The square-2 took corner cutting too literally
LOL it took me a sec to understand this one
same for corner twisting
I'm literally lol (laugh out loud)
“Corner CUTTING”
It’s corner slicing now no more corner cutting
Hey J Perm! I know this video isn’t about this but it reminded me of a different video you made. Your clock tutorial and ‘trying to solve’ video got me into clock a few months ago. Clock is now my main event and I am now world-class! (Ish) If you didn’t make those videos, I never would’ve gotten into clock, so thank you so much, you’re the only reason I am where I am today.
I normally don't condone clock but this is very wholesome :) Congrats on your progress!

It seems like in general these puzzles have a thing where "version two" means "now with more possible turns!", but that ends up making them actually easier to solve (at least for you).
The "solving cubes with no help" series gets better every time!
Yeah!
Yea
Mhm
Yeah I hope he does this with all of his other non-wca puzzles that he bought before
Next he'll try to solve the cube in your pfp with no help
"It needs to move a lot of pieces so I will call this a G perm" -Jperm 2022
it made sense
lol its so true tho
That's a cool srategy of using commutators! When I figured out how to solve the Square-2 after the Square-1, I combined all the corner halves together arbitrarily first, then used an edge-cycling algorithm I made for Square-1 to cycle corner halves as if they were edges, until they were all paired up. This reduced the puzzle to a Square-1 and then I solved it from there. Cool to see another solution to the same puzzle!
Yea reducing the puzzle to a square1 was what I thougt too
I probably would have tried reducing to Square-1... if i knew how to solve one
Did you actually solve square one!!!😨
@@cub3r220 Took me awhile, but I did figure it out without a guide, as did J Perm!
@@anventia I almost couldn't with a guide

