Shit, your childhood sounds rad. Mine just felt like licking play dough and crying under the covers. There was also this perfect patch of sand between these two rental houses in our neighborhood. And id play there every fucking day by myself and shape it into a perfect dome. Normally id stick my thumb in the top to make it a "ant hill" and then demolished it whenever I needed to go back inside. Never got old.
