Not Minecraft, But Water Rises or Minecraft, But Lava Rises, or any other but challenge like that. This is a speed run / speed runner of Minecraft against a killer / assassin but it is me trying to speed run Minecraft like Dream does, however this is Minecraft, But I used a Tier List to rank all of the updates in Minecraft.
Name one update and the best and worst thing about that, I’ll go first 1.20 B: Desert wells now have a good use W: You need smithing templates to upgrade you diamond stuff
1.10 B: Endermen now spawn in the nether (although rarely) making obtaining pearls much easier W: Autojump I wanted to include the biome-exclusive mob variants (Strays and Husks) as the best thing, cause they add a lot to the atmosphere, but Endermen in the Nether are way more practical than some cooler zombies and skeletons
@@laser90 yeah those mobs are still cool additions
1.9 B: Elytras were added, a pretty cool feature imo W: Combat revamp SUCKED
1.4 B: Wither W: THE GODDAMN WITCH
1.18 B: the new caves and high mountains W: the new ore distribution
5 years from now: Minecraft UPDATED UPDATED UPDATED UPDATED UPDATED UPDATED UPDATED UPDATE TIER LIST
Man you underrated 1.7 imo. It added Savannah’s, Mesa’s, Dark Forests, ice spikes, the mega taiga, flower forest (and all the flowers except for dandelions), sunflower plains, birch forests, and readded the snowless taiga from Minecraft beta. 1.7.10 is also when Minecraft peaked at its popularity, and was the most technically stable version of the game to ever exist
1.19 wasn't too special, but I absolutely love the Deep Dark and the Warden. It adds a lot more story and mystery to the game, and it kind of needed that in my opinion. It's also a spooky place, and I like that. It would have been so much better if 1.17, 1.18, and the 1.19 Deep Dark were all released together. And that 1.19 included the mangrove swamps and the cherry blossom biomes, and I would have liked to have fireflies and a better birch forest. Anything left over would be good for 1.20. 1.21 has to be an End, Desert or Deep Dark Dimension update in my opinion.
Yes it’s very underrated but how tf did trails and tales get higher than it 😭
Keep in mind! Mojang said they won't add any new dimensions before all previous dimensions have been updated. Nether ✔️ End ❌ Overworld - Maybe
IKR! People really need to stop ranking shit for what could have been, and instead start ranking stuff based off of what actually was and the quality of the update itself. Like the Wild update was supposedly supposed to add revamped forests or whatever. People also argue that the deep dark was supposed to be apart of the caves and cliffs update so it doesn't even count... I don't think they understand that THAT'S NOW HOW THAT WORKS LOL. If it got added in an update, it got added in an update and the update should be ranked accordingly. It pisses me off how many people hate the 1.19 update when in reality it was one of the best updates added to Minecraft simply because of the deep dark. I even had my doubts when this update came out that it would be trash but I was pleasantly surprised. The deep dark makes even the best of players take their time instead of speed running through it. And those scary noises you hear in the caves actually make you jump a lot more now and make sense to even exist. Not to mention the insane loot you get from ancient cities. All around an amazing update and addition to the game.
@@apradere Ikr... the Trails and tales update is the most overrated piece of dog **** and the wild update was the most underrated update. You could tell a lot of care got put into the deep dark. Trail and Tales on the other hand... the only memorable thing is the cherry tree. Everything else is mid at best. Hanging signs, cool bookshelves, and a couple new flowers are great but every single other update has had plenty of decoration added to the game and more. Trails and Tales is nothing special. Bottom 5 update for sure.
@@jasonsenter1646 Yes exactly, that's what I'm saying. I know Mojang has been a bit of a mess over the last few years, but those flowers and cherry trees should have been in the Wild Update. And the Deep Dark shouldn't have been in that but with the Caves and Cliffs update that shouldn't have been split. The camels should have been in a separate desert update. Anything left over like the bookshelves or hanging signs might have been part of a quality of life update, but I don't know if such an update would be worth the "grand 1.20 update". Please Mojang I beg you. Please update The End.
1.7 added more then two biomes! Heck they added HALF the biomes we know today! And name tags! Stained glass! Truly underrated…
Dark oak forests, ice spikes, flower forest, sunflower plains and the new world generation
this guy is underrated
i agree
that’s what I’m saying
*under updated*
Ikr
I agree❤❤ 2:43
1.16 and 1.18 were definitely my favorites (also kind of unrelated to the update itself but I think that 1.18 had the best title screen background)
YES!! Finally someone mentioned the background for 1.18
wrong 1.15 was easily the best (tbf tho i think that was my peak in enjoying minecraft maybe im just biased)

0:55 I learned English by PLAYING Minecraft! I'm still glad to this day that I did, because my English wouldn't be as good as it is today if I never played Minecraft.
