I do miss that aspect of family time now that my Dad has died. He seemed so healthy but his heart was so sick. Cherish your parents. I am so grateful to have my Mum close by and I try to spend as much time with her as possible. This video brought me so much joy. Thank you!!!
You make the most attractive, delicious looking breakfasts for your guests! I remember the Citroën cars in the 1960s very well.
I love vintage cars… they have so much more class compared to modern vehicles. And yes, cherish your parents while you can and ask about their life experiences.
I so look forward to your videos every Friday! It’s the next best thing to being in Burgundy in person. Your guests are so fortunate to stay at your place-you are such a thoughtful host! I hope to make it there someday 😊.

@@FrenchCountryLife " tant de choses à voir , et si peu de yeux pour les contempler " vous filmez bien les rues, boutiques produits, mais si vous voulez montrer l' architecture d ' une ville.... vous avez oublié, certaines sculptures, certains candélabres, balcons....Paris à un mobilier urbain très riche, fontaines wallaces, candélabres, balcons, portes cochères, statues, entrées de métro " Guimard " kiosques à journaux les toits en zinc, dômes en ardoises..................
ah oui c’est sûr! Quand je filme je vois tellement de détails partout! Je pourrais passer des heures dans un seul endroit pour tout contempler et filmer… sauf que je suis souvent avec ma famille ou des amis ou j’y suis pour faire mes courses etc et ça ne me permet pas toujours de tout enregistrer. Ça mérite une autre visite avec comme seul objectif de créer une vidéo! Ce que je compte faire d’ailleurs donc n’hésitez-pas à partager vos endroits / monuments / bâtiments etc préférés! Je me ferai une joie de tout découvrir!

Pour l' instant, je vous remercie déjà, de savoir rester au moins 2 3 secondes sur des belles choses à voir, contrairement à à d' autres youtube qui filment en courant, sans le temps de voir...

The pasta dish at the end looked delicious. You will have to share sometime.
If you google Dijon chicken you’ll find many recipes that are a version of this. It really just is chicken breast in a creamy sauce with Dijon mustard and I add whatever vegetables I have on hand!

I love the old classic cars too! Your guests are so lucky to have such a wonderful hostess.🥐 I love having the chocolate croissants when I’m in France! Yes, we must cherish our time with our parents for sure. My dad is no longer with us, and so my time with my mom is even more precious.🥰
I lost both parents when they were still young ( in their 70s , which I just became that age) my Uncle ( and fathers best friend) and I became very close afterwards and so I had 30 more years with him and because of that I still felt like a little girl- when he passed at 103 it was truly the first time I felt "grownup" that was 5 years ago but oh how I recall that feeling of youth with him while I was in my 60s!! thank you for sharing so I could have that memory

I like birds voice, means you have many heros. Birds are heros who soreads the seeds by their mouth and shit tgen grow become trees then we are healthy and rich if we have many trees 'right? True, we must show love to our parents , when we able to be good to our family tgen we will becable to be good to other people.
Wow! Your folks are treated like Royalty!!! Look at all that delicious, fresh & lovingly prepared food! They seem so lovely and happy to be with you and Olaf and the grandchildren, but they look amazing and if God is good to them, you will remain just the daughter for a very long time. I have worked in nursing with geriatrics, I can tell you many people are living very well & well into their late 90's and many, into their 100's! You seem to be getting some great weather out there, and what fun to take them out for a ride to a great little lively village! I wonder do Olaf's parents also visit often? Very enjoyable video.
Yes Olav’s parents come quite often too (but they don’t want to be filmed). We are so blessed our parents are all in good health and able to come see us often ❤

What a pretty little town! Love when you take us along for a ride. I realized why every road and town is so pretty - no ugly advertisement signs and posters to take away from the beauty of the land. Ah no! The cabin is very close to our house, I would feel ridiculous using a golf cart for it 😂

Lovely opening commentary. You look like your mom. What I can't believe is that it looks so warm where you are? Could it be? You're in a short-sleeved dress like it's summer. Is it really that warm in Burgundy? It is still winter temperatures here in the USA in the upper Midwest near the Great Lakes/Illinois, Wisconsin and Michigan. The seasons change in France very rapidly or so it seems. Thank you for this journey today. Your food preparations for your parents looked delicious.
It was really warm for a couple of days which isn’t rare in spring here but April is very unpredictable and it can still get below zero at night and cold during some days. It is definitely not like summer anymore now but it sure was during those few days that my parents were here and we fully enjoyed the summer like weather and vibe ❤

Thanks! Happy to hear you enjoyed the video! I’m not a very good cook. I just try things, make mistakes and learn from them. I have a couple of friends who are professional chefs and that’s a little intimidating… I prefer being alone when I cook, but I prefer to be alone in general 😂
