I thought the screen cutout was an issue of technology, not aesthetics. I'd MUCH rather have a clean display than a top notch selfie camera. I'd be entirely happy without one, but I suppose it has it's uses sometimes, so I'd be happy for this to become the norm for flagship models
I have been using notch phones for years, but the notches still bother me, i wanted at one point to buy a pop up camera phone, back then it had a notchless screen, but i guess i'll get one like this once i can afford it lol.

I have an RM8Pro. What a beast of a phone! There's even Red Magic Studio where you can turn any potato PC/Laptop into a gaming PC/Laptop! You can also plug it directly to a Monitor or TV and turn your phone into a gaming console. You can even connect a keyboard and a mouse/controller with it with the right USB adapters.

I've always admired these types of devices, having been a mobile gamer myself. But I just realize there aren't really games out there that can truly utilize the power and features they offer. It gets tiring to constantly see games like PUBG Mobile and Genshin Impact being the main choices for these devices. What we really need are proper console ports, similar to what Apple did with Resident Evil on the iPhone.

I've been waiting years for a good under screen camera phone. If I hadn't finally jumped to a foldable this month I would be scrambling to order this thing. There's absolutely a market segment that rarely uses their selfie camera for anything but face unlock, and having a full edge to edge screen looks incredible. I love the focus on gaming here since that differentiates and justifies such design choices that other manufacturers are not willing to make with their 1000$+ cameras with phones attached.

Stealth black all the way, looks like a professional/business phone but hiding a beast gaming phone. If I have that kind-of phone I'll use it to play either PUBG or CODM plus any heavy emulator games like ps2, wii gamecube and ps vita ❤
I've had a rough one 2 for over 2 years, broke it and switched to Red magic 5 , amazing , broke that too, bow I've had a red magic 7 and it's simply amazing. Can't find a fault, may e just a bit the finger print isn't too accurate, but fast, not buggy, updated, triggers, fans , 165hz screen . I was never a big camera fan ,so this one it's amazing for me. They're really good and I can see a big future for them !
The square corners is the reason I was into the Razer phone. Unique, very cool. I'd definitely go for the Snowfall.

Besides the specs, having an under glass camera and having the back cameras that are recessed and not sticking out... I think that's really cool. I hate when I'm playing games on my iPhone 13 Pro Max and I have to try and ignore that front facing camera.

There's a long answer and a short answer. Short answer is: It isn't viable in this form factor.
I rely on a 3.5mm jack and I absolutely hate camera cutouts (I'm ugly af, so I never take selfies anyway) so this phone is definitely on my list. Although, ill try to keep my Xperia 1 III as long as possible.

I sold my Red Magic 7Pro after a few months but regret selling it it was awesome. The only thing I hate about it is the front-facing but it is understandable because it was not built for selfies it is built for gaming experience.
I current have a red magic 7 and it's been with me for over a year, absolutely love the phone. Will most likely get another red magic in the future when it's time to replace my current one. Happy to see they haven't adopted a notch or hole punch camera and still got a headphone jack when so many others are getting rid of it. Some of the reasons why I got the RM7, though I'm surprised this new one doesn't go up to 165hz like my current one, I guess they realized it was overkill 😂

Even as a phone design is great flat all round no rocking. Great bezels. As a guy I can live without any selfie cam. Love the charging sounds too, simple things you don't get.

Redmagic Snowfall is a win win. (Currently using Lenovo Legion Dual 2. Love the RGB Y, 2 fan lights and 4 shoulder buttons. COD Mobile runs super smooth with 90hz. Having a side USB C is a hugh advantage, especially charging/bypassing while playing the games.
thing is... I really like that phone and the tech in it, but the smallest I'll go in screen-size for games will be my tablet. I got some games on my phone that I play regularly but they would work on any smartphone that has been released since 2015...
I still got my redmajic 5G and I'm impressed and it was cheap... $500 Brand new... 144hz and runs very smoothly..... I have NES, Sega Genesis, Dreamcast, PSP, GameCube and Wii..... And I can hook up to TV with the Cable and Play on the TV..... Great device.... I'm thinking of getting that titanium or snowy one... Definitely like the color

Power isn't the issue with Yuzu. It's thermal throttling (RedMagic has fans) and the app itself is pretty far behind the PC version.

i know right! i bought a sony xperia 1iii from asia, thinking that 5G would work here in canada. but dumbass sony has regional models that don't support the 5G bands here. meanwhile, the actual phone is PERFECTLY CAPABLE!! i CAN enable it on my own, but i'll lose widevine L1(security). and i use banking apps that check for it.

I have the Red Magic 8 Pro, the lack of a punchhole makes watching videos one kind of an experience. Amazing phones with more than reasonable prices.
Op 7 pro was best design all the way up to z50 ultra/ axon 40 ultra series. Just bought my fifth op7 pro for 45€ a few days ago
I am upgrading from oppo a15s, using for more than two years, to this phone snowfall version. 4 GB ram to 16 GB ram. 😸 Cannot wait to play games when it arrived in one to two days. Never been so excited about a phone since Sony Xperia Z ☺️.

i hope they put a dex mode in all phones from now on. the dock pc mode. it's kinda cropped when you use the adapter. They need to put the sd slot expanded memory feature back in. Maybe mini nvme option for this phone for example. i still got my rm s7 pro. it's ok.
I was comparing this and the new S24 which only has 8gb ram and 128-256 storage. For a cheaper price(649USD) you get 12gb ram, 256gb , the same snapdragon processor. I'd buy this over the S24, the s24 only beats this in camera and battery life
I like this a lot. The only downside is the selfie camera but it is a gaming phone so who cares about the selfie camera? Gamers hate taking selfies anyway. 😂 This is going to be my next phone.

@@b3ing In all fairness, Apple is actually in a good spot right now to make a mobile console. Probably not a gaming phone but they finally have complete hardware parity across their product line up (well soon, but Bionic is very similar to M3 in terms of running apps). We have seen them push their Metal hardware API layer, we have also seen them pushing emulation and even native publishing of games (resident evil demo). They are looking to expand their market... they are a business after all. Now they have the hardware, and if they can sell current non IOS people a device that will promote iCloud for saves, Airpods for audio and App Store for games, they have no reason not to.

Bruh, I've always wanted a bezel-less/ camera-less gaming phone, Ive owned a Black Shark, a ROG phone but this year I went with the S23 Ultra, no regrets but I do miss a dedicated gaming mode and the extra gimmicks.

headphone jack (check), micro SD (nope). also due to the "cooling system" I don't think it's been tested for waterproofness. SD card slot and a high IP rating are the only 2 things it needs. the under-screen fingerprint reader is pretty cool, not sure it was mentioned in the video.

using rm8 right now. cant wait for global set of rm9. i wish for 3 things on rm: 1. a proper selfie camera, its embarrasing to use nuclear submarine phone with 1990 camera quality 2. front facing speaker 3. side charging for gaming with charger while on landscape mode ** i hopped over from rog phone so yeah, those features are the only things i miss on that brand

This is mostly for emulation and it does a very good job I got this with the controller and it works amazing and you dont have to use a cable to play it on tv you just use Z cast and it doesnt even lag

Was a fan of the last gen..though it didn't play well with Verizon at times.. As they blocked certain notices a couple months in.. Same for my later phone, the OP11.

I regretted buying 8s Pro Global Version. There's no floating apps and app cloner unlike the Chinese Version. 8s Pro doesn't have an IR blaster while 9 Pro does have. Also they cost the same. 😭😭😭😭