Finally a good video Edit: Okay nevermind, making 1.5 “good” is an understatement. It changes the whole game
yes
Right? I can’t even imagine life without hoppers in all my farms
1.13 was good but THEY NEED TO ADD BETTER CRAWLING ANIMATIONS
"Very chuffed to bits" mannnn that's sharp
so chuffed
Bro, 1.7 basically doubled the biome count and added a ton of variety to the game, it's at least low Good Tier.
“Nether star which can be made into bacon” 🥓🥓🥓🥓1:47
Yay I love bacon
@@PlanetXhypotheses me too
@@mr.z_yt c:
yes try it for yourself
1:37 minecraft added bacon 1.4
7:40 the Bizzy bees and village and pillage update merged in my head so I always think they were the same
4:00 this is a myth. Although elytras were added in 1.9, the ability to use firework rockets was added in 1.11. 1.11 revolutionised: Redstone: observer Inventory: shulkerbox (irreneweble) Hardcore: totem (irrenewable) Travel: elytra rocketing 1.11 should have been called the endgame update. I don't know if I like it, none of it was balanced at all.
1.9, 1.10 and 1.11 were dropped within mere weeks of each other, I used to often mix them up in terms of what they added
finally someone who recognizes the observer the 3rd new redstone component that i would use regularly since 1.16 added target blocks and 1.15 added honey blocks
3:13 Mojang called 1.7 “The Update That Changed The World”, when it barely added anything
No, stop stop stop! Your saying it WRONG its....it added 14 new biomes, not barely added anything
very glad you put buzzy bees in good!!! a lot of people discount 1.15 because it didnt add a whole bunch but it makes sense since it was the off update instead of the main one
S tier: - 1.16: New tool tier, anchor pvp go boom, blue fire, fireproof wood, renewable shulker shells, use for gold helmets, new uses for gold, 2b2t-like volcano biome, nether now worth exploring and even building endgame bases in, instead of people only just barely putting up with its shit because they’re forced to if they wanna beat the game - 1.14: Saved Minecraft, neat new textures, better version of the bow, lots of QOL changes: custom villager professions, renewable totems, a new storage *block* (not entity) for more efficient storage rooms in bases, game now recognizes bases with villagers in them as “villages” more easily, convenient crafting-table variants A tier: - 1.13: New uncraftable and rare weapon, added easier TNT dupe exploit for JE (but loses points for making that unplayable without Optifine on most machines), oceans now have more than just one thing to explore, extremely fast-growing plant you can make into a really efficient fuel source, realized Notch’s old dream of adding fish as mobs - 1.18: Vertically expanded the Overworld for the first time since the build limit’s doubling from 128 to 256 years ago, you now actually have to use skill to go mining instead of just strip-mining at y12 to find everything, added the much-anticipated cave changes to make them more unique and interesting. Loses points for being postponed and for no Deep Dark or Warden yet, though. B-tier: - 1.9 (I’ll probably get screamed at for this but idc): Better boats and ranged-mob AIs, rare enchantment that makes your gear repair itself, elytras (but made them too rare for how quickly all the ships can be looted on servers), getting stuck in water with skeletons nearby is no longer a death sentence thanks to shields, end crystal pvp is lulzy. Loses points for being so polarizing for its sudden pvp changes with no input from the community, to the point that said community almost died as a result of the combat overhaul. - 1.15: Honey blocks being unaffected by slime blocks but still doing the same thing when moved by pistons greatly expanded redstone possibilities, the bees are almost as cute as the pandas, lots of bug fixes, slightly better for server performance. Loses points for how little it added compared to the two gameplay-upending updates that bookended it. - 1.19: I always love to see a new tree to add to my wood collection, semi-automated item collection while mining via the first new tameable mob added since 1.12, and FINALLY THE WARDENS AND WIRELESS REDSTONE THEY PROMISED! Loses points for fireflies only being in the game for like one snapshot, though. - 1.20: Got a bit of hate from those who were expecting the next 1.16 but I think it’s OK to have relatively small updates every now and then to focus on patching old bugs and a few QOL additions like custom armor and two cool new woodsets. Also, it forces you to explore the bastions, adds incentive to visit most structures (even changing the desert and jungle ones for the first time in years) and finally added archaeology (can’t wait to walk past shrines to the pottery gods on servers lol). Loses points for the year-long wait, but hey at least it’ll come while I don’t have college and actually have free time for 3 months. - 1.11: Portable storage boxes to greatly expand inventory, base storage and e-chest capacity; totems of undying made hardcore mode a viable challenge for those who don’t have the survival instincts of Ph1lza. C-tier: - 1.17: Overpromised and underdelivered, was split up into two (and yet a mega-update that upended an entire dimension came out only months before it) F-tier: - 1.10: Laziest update in MC history, added virtually nothing and was so miniscule that they could’ve just made it a revision of 1.9.
