The idea is great. It just needs some reinforcement, especially the handle and its support system.
Okay this looks really cool, and good for u for figuring out a low cost option for a treadmill (that’s awesome and I wish I was that creative hahah 😄), but that looks mega unstable. Be careful there dude
Bolts used as axles should be fixed from 2 sides - so there will be no bias from the pressure from above. Ideally, the axis should go through the entire length of the pipe. side bolt guides should be made of several layers of plywood, this will strengthen the structure, and, as was written earlier, add spacers to the corners. If you use a fabric path of several glued layers of the tube, the roller will not sag when walking and will not cut your legs. Great idea.

Actually no. This could cost as much as the real treadmill. Two angle grinder PVC pipe Dozen of bearings, long bolts and nuts. I've seen the real treadmill sold for cheap at garage sale. Yes its not new, some function maybe broken. But it's surely waay better than this.
@@fajaradi1223 without the handles this could be perfect as a compact treadmill which is hard to find for less than $300 USD. You could also omit the motorized function and use it as a manual treadmill, it would make it quieter too.
I don't agree! This "treadmill" looks like it can't support more than 100 lbs, wobbles and if you run faster looks like it will fall apart. Much better to buy a used one like that guy above said!

A+ creativity, B- implementation--but good for a prototype. The open front and back would be dangerous if you tripped or your foot got stuck. I suggest adding some wood to cover those holes to make it safer. Also, try adding some support spars to make it more rigid, and maybe put a few bricks in the bottom to weight it down. And, if you can maybe wire in one of those treadmill safety switches (the ones which use a magnetic clip attached to the user) to switch a relay powering the motors and speed control. For extra safety. But, for a prototype DIY treadmill this is still pretty cool.

Instead of angle grinders you can use 775 motors so your project will run with DC Voltage ⚡ and that will be grate by the way nice project bro

@@josephhenry1274 don't make this it will kill you or kill two good grinders , save money and buy a good treadmill at least 2hp power and if you can find one with AC motor the better , lubricate three times a month and you'll be fine
