Pearl, pearl in a huge shell, more than 20

The snails and shellfish in the video are very common species in the western Pacific, not protected species. The pearls found in them are usually very valuable. This time, when we were going to cook the snails, we found that they had pearls in them. The meat of snails and shellfish is not wasted.
Some pictures in the video may cause discomfort to some people, please watch carefully. Thanks for your support
The meat of the conch and shells was not wasted, we cooked it and it was delicious

  • This comment section. No one here has ever eaten a clam before? Get over yourselves, this woman is making a living and feeding her family. I’m willing to bet she’s doing less to harm the environment in her daily life than most of the virtue signaling clowns posting their false outrage here.

  • To all those worrying, yes she ate the clam afterwards. She said in Mandarin that they could cook it to eat it. So no, it's not just killing the clam for its pearls. It's the same thing as eating your piece of beef or chicken, except you get pearls on the side

  • Wrong type of shellfish for pearl production - you can see that the inner shell of the sea snail there is not coated in pearlescent material. When you find videos on the types of shellfish used for farming pearls, you can see that the inner shell that they produce is shiny with calcium carbonate from the ocean water. This sea snail's shell is bright orange, and that means that the pearls were shoved in under the shell before the video was made, to make an interesting video. Cute, but not hard to understand it's a video made for views and fun. ;-)

    • Don't worry most pearls available to buy are over 90% farmed from oysters as Oysters are more reliable and produce better quality pearls the older they get this is why when harvesting pearls from an oyster they are extremely careful not to damdge the Oyster. This video is of some sort of mollusk being killed in what I think is china as they are speaking mandarin but I can almost guarantee that the snail was eaten after so it's death wasn't in vain.
