Are 2 Different kinds of birds able to be friends?
Our new guest is this baby Amazon. I tried to let her stay with my cockatiels and gave them a chance to make friends. Really unsure what would happy so I was careful about what they were doing at first. Then after quite a while, I don't need to worry about them.

G'day! We're from Australia with 3 native cockatiels.
Ana: Female, DOB 27/09/2020
Ana is a grey pearl cockatiel and she was bald as she was abused by her parents before she's 3 weeks old. She's timid and can be easily scared.
Lemon: Male, DOB 29/10/2020
Lemon is a pied lutino cockatiel with grey pattern on the right wing. Lemon is naughty and lively. He can't leave people even for one moment, he is unable to stay in the cage for too long.
Quishna: Sex Unknown DOB 07/12/2020
Quishna is a pied lutino as well with grey pattern on the left wing. Quishna is the youngest one and he/she is smart and proud - never allow people to touch but he / she is gradually becoming the lead of the 3.
We live as a family, eat and play together!

The little amazon baby looks so cute but also nervous
With such a big size difference between the birds, every interaction needs supervision. It doesn't matter how much you trust the bird or how friendly they are; even a small warning bite may be enough to seriously injure the cockatiels. (But yes, they can get along very well over time).
Awww the green bird is so cute. Looks so sad that they won't play with him. My Lorikeet is the same way with my Tiel. He tries so hard to play but comes off a little aggressive

The green baby bird is very cute and also looks a bit scared. Hence , he is trying to bite as he is defensive. He is not trying to attack on account of being aggressive.

Yes sure any birds can stay together opened as all parrots n birds are very clever they all understand who is Family member. He won't attack anyone just a bit scared. Just talk him tell him we all are family no one should get hurt just love each other. They are like a baby of 3 years old they can understand every language.

always eb a lil careful amazons do like to bite other birds my cooper he is a kind one but gets close to another bird for years he tried to bite my sunshine my lutino i kept them separate but they do talk back n forth since 2001 i got both sunshine and cooper it might be territorial and wanting more attention but i do spend time with them both as much as possible daily cooper always likes to watch tv a lot in the evenings he goes to sleep after some tv always and me talking to them too he hugs me and tries to groom my hair too they are such sweetybirds sunshine doesnt like being out of her cage though unless im there same with cooper he loves it when i get him some of his fave fruit bell pepper he always says thanks thanks and you know he is happy with that joyful look in his eyes i think sunshine is scared at times cause seeing a raccoon trying to hurt my momo kitty one evening my brother threw a green apple like a fastball that meanie never came back my neighbor who is a vet helped get momo fully looked over and taken cared of she is one tough kitty this happened in 2006 just sometimes amazons dont like other birds too close to them i think its the this human is my human no one elses or my home too stay back or i bite, i always keep them in super great health too and they are happy sweetybirds i think one day he will let others get near but i respect his space for him and sunshine too another reason i dont take them outside is cause i have 4 bald eagles who greets me on a daily bases it was 2 then 3 year after year the offspring comes back every year.

What had happened to the green bird and how did you end up having him/her?
It was a sad story. The baby green bird’s dad flew away and her mom died after giving birth to the babies. The owner doesn’t want to keep them so I was trying to see if she can get along with my cockatiels or I have to rehire her to a loving home

parrots are very intelligent, I have a monk parakeet and every evening he tries to free the rabbit inside his cage, he goes straight to where the locking hook is, I hope I have been understood, I forgot for the moralists, the rabbit is always free, but in the evening for your safety I close it.

almost always birds of different species do not make friendship. imagine as if you've never seen a chimpanzee or a gorilla, it's similar to you, but it's big, weird and makes you nervous. maybe this big ugly thing will eat you alive, who knows?
