Hey man. As a welder, and a longtime viewer of yours, I got to say to be damn careful welding galvanized anything. The zinc coating can be a pain to grind off, but it os well worth it. The fumes from that stuff can really make you sick in a hurry. And, zinc is 100% a contaminant in a weld. Source: I personally welded over 2 miles of galvanized swinging meat rails in a slaughterhouse myself. First few days, boss would get mad that I was "wasting time grinding" until I started getting non stop nosebleeds and felt really sick just all over my body. Do yourself a favor and zing it across a bench grinder or run a grinder over it, or even an 80 grit flap wheel. Keep up the awesome work man!
Galvanized metal welding is highly toxic, glad you doing ok. I know a welder near me who paid with his life!!!
That was my first thought. It'll be a better stronger product if the galvi gets ground off.
Ya man I got really sick once cuz of a tiny peice of galvanized steel. Funny enough I was literally building the same thing when it happened lol. I knew right away as soon as my stomack got sick lol

По-моему, купить готовую будет дешевле. Тем более труба нагрелась до красна, соответственно топливо - воздушная смесь горит не правильно
Если труба разогрелась до красна, то основное сгорание происходит внутри.Это неправильно.
Зачем столько телодвижений? По запчастям дороже, чем готовую купить.

Umm the torch isn’t supposed to get molten hot that means your combustion is happening to soon try shortening the collector should help

Yes it is, the gas molecules will seep thru the normal Teflon!! Use the gas rated Teflon that is yellow.

I have one I built that’s way more functional diddnt take near as many pieces to build doesn’t have a flame running halfway down the pipe itself and the pipe stays cold the whole time I’m melting the flame stays contained in my foundry and the gas from the propane just keeps the pipe normal temp compared to the foundry it’s running in

@@cb250nighthawk3 meh that’s all relative anyway I’m sure any insurance company would fight having to pay because you got the Darwin Award for something… I just go into anything I do with as much knowledge about how to be safe as possible no winging anything. Already had enough near misses with molten metal last one had a drop bounce off my neck after it popped out at me while adding more metal to melt. Definitely humbling but hey you know what they say don’t play with fire and not expect to get burned lmfao

Could have just used T connection and save a ton of time, but ok.... Hopefully somebody didn't get ripped off for this because it very excessive. Looks good though.

I'm not sure what to think about this, a friend of mine who is a plumber says you should never use PTFE tape on gas fittings as in the UK this is illegal for safety reasons, now I know he is talking about natural gas rather than butane gas so I don't know if the same rule applys, but I would definitely check first before attempting to use a self made item like this.

Горелка для пропана которая будет нормально работать стоит 500 рублей, а тут какой то трешак который даже неправильно работает отнял кучу средств , времени, и весит как чугунный мост

I didn't see any sort of fume extractor when that galvanized was being welded. 🤢😵☠️. Toxic fumes are created when welding galvanized steel.

Согласен про ленту, но видимо не знают они ничего другого. А вот про наконечник не соглашусь. В горне газовом уже два года стоит не меняется, полет нормальный 👍

Lots of other good comments on why this is dumb as hell but you need to put a spark arrester on the propane line. You’re gonna end up having a flame get back to your tank and it’s gonna turn into a grenade
That can't happen, there is no oxygen inside the propane tank, the flame will stop wherever the high concentration of propane starts. Where you would need an arrestor would be in a situation where the fuel air mixture is contained in something before the point of combustion... Say he had the air mixing point right at the bottle and the fuel air mix then went down a hose. If that was lit the hose would explode or have a burn back because the fuel is already mixed... But the tank would be safe. Same situation as someone lighting their gas filler, or a gas can on fire with a spark, only the open cap area burns, the whole tank dosen't explode. So if you ever do find yourself in a situation where a gas can lights up (as long as there isn't gas spilled all over the place) you can put it out by covering the fill hole with a rag, shirt, whatever... You can find demonstrations of it. When people panic and shake the can that's when trouble starts.
