This week we're down in deepest darkest Sussex at Eastbourne in search of some spring plaice.
Conditions aren't the most favourable with an ebbing tide and the decision to fish was last minute to say the least! Big thanks to @tonystackleseamatch398 who sorted me out with some quality lugworm and top guidance, thanks Tony!
It's an opportunity to test out the new T800's and casting specials. Stay tuned to find out how we get on.

What a cracking little session David 👌🏻 I wish we had some steep shingle beach’s up our way .. like you said , comfortable fishing in deep water with no snags .. pretty alien to what we’re used to up here eh ! Excellent footage as usual .. 10/10 mate 👍🏻

Mission accomplished spotties and whiting well done mate, especially with it being a new venue. Tony's been going quite a few years now bought a few Zziplex rods of him in the 80's top man and good service, tight lines and keep em coming matey, hope you got the iodine off you wrongun haha

Shame I missed you. I live across the road from that beach and cover Tony for a few hours in his shop most weeks. Had to pop to LA to see a friend the week you were down. Tide runs right to left on flood and left to right on ebb. Ebb fishes well however the water was a bit coloured to get the big place and hook size is normally 2, 1/0s are a bit big. Still you got some fish on new gear well done. Hope that I will catch up with you one day. Tight lines.

A other fab video Dave new rods, new reels, a new venue a d got your target species 4 of the and 2 pin whiting top angling m8. I'm thinking of getting a Penn 525 mag 4 seem nice reels to cast with for ppl wanting to try using a multiplier, keep the videos coming Dave and hope to see Gary back out fishing soon tight lines 👍🎣🎣🎣
Cheers Michael much appreciated mate. I’d suggest going for a Fathom either 15 casting special or 12 size over the mag mate. Better for casting and more powerful with the handle. That might help….🤷♂️

Great little video that and nice to fish for something totally different on different ground and slightly lighter tackle. You mentioned you were meeting a guy to fish in South Wales in a couple of days ? How did that trip go and did you get some good fish and footage for the next video ? 🤔😁🤭😉

Not long picked myself up a t900 sgt hoping to get a few fish on it soon enough, plaice is actually one of my targets this year as I am yet to catch one but great video as always mate

Both spools are over filled bud - Leave 2mm before the top of the spool lip. Reels will then become puppies and not mad dogs.

@@yorkshireaquatics9537 it’s all just practice mate, I spent a lot of frustrating hours developing the style I use. Try and get down and have a practice but only Go for an hour max, any longer and you’ll sicken yourself and go backwards. 💪👍 I’d be happy to give you some tips if you’re local?

hiya mate. ive just got an UL up to 8g rod. when the mackerlel are in in north shields do you reckon theyll takje a topwater little plug/popper? or with pollock, coalfish or bass take a topwater in north shields??
On the day they should hit a top water mate. Just make sure it’s nice and calm and you’re fishing dusk, good luck 👍
