Seeing this 3D capabilities on Clip Studio Paint... it makes me cries and wonder... FOR WHAT I SPENT ALL THOSE YEARS TO LEARN THE ANATOMY AND POSES AND SHADING!!!
I mean you should still know those things lmao, you'd limit yourself terribly if you fully relied on pre-posed models. They're supposed to help you out, not carry you
You still have to learn those things. Using the models alone will have your art looking stiff/off. In many ways the models aren't accurate and don't bend properly. Blindly copying them won't give you good art. You still have to learn anatomy/perspective. Especially when drawing different body types.
Learning those were super helpful to not make the poses stiff and make appealing colored images, learning is never in vain 👍
And now we have AI! That can draw better and faster than human artist...
But its also pretty hard to pose the model lol Especially if you want a dynamic pose
"And know, we have a nightmare!" this made me lough so loud XD
Woah, being able to lock each individual finger on the 3d model changes everything!
This was a good straightforward explanation of how to use the 3d model. Thank you for sharing.
Wow so much new knowledge !! I use some dummy dolls. The ability to play with the light source seems so helpful. Thank you for sharing !!
2:52 very good demonstration of panning :D
This is super helpful, I knew about changing single fingers, but I didn't know you could change them all at once with that triangle tool. That's actually quite helpful and saves time! Thank you.
I usually don't use the 3D feature, as I have too many years been drawing anatomy, BUT!!! I did _NOT_ know I could import OBJs and FBX!!! The mountains of things I'm learning with sarajean and these series with an app I've been using as my freakin' every day tool for years, and discovering too many things (am almost angry with myself) as new... My excuse is that I'm a man of habits, and when I find sth that works, I don't research more...(too bad) I am a game artist, I mean, in the past I 3D modeled for a living for a bunch of years (then I moved to greener pastures (design...) where I could actually have a life, HAHA... (don't mind my dark humor)) ... So, that the tool imports OBJs and FBX is _beyond amazing_ . Not really for characters, as I personally prefer to draw them from scratch (but in its day (Jurassic times), as a kid, I learned with a posable wooden puppet and making the main elipses and cubes...Not much different to this), but for scenery it can be useful. Like, importing a building model, then you make your building shots as references. Or better, just basic cubes for complex structures (ie, sci-fi scenery cities, for landscape shots) you then use as a base to grow detail on. You can do this with the great CSP's perspective tool, yep... But the cubes complex scenery would be giving you basic lighting-shadows, the masses, etc. Then is your detailing imagination. Kind of a "puppet for sceneries". And.... every 3D tool I handle exports OBJ. Every single one. And FBX, most apps that allow making a bone based, posable human or creature model, usually export in FBX and/or collada. I said I would not use it for characters... Now I think... a complex spider model, in a final fight happening across 3 comic pages! Or worse... a centipede!! having the 3D model, just posing it as needed, draw over as reference, voilà!... Now... modeling externally the centipede might use the same time than 8 comic pages.... haha. Well... again, for objects scenery would be at least of certain use for me. I guess 3D feature is not for old timers, but is very cool to have it, non the less. And... for manga comic industry, (edit: guilty of starting a comment in the middle of the video... you later on mention this, lol..) or any other requiring tons of fast production work like for yesterday... I would totally see the point. As the speed becomes a huge factor.... For pre existing models or purchased models, or models that would be used repeteadly in an entire comic series, or just the basic-cubes scenery as a base.... It can be great for production speed... And definitely, a tool that can help beginners to learn, and get used to "see in 3D". As the brain needs to be able to process it without helpers, but a way to do so, like with line stabilizers, is to use the feature, but go using it less as the brain adapts, training it to become more and more independent of helpers (3D, line stabilizers). Doing so without the initial helpers can be harder and more discouraging for students than it should ... :) Great work with the video. :) (funny, too :D )
I get nervous when my inbox fills up with dozens of emails from our Design Team. A milestone will be missed, a launch date will be pushed. But today was a much happier occasion. Apparently a new Wacom tutorial featuring TheOneWithBear was released, to the joy of all. Today’s tutorial demystified a major feature many were afraid to tackle, any many unaware of its existence. You could almost hear them abandoning other cherished software completely, singing the praises of CSP, TheOneWithBear, and Wacom for making this series possible. Many a new license was purchased today too from the sound of it. So kudos all around to the entire team for bringing this series to fruition. Great job, all. Especially Sara for making it so fun and approachable. That baby though..... Choseph was it? Yeah, that’s nightmare fuel.
Why didn't I name him Choseph... so much regret now.
Thanks for the tutorial. Best one so far.
thanks sarajean, awesome tutorial!
thank you so much for making this!
Wow this is a amazing tool for posing!
This is gold! thanks for sharing!
Thank you, Thank you! i'm not good with poses and tried this 3d in csp and oh my, the subject was doing all the wrong things, lol...I ended up giving up, but now you helped once again!!😁
Great tutorial! Verry funny. We need more of her.
Thanks so much for the tips!
Great presentation... thank you
Really beautiful voice and good to listen. I also like the funny parts in the video and that I just discovered a new artist with that. I really really like your art TheOneWithBear. Thanks for sharing.
learned SO much from this! thankyouu!
you're amazing Sarajean, I never imagined I'd have so much fun learning something like this. Kudos to you!