Ngl 1.20 should be higher it added a lot more than it's credited for
@@akintolashekoni4600 nah, it's pretty mediocre. Very little of what was added even does anything for gameplay. Sniffers and camels are terrible Cherry wood and bamboo is pretty good Calibrated sculk sensor is a godsend
@@EmperorPenguin1217 archeology left the chat
1.12?
@@EmperorPenguin1217 Camels will be great for easy ziglin (idc what mojang says, to me that was their new name) farms though, just take one through a portal and hit a ziglin while riding it, then massacre them en masse with a smite 5, looting and mending neth sword while laughing like an evil mad scientist. But yeah, why can’t we use their 2-seat thing to move villagers like with boats? And yeah, for how rare sniffers are they should uncover more new plants than just a fancy flower and a new crop (1.9 added beetroots and look what happened)- then again there is still some hope that they could do a piglin brute and add more sniffer plants in one of those 1.20.x revision things but unfortunately it’s s a very small chance given their long history of adding things with wasted potential that are fun for a few minutes but quickly get old (killer rabbit being unimplemented and then removed, polar bears, not making husks drop sand w/o skyblock datapacks, adding llamas for inventory management in THE SAME UPDATE THAT ADDED SHULKER BOXES, recovery compasses being disproportionately dangerous to get for how little their usefulness is, etc.)
I put 1.18 at a C because I don't like how they made almost every cave huge. It would make sense if the caves got bigger as you get deeper but it feels overwhelming making almost every cave in the game huge. It's so tedious to progress because then you'll have 30 mobs spawning in one spot when your five minutes into one of those caves.
1.18 and 1.19 were extremely good, one of the best
You forgot that 1.13 added phantoms. Just reminding you, we could have barnacles which are actually relevant to the update and are not absurdly annoying flying pieces of cr*p
Bring back monsters waking you up if you weren't in shelter! The Phantom just makes everyone avoid night
When we needed him most, he came back
1.3 is very underated it added way more stuff than you mentioned. But it did have 1 super major flaw that RUINED singleplayer. It added open to LAN and even if you didn't open to LAN you will still be playing on a server hosted on your computer that only you can join. This added multiplayer glitches to singleplayer. edit: while in newer updates the situation has improved, singleplayer never recovered after this update.
Unpopular opinion but I actually like the 1.9+ combat system. It's very balanced, you don't need a good mouse, and it's very satisfying to two-shot mobs in early game using just a stone axe. And shields are awesome!
THANK YOU. Old combat was too easy it takes about 3 days to be good at it and 2 weeks to be pro at it. Also anyone with any mouse can be good. Also shields are really good and a cool edition
@@Galaxxymeeps shields should be nerfed, maybe add cooldown too, edit: newer combat is better
1:36 Bro fr said black skeletons💀💀💀
This updated tier list made me😩 thanks for the banger content bro
😩
This guy never gets old
Ah, 1.10-1.12. Those were dark days as a Minecraft fan. Heck, I didn't even remember what 1.10 added until I went on the wiki. Must have lit a fire under Mojang, because Update Aquatic, Village and Pillage, the Nether Update, and Caves and Cliffs are some of the best updates they've put out. Personally, out of the four "resurgence era" updates, I'd have to say Village and Pillage is my favorite, because of how useful and complex its additions are. Everything feels like it has loads of depth, even if it can make the game ridiculously easy.
For me it's the one that added Elytras. Elytras change the game so much. Also the terrain/caves update.
New combat = good for singleplayer Old combat = good for multiplayer
fax
How do i beat wither in Java, Cuz on Bedrock i only spam arrows and attacks
This guy should make more tier lists
I was born in 2011 and the most nostalgic times were the colour update even though I remember before that. Before that I didn't do much in Minecraft though
Im getting too old
The Warden and the deep dark is the best thing about 1.19 skulk sensors can be used in redstone and the warden adds a new level of difficulty and danger
I want more endgame exploration stuff. Something new and difficult.
I like the new combat system because there are so many things and in the old one you just had to click fast and jump in a circle to kill someone
1.12 should actually be in the best tier as it had access to the most mods! And the best building blocks in the game!
Mate, I dunno if you recall Caroline and family, but I'm actually that person. I changed my account and just want to know if you recall Caroline and family ever commenting on your older tier list vids?
actually yeah i do lol, thanks for sticking around
1.12.2 is still one of the best versions for modded. It doesnt have create but it has tons of mods which will be forgotten most likely
1.14 was the update where I have my best memories from but 1.16 was definitely the best as in how much it changed the game.
i can’t wait for updated updated updated update tier list

1.8 was the bountiful update not adventure update. BETA 1.8 was the adventure update (part 1)
FYI, the Adventure Update is Beta 1.7 or so. Release 1.8 is actually called the Bountiful Update.
