prices, and if units sells for cheap the Facility will just pull the auction to put it up again. These are examples of what tucker is talking about. As for the trash he has every right to leave it and lose the deposit. Even without his feelings towards the scam (I mean site) it made zero sense to clean up that unit. Hell the content it provided will get his hundred back. On another note I'm surprised Facilities don't charge bigger cleaning deposits. Make it sting a bit more.

    • @@Tara-ok3js It’s not all a scam but I do believe there is shill bidding happening. Of the previous owner bids up the unit they make money. The facilities also bid up units to get make more money. What I did was totally legal and that’s what the $100 deposit is for but shill bidding is totally illegal and it happens all the time.