Woahh!!! i did not expect to see you here. never thought two of my most active communities would have anyone in common! you should make cubing videos!!!
@@futbol_rolf9624Literally the same for me 😂
With the commutators you made, you should do square-2 bld! I know this doesn’t apply to you but if you know the parity alg you could just use that to swap pieces using setup moves because all pieces are basically edges
Watched your “How to solve a Rubik’s cube in 10 minutes” during quarantine just to learn how to solve. But then this started becoming a hobby even after quarantine and after watching your content for 2 years now and learning a lot from you o am now sub 20. Thank you ❤️
Same but I'm worse. Been doing it as long as you but stuck around the 40 second mark. You are good keep going. 👍
@@CrazyMurdock77 thank you. 40 seconds isn’t too bad either, just takes a lot of practice to get to sub 20. But you’re doing a great job keep it up
Same!, i've been into cubing for almost 2 years i think and i'm sub 25 average but i usually get some sub 20s!, any tip for me xd?
Same I learned in quarantine too my pb is 15.01 so I taught my friend and after he trained for 2 month he got a 12 second solve
@@marcopoloian3317 Hey that’s awesome to here. One tip that I could give you that helped me was learning some F2L cases that always take a while to solve and full PLL. I do not know full OLL and do 2 look OLL but I do know some OLL cases so if I’m lucky I will get an OLL case that will get me a 15 or sub 15 sec solve, but knowing full PLL learning a couple of f2L , and some OLL and you should be able to get sub 20 with some practice
This guy has to be my favorite KZheadr, first he helped me solve a 3x3, then helped me learn new methods and algorithms, then he helped me use new finger placements. Thanks so much J Perm
solving with no help is my favorite series so far, always makes my day better when jonathan permutation uploads
I am just still completely blown away from when J perm solved the puppet cube and I don't know how you can have so much dedication and patients for the puppet cube,so I give all my respect to J perm!!!👍
I really like this videos. Not because it's nice to see new cubes being solved but I learn more about the puzzles that I do or want to do. Great thinking btw
This is by far my favourite series on this channel. I get so excited whenever I see a notification for this series. Thanks j perm :)
Hello I really love you videos 😊 keep it up!
Your solving square-1 and clock with no help videos motivated me to try the events out too. i can confirm, square-1 is crazy but cool and clock kinda sucks. everyone have a great day
Really enjoyed watching this. Hoping to figure out how to use this knowledge for puzzles I might get it the future. Love you videos btw.
Watched the video where you unboxed the square 2 earlier and couldnt wait for this video. Also, I finally got my first GAN cube today! So far I love it.
Not sure if you have had this suggestion before but it’d be interesting to see you attempt an edge turner like the curvy copter or any of its greater variants. It’s a very intuitive solve until you get to the other variants with skewb cuts which make it more interesting. It would be very cool to see your approach to such a puzzle
Hi j perm, Thank so so much on all of your tutorials! I saw your video on how to solve a cube and I was shocked at the first time I solved it (it took me 3 days 😆) 3 month past and Im almost sub 20 with CFOP. I taught my sister how to solve a month ago and now she’s almost fast as me 😃. I’m Trying to learn full pll now… anyway I wish you the best on your amazing channel, and that’s all from me 👍
Jperm is the best
Hey J Perm this is the first upload of yours after me subscribing you. I am your new subscriber and I am gonna like this video for remembering this video. You are my favourite cuber now. Hope your channel will grow. Your new fan😘
Jperm, you”re videos always make me happy!
Hi J perm! Thank you so much for your great tutorials! Just got a solve in 36 seconds for the first time (was around one minute when I started learning cfop with your tutorials a couple weeks ago)! You’re the greatest cuber ever! Btw, do you think I can go to a competition yet?
go to a comp dude. it will be awesome no matter how fast you are
yes go we all believe you
Hey J Perm! Love the video. Could you do some more example solves with 3-Style? I also challenge you to solve 3x3 but upside down.
Hi Jperm! You and a few more KZheadrs, but mainly u, we’re my inspiration to continue trying and trying! I subbed to u longg ago and I really love ur vids! Keep it up! U never fail to give a smile on my face! ❤❤
Hello Jperm, I love your videos and i wanted to tell you that you are very advanced at cubing. All my cubing knowledge, I owe it to you, and i wanted to point out that since you are very very advanced at cubing your method is a lot easier, but what most people do is convert the Square-2 to a Square-1. I just wanted to point that out, I love your videos a lot. Also I've gotten the Jperm RS3M 2020 about a month ago and from averaging 39 seconds with nearly all oll algs learned, to averaging 25 seconds with the exact same oll conditions to averaging 20-21 seconds with full oll! You have the greatest cubing knowledge and you have one of the greatest creator cubes!!! :)
I love how he just welcomes challenges
Hey Dylan, I would hope to see you revisit sq-1 someday cuz the concepts aren't SO foreign to 3x3 and lookahead is actually quite easy, and I feel like you could easily avg sub-30 within a short amount of time. I got my first sq-1 4 days ago and got a sub-30 single within 2 days after learning!
Yeh but he just do these puzzles for fun ofc he can get sub 20 but at the same u can learn puzzles in 1 to 2 DayZ but he does them by his cube knowledge(btw congrats on sub 30)
I've been waiting for this!
Great video👍🏻 love this series
I would love to see you solve a Face Turning Octahedron "with no help". As the only platonic solid not in the WCA, it has elements of a cube, a skewb, and a pyraminx all rolled into 1 puzzle. It's been one of my most enjoyable puzzles to solve, but it sat unsolved on my shelf for a year.
icosahedron
When you're making a mistake like having blue to the right of red when yellow is on top or I see things like the h perm at the end.... it really makes me want to buy this puzzle. Same with the puppet cube. 🤣 Obviously I would not be able to do this faster or better, but for whatever reason... that feeling of catching one or two things empowers you and you want to buy the puzzle so you can solve it and prove it to yourself. Great sales tactic!
hey j perm your video was just right in time. i am not really in cubing anymore but everytime you upload i still watch your video instantly becouse your videos are really cool keep it up! btw. i still havent forgotten about the video that you wanted to make about the smartcubes the last update was in the 21x21 video
Nice! Loved to see a solution that isn't the usual redux method. What I do is really similar: First solve the first layer intuitively, then cycle one by one the pieces of the second layer with an alg that I got while solving a Time Machine. The interesting part is that, as far as I used that method, I can get no parities at all or I can get consistent parities, depending if I go clock-wise or counterclock-wise when solving the second layer
J perm thank you so much for all the hard work you put into your Video’s.I would never have been able to solve a Rubin’s cube without you.You are really funny which helps me get through solving cubes thank u to you so much😊

You should make tutorials for more cubes! Your tutorials are honestly the best on KZhead and I wish you had a tutorial for some of the harder cubes
Hi! Still watching but I just wanna say your videos really helped my cubing journey and I thank you. Keep doing what you’re doing!!
Nice I can’t believe you’re trying an even harder square- cube series
you havnt even watched the video kid
It’s much easier to solve than the Sq-1 and much more intuitive for beginners

I have been waiting for you to upload a new video because you are my favorite KZheadr and you make everything look fun keep making videos like this😀🎉
I love your videos j perm. Like back in 2020 I learned how to solve the rubiks cube from your video and I've watched you ever since. And just a couple weeks ago I leaned 2 look cfop from your tutorials. And I got a new pb of 32 seconds. Thank you for all the entertaining content and helping me solve the rubiks cube. Commutators for the win! The Square-2 looks twice as fun to solve.
I got my first sub-30 thanks to you. Like even if a beginner would watch your content he'll be 50 times better than before. Thankk youu
Sub 30. Well done you, that is brilliant. I'm a 40 second boy. I want to be faster, I need to learn to look ahead.