Was ist mit den 1.21 Apteit?
1.16 is definitely among the best update ever. I mean, although we had 1.20 today, I still play the 1.16 update till this day and not really bothered to update
I use the 1.16 panorama resource pack because 1.16 was the GOAT (I’m not a generation alpha kid BTW)
I’d put trails and tales in best tear because banner shields for bedrock
7:45 - So, 1.15 was Bee Tier? :D
yes
Honey revolutionized airships
Do Minecraft smp tier list next please
i’ll consider it
this guy took updating update to a whole updated level
I think why people really love 1.12 is cuz is was the last update where my Minecraft could run on almost anything and was really stable. 1.13+ tended to be really laggy for servers and lower end pc builds. A lot of servers are still stuck in 1.12
In a few months you should make an updated updated updated update tier list
everyone: bee-con this guy: *_bacon_*
1.9 definitely improved combat
Great update video!!
ty
Your back! :D
i am
i honestly feels like 1.12 is the best version for the community. Most of the mods uses this version. For me, it's the biggest, but ngl the update was okay
Atleast, he payed attention to one of his 500k+ audience, which is all I would say if the funniest thing I notice is that he barely the script at the time of uploading the video. Also atleast he still have to expand details about something.
Tbh l love the 1.9 update for combat
6:41 Aren’t you forgetting something? [Phantom Screams]
I’m actually pretty happy about 1.9 because I don’t have a mouse lol 😂
bros got that samsung smart fridge setup
Lol (my mom has one) 😂
What ?? Messa is one of the BEST looking biomes
Yes but it is quite useless unless you're looking for mineshaft or gold, well now that i think of it its not so useless
OK YOU LIKE SMALL CABINS NOT ANCIENT CITIES RIGHT?
Fun fact. Most of the mountains in 1.18 wouldn't of happened if it didn't win the biome vote until later, possibly removing a chunk of the cliffs part out.
This Tier list will go on forever
freal
this video is gonna blow up just watch
hopefully 💪
I hate 1.14 because it added the glitch were your facing direction randomly changes that makes it basically unplayable. 1.16 finally fixed it.
What??? Cursed swimming came FIVE years ago!?!
yeah
And we wait for the end update from 1.16
1.8 was the Bountiful update, not the Adventure Update.
Now to watch it somehow blow up
💪📈
I grew up on 1.6-1.8, but I gotta say 1.13-1.16 was peak Minecraft.
Does anyone else think that redstone is like the coolest, maybe even the best feature of minecraft?
dont waste your netherite on a netherite sword get a iron axe or a netherite axe instead!
Yay new tier list!
yooo
I just hate how hard it is on 1.9-1.20 cause I’m bedrock and everyone is using the 1.9 system just steals my kills on the hive.
Finally a good video
I just want to say in your opinion which Minecraft controversial feature is worse Minecraft 1.9 cooldown system or 1.19.1 chat reporting system?
chat report definitely
the latter
Chat report cuz I like 1.9 combat since u don’t need a good mouse (and my mouse sucks)
0:27 Hey Okay and Meh are the same thing arent they
Minecraft 1.18 should be in the best category
The picture you showed for 1.8 is the picture for BETA 1.8. 1.8 is the bountiful update not the adventure update. Also 1.8 only added gandians and ocean monuments + all its blocks. It does not deserve BEST tier.
Gotta be honest I still think 1.9 combat is much better. I really like the timing mechanics and the area attacks with the sword. It sucks all these servers give up all of the cool new stuff in minecraft for their spam clicking combat. Hypixel skyblock could be so much cooler, but of course it has to stay in 1.8. Though 1.9 as a whole is kinda boring outside of the elytra. My favorite update is definitely the nether update.
Bro 1.8 also added Ocean Monuments
1.20 came about 1 or 2 weeks after the publishing of the video
I am so happy
Tier lists are back!!!!
yessir
Reason why 1.6 is nostalgic is because it’s before 1.7. Before they removed the incredible caves and changed the terrain. Also for 1.12 people only like it because it’s the version before 1.13. It’s a pretty laggy version.
and people who love modded content since 1.12.2 has some of the best mods ever. Not saying 1.13+ has bad ones its just i think 1.12 is better
The slommy has approved of this epic video
thanks big man🙏
1.12 is the best for building and mods and is the last update that felt true to Minecraft
i cant believe you actually ranked 1.8 at best because 1.9 changed how combat works xDDDDDDDD
1.7 added 14 new biomes and 23 biome variants.
So 1.8 is the update that added those stupid blocks in caves that everyone hates? I remember hating those since the day they came out
Minecraft Updated Updated Updated Update Tier list when
when another few updates come out if i’m still doing this then
3:16 you putted the Beta 1.8 Update here, not 1.8, the Bountiful Update
U missed the sniffer
