Bladee's sonically chilling new album "Cold Visions" dropped recently, bringing blasts from the past in more ways than one. Super interesting, super creative, and also his longest project to date, I think this is a chapter closing and a new one opening.
We discuss Bladee's past, present and future and also why his work is so deeply relatable to so many people and also listen to some snippets from the new albums.
This is taken from my Twitch stream and I edited it using Adobe Premiere and now I'm uploading the video and writing a description and finishing this sentence and adding this word ok and this is it guys yay thanks for watching wow.

music in the intro is Oneohtrix Point Never's song "Leaving The Park" from the movie "Good Time"

  • I feel like Bladee is either seen as a) swedish esoteric spiritual guru on the path to enlightment sharing his journey b) internet rapper w/ aura who makes cool songs c) bad autotune yoshi guy i'm personally more on side (a)...but interested in other perspectives on Bladee

  • I agree with the poetic lyrics point. Everyone in DG, but especially Bladee make you feel the concepts of what he's singing/rapping about. I think Bladee's writing is often overlooked and underrated. Good video btw 🤍

    • Thanks man. I also agree his writing is underrated especially considering the sheer amount of spiritual concepts he references each album.

  • I think i can tell from the intro that this is the channel I've been looking for. I was looking for a video to throw on while working so imma come back later to leave a thoughtful comment I'd venture to guess im one of the biggest bladee enthusiasts out there, it helps that he started dropping the spiritual music while i was getting my bachelors degree in philosophy. I got multiple degrees now and won money for my writing on philosophy since (i bring it up to emphasize my seriousness, been putting lots of time i could be putting into other things into bladee), and im convinced bladee is doing something very next level not just in the themes, but in the way he structures the songs + understands the phenomenology of music. People arent even taking it far enough with reading into his music

    • Had to look up phenomenology lol and I absolutely agree on people not scratching the surface on the messages conveyed in the music. I think the complete aesthetic he develops is super interesting as you look back over his musical progression - he's following something similar to like the passion of the Christ lol

    • lol "Good Luck" to me was like an interesting little Bladee side quest, thought the more electronic production was cool and kinda foreshadowed the Skrillex collabs a bit.