That's really nice, every video you make is sometimes better than the last.
Ah yes, 1:46 "like always, im going to start by doing something" so, revolutionary. Amazing, incredible methods for solving. Rly gotta give it to u jperm
3:25 What if you used the bottom to pair up the piece you want to move into the top with the piece it kicks out, then move them both into the top and they are solved? Is that possible?
Yes but woulnt it then kick out more pieces next, its be a lot of pieces to keep track of to solve a whole side that way.
This puzzle is from another universe when it’s scrambled lol
Thanks for making videos those always make my day :)
I'm sub 20 with 2 look OLL and 1 look pll, and my fps is around a 4.5 to a 4.9, and mg best time is 7.2, with a XXcross, and insane LL luck
Oh! I was just re-watching the square-1 video yesterday. Now we get a sequel ❤
Would you try to solve a 4D rubiks cube without help? I can provide a link but I'm pretty sure it's Magic Cube 4D or Magic Puzzle 4D and it's free. So that would be solving a 3x3x3x3 :D Edit: Noice commutatorz
Why not try and solve the 3x3x3x3 with no help?
So… 3x3 Hypercube/Tessarect
I literally went from sub 1 minute to sub 20 in only a few months all because of you.Thank you so much love the vid
I rly love the with no help videos!!
I can’t solve the square 1 so how am I gonna solve the square 2
The fact that he can take the time to figure it out without just giving up is just insane. I would have given up after 2 minuets. Good job! Keep up the hard work! also omg his brain is so much bigger than mine
The zero escape music though! Good stuff!
This is a great video!
I love so much your videos!
Jperm I'm currently learning blindfolded and I'm not sure which cube to use as I know the tengyun (which I have because it's quiet) is good for three style edges but I'm only using pochman method. I love your videos thank you so much! ;D
Great job I could probably never solve that and I’m exited for your next video
Good job johnathan permutation!
I love these type of videos. Trying to solve certain cube without any help
Thank you for inspiring me and so many others
Been waiting for this one
I predicted that you were gonna try this challenge when i saw your last video, amazing
You helped me on how to solve the 4x4 and 3x3 thank you!
your the one that got me into cubing and 2x2 thank you
Just solved my new square 2 for the first time. I truly envy your ability to solve puzzles intuitively. Amazing.
hey, did you ever got left with everything finished but 2 pieces left unsolved? One in the top layer and one in the bottom, so the commutator from j perm doesnt work?
I find it really cool how you manage to adapt 3x3 speed cubing knowledge to something so drastically different. I'm not a cuber, just a spectator, but I find it super cool
Hey j perm, i started cubing 10 months ago, and thanks to your videos helping me, i got a pb of 35.7 last week! I just want to say thank you :)
Nice video man, as someone who can speed solve a square 1 but never attempted a square 2 my approach would be a reduction method, solving the square 2 into a scrambled square 1. For not much square 1 knowledge you did a frigging awesome job man, well done! Watching your videos is also why I started my own channel, you're an inspiration to a 40 year cuber 🤣
12:33: relatable, I once was messing around and got up with a ZBLL algorithm somehow which totally helped my solving🤣
I knew you would make this video 😅, you entertained me, like always
YOOOOOO JPERM !!!!!! i love your vids

1:21 actually thx. This helped me solve 2x2 without any 2x2 video, tutorial or instructions. somehow i rotated corners the right way and then just swap them using only this
Hi Jperm I love your videos
I would love to see you attempt the latch cube. and some of the strange cubes available.
Fell out of cubing but your content is still fun to watch ☺️
You are the one that teached me how to solve the rubik`s cube, i have no plans of becoming a speedcuber but its cool to be able to solve it :)
Hey Jperm I’m really excited for the Gan 13 maglev review
i thought the video was about to end when the end music started playing and i was about to turn off my computer when i just hear the music stop and i look and jperm got parity lol. great video tho this series just keeps on getting better.
Hey j perm! Can u post some practice solves or competition solves? I really wanna see u bringing back the speedsolving stuff
Hi j perm. not related to the video but the gan 13 maglev is coming soon. waiting for your video on that. very exited. and great video as usual.
This is literally the best youtube channel ever
That’s a pretty cool way of solving it although it’s very complicated as opposed to just reducing it down to a sq-1 although seeing as you don’t exactly know how to solve one of those this was a great way to figure it out!
He also could have used the pll alg he figured out in the Sq-1 video and switch every piece similar to the simple commutator alg since every piece can be solved the same way. But yeah, using redux would have been much faster
This brings me back nostalgia, that square -1 video is oldd
Try solving a curvy copter. It's all commutators up until the last step. Very fun puzzle, I'm proud I figured out how to solve it!
Hi, I just want to thank you, I learnt 2 look of you, and I'm not great, I am only just about sub 30, I mess up on cross alot. I also do extra rotations alot, but I got an 18 second solve once
Square 2 is a lot of fun!!! I can't wait to see how Square 1 works and the other cubes named in the video
Hi J Perm. I love your attempting with no help series. I have a suggestion for your next video: the axis cube (axel cube)
and you could maybe make a video on how to solve the axis cube too
Saving this one to watch later, I literally have one of these in the mail, I don't want any spoilers!
What you did there was the beginners blind folded method. It was like choosing any buffer piece from the top and doing an alg to replace it then potting it in the correct place