This is amazing!!
wow its amazing
I have the Pro, not the EX... so, to convert an object to lineart is needed... I was already having motivation to buy it for importing full layered CMYK files, multiple comic pages handling as a publication (as you don't have a limit in any CSP version to make as many pages as you like, is about handling it all together as a pub), no limit in animation frames and the epub format export. For other users/versions... I guess will be fine and cool too to make your own pencils & inks over the 3D reference model. Anyway (thankfully) they're non personalized characters, obviously, so your own pencils and inks have to be done. Now, the convert to line art feature can be super useful for buildings and objects imported, where those automatic inks are fine for fast production in scenery stuff... In a very fast work pace environment (not my "European comic style" production : 1-2 comic books per year and you feel exhausted, haha).
thank you 🙏🙏🙏
I love your content.. very informative and entertaining just the way I like it. Keep it up
thanks, i use 3d models all the time but there were bits here i still learnt . im trying to find out about measurement and scale when making 3d props to put into csp
This was very helpful and you are a delight ! 😭❤ Subing bc of you
LOVE IT!!! Could we get a manga/comic tutorial next?
You might be onto something here ;)
@@TheOneWithBear Yes I am, into manga arts and still hope to be a character designer one day with a knack for Clip Studio Paint ^^V
this is exactly what I needed (edit) I was not expecting to see what I saw
AIZAWA
I love your tutorials. You seem to have so much fun teaching and it's catchy!!! But do you have a forum for questions? Would like to clear a lot of doubts...
Literally the greatest!
AMAZING VIDEO do more like this one please 🎉
YES
Great vid btw👍🏾
I really love this narrator, she's having so much fun lol
bruh, i had it for a year and i didnt even know you can do all that. thx
I love Sarajean :DDD
this is so useful
What do you do if when dragging the body and dropping into the canvas, it closes the entire application for no reason? I followed everything and I can't figure out why it won't let me use the models.
I always had a love hate with clip studio because of its UI but I'm think I'm gonna get another try after watching this lol 😂
how do you use 2 different models and put them in the same plane?
is there a way to save .fbx files as .cs3c (CSP native 3D) format? Perhaps using Modeler?
Any one an idea why i can't see the option to change the colour and intensity of the dffused light in tool propperty?
wow
Now Let the JoJo poses begin
wooow
HOW DO I CHANGE THE GENDER??????
wow i gotta save for the EX upgrade since i only use filter fx to make lineart for 3d and it looks real bad most times
Clip studio paint Ex is currently 50% off until the 23rd of June.
I love the way she says "sphere"....
i need this kind of teacher...
So I bought a 3d model using clippy points but the 3d model has no texture on it so it just looks like a white blob I don't even think lighting works on it. This makes it very hard to use because I can't really tell what's what. Is there a way to fix this?
Hi... thanks for the video, very informative. I own EX and they say that I can put my software on two separate computers, yet when I tried to put my software on my second tablet I was told that I had to transfer my first to my second. I've tried contacting the company that produces CSP but have not received any solutions or answers, any suggestions on what I can do? I need to have the software on both computers and since I haven't been able to do so I have since purchased a second license, though that defeats the company's initial offer of allowing the software on two computers. Thanks for any help.
Hello! A license should be able to run on 2 PCs. My license runs on PC and my Wacom Mobile Studio Pro. It also could be 1PC and 1Mac. However, it can not run simultaneously on two machines, only one at a time. Also, since you mentioned "second tablet", did you mean PC or tablet? Desktop version and tablet version are not the same (the apps are the same, but their purchase systems are different). Aside from that, in Clip Studio, you must log in as the same user. Hope this helps in some way!
@@TheOneWithBear This is the same information that I have found but for some reason it will not install. I have the original software installed on my desktop PC where I use my Cintiq. the second is a wacom companion 2, and it will not install, it keeps asking me to transfer from my desktop PC. Maybe it is something in my OS that's causing the problem. I won't know that until I wind up re-installing Windows sometime down the road. Thanks for the help anyway.
Is it because of this? www.clipstudio.net/en/news/202004/09_01
those 3 people who pushed dislike are called Joseph
my angle camera tool only move the objects of place, not their angle :v I cant use it, my software is broken
Can you create your own 3d model body type?
I want a wacom one, but it's so expansive. I'm still middle school so my parents don't allow me to by the screen display. Only Wacom Intuos. But my works are still good! ^ ^ And really, I never use 3d model to draw. Draw the pose myself is faster but still watch this if needed!
Look into huion or xp pen! They're much more affordable if you're looking for a screen. Heck, even getting an iPad air would work well too (but you'd have to pay a monthly subscription fee to use the CSP app).
Yup, did all of what you said 100s of times. lol I'm going to hit the like button just for that.
Is this software compatible with Zbrush?
Loving the muscular, confident, baby-thing!
When you watch a Wacom video on the wacom channel on your Wacom one
Ghost! 🤘
What's the difference between Pro and Ex? Big difference in price
Not much really. What I know is that you can get more comics pages and way longer animation with EX compare to Pro. Other than that, they both have the same things.
Pro has a ton of amazing features for any regular use. Even for my own purposes, Pro is more than enough. Ex is geared towards professional comic book artists and animators. The features may not seem much on paper, but are essential for professionals to speed up workflows. These features include: - multipage viewing/3D preview on book mock up - unlimited frames for animations - LT conversion from 3D assets (as shown in the video) - Easy book export options for web and ebook. If you do not do comics/animations, Pro is really all you need! But if you do and are constantly under deadlines, EX is highly recommended.
@@TheOneWithBear thank you 😀
@@JezzLundkvist thank you 😀
"ENOUGH SARAJEAN!" ROFLMAO You are hilarious🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
