Amazing track

😂😂
When he said “ having the double chin lit up” I felt that lmao… great video, this light will go in to my cart. Very good for its price point
Right?? I felt called out too. Lol
Aside from audio, lighting can be one of the biggest struggles. It is good to see that simple angles and small budgets can produce great results! This is perfect for channels still trying to figure out the best settings. Thanks Nolan and Think Media!
Our pleasure!
Most people don't have the space or money to be able to have a multi-light setup so this is perfect for smaller KZheadrs!
We agree!
If they know what I know they’ll use Klarna! 🤷🏽♂️😂
This is probably one of the best videos you've made yet Nolan. Been really working on my storytelling with tutorial videos so I can really appreciate all your B-roll that you put into this sucker. My favorite was when the light turned off when you said "off". I appreciate the little things. 🤘🏼
SUPER HELPFUL!!! Thanks SO MUCH for providing KEY info with such clarity & warmth🙏
An absolutely incredible video Nolan! Learned more about lighting in less than 5 minutestgan I have in my entire life! Excellent short, to the point, information, and entertaining video! 😊❤👍

This is helpful thanks
Thank so much Think Media finally my KZhead videos will never be the same again✅✅✅😍😍😍😍😍😍 Love from @Nabling You are the best keep it up. We subscribed because of your videos they are Legit
Great guide.
I have a daylight bulb in the ceiling light fan. It's off to the right of me. The wall are a nice tan look. When I tried a 60 watt bulb, it made everything look dark even though I'm visible. I do have a ring light with three temp settings but can't put it behinnd the monitor and webcam. I don't think the picture looks too bad. However, I wouldn't mind improving things. Love to get more input on that setup.
I wish everyone success on their KZhead channel!
Amen Brother Amen
Great tips
Very helpful!
My lamp was 10 bucks at target. Works well. Don’t over complicate it, fam! Go crush it 👍
Which lamp did you buy?
@@healingjourneys4241 It's a white light, desk lamp that I put in front of me and point it upwards approximately 80 degrees (almost upright), just so that it doesn't directly go into my eyes. I use that in combination with brightness adjustment in my video editor. (I don't know the model. Just one of those desk lamps with an adjustable neck/stem)
Thank you!
Oops...It's too late. I already sent success your way. Its coming. And there's no way to stop it! You are creative. You are brilliant. You are worthy of success. May your worries wash away & all your KZhead dreams come true! 💗Dr. Liz

Nice setup

Pro tip: you don't need softbox if you have nearby pure white wall or door: just point the light towards the white surface and use the bounced light only.
Think Media always saving new creature money. Love you my friends.
Thanks for this! I just moved my studio to another room and I've been going crazy trying to place the lights.
You've got this!!
Hey Nolan, I'm about to invest a lot more on my lightning, however I had to research what the lighting terminology means.... key light, hair light, etc. Could you do a video explaining all of this and go through the list? Cheers and keep up the great work!
Awsome!!!!
hey wow this is awesome i like that
Great video
This video changes everything for me!! Moving the light closer to me makes the light a larger light source!! Brilliant!! Thanks so much! I have the light you use in your video! I also have the Neewer LED Video Light. Can you recommend a light box that I can purchase for that light? I would love to use it with a soft box! Thanks so much for all of the info and links you offer here! I’ve bought many items via your links!
I've been using this one for 4 years amzn.to/2W5zRqI They also have other like it that are circular!
@@nolanmolt Thanks so much!
good video!
A great video
Such helpful tips for a small space/limited set up! Is there a way to soften a ring light if that’s the light you choose?
Thank u
Good to be here
Think Media is the Best KZhead channel
I am a big fan of think Media and it is very useful for me
Fantastic tip. Good to know I just need the $50 light.
Thanks, yup!
YOU ARE..... a life savior!
Thank you!!
Should I get this light or the GVM 80W for a small room? Is there a big improvement in video qualitativ when I get the GVM or is it just more useful in more Situations?
I love this because I only use one light as well, same exact way.
Awesome, glad it helped!
Question please, what is the recommended bulb Watt , I mean it is fine to use 20 W or 40 W or 135 W as my main and only source of light.
The mountdog softbot light is now £104 in the uk, and I've seen it does not come with a uk plug. Is there an alternative? Good video, though!😁
Do you have the link to the microphone you mentioned! I can’t find it!
Great Video @nolan and @ThinkMedia. Unfortunately the link for the light is not opening. It would be great if you can provide the how much Watt light you have used inside the softbox it will guide us to have one.
Do you guys have videos or tips for lighting more craft type channels where lighting the work in progress or the finished item might trump facial shadows or hair highlights?
Really awesome and really helped this video, amazing content and sweet and short,It was nice to be told exactly what to say, blaw blaw blaw blaw blaw is also no is this video 👍❤😂
Hi Nolan, Thanks for the video but when I tried to buy the light, it's not available to ship to my area (Dubai, UAE). It would be super helpful if you gave an alternative in your description.
You Didn't Need a Key Light,a Fill Light and a Backlight. You Really only Need one Light...Ha ha epic Sentence ❤️
Actually, as a film DP, I prefer the natural look. If has more detail. With the shadows and highlights on your face and background. When lit, it looked flat and dull withno texture. It all depends on the look one is going for. Either way is fine... is what I'm trying to say. Just depends on what look the dp or director is going for. Enjoyed the video though. Keep up the good work. 👍🏾 🙂
For sure, depends on the look you're going for!! Thanks for checking it out bro!
Hey l am from India so l check the softbox link it's good but l already have a softbox and a 50 w bulb any suggestion to reduce the brightness of the bulb?
Thanks for this but the Amazon link that you provide shows that the item is not available
Excellent tip. I am not sure this soft light will work for me while wearing the glasses.
Check out this video for lighting with glasses... kzhead.info/sun/hdiYYLRpqqmrgKs/bejne.html
Great info. How would you set up lighting for a GoPro 9 in a studio setting.
Same idea, but add alot more light. Go Pro needs more light because it can get noisy in low light situations!
Thank you Nolan. Is this type of quality achievable if I'm recording on my iPhone?
For sure!
Fill light? Key light? It would be helpful to explain these various types of lights and where they're placed.
Hi Nolan, which camera are you using in this? Great video btw, I think I need to upgrade from my rickety ring light :)
Hey Tiffany, I am using a Sony A7Siii With a 20mm f1.8 lens!
@@nolanmolt It looks great! Thanks Nolan
Hi! Tell me this. How come that 2 different cameras gives 2 different exposure with exact the same settings??, my face was 2-3 stop overexposed by the Canon G16 powershot and the Nikon d800 full frame it was perfect exposed. Does sensor size matter when you measure light? I used only 1 softbox, it had a bulb inside and this was my only light in the room my keylight and both cameras was set on Manual mode.
can you please make a video for a good camera on budget?
Norm, great video! I’m always having issues with glare in my glasses. Straight on lighting doesn’t work and it seems the 45 degree angle creates too much shadow. Do you have any videos that tackle this issue?
Check out this video for lighting with glasses... kzhead.info/sun/hdiYYLRpqqmrgKs/bejne.html
@@ThinkMediaTV thanks for the response! I just realized I called you Norm! So sorry, can’t believe I did that.
@@shallowwaterguy4755 No worries! haha
what is the shotgun mic that you are using on the light stand in the studio. i need a new one buddy and trust your judgements
Im using the new Sennheiser MKE 400 mic. Making a video on it now!
Can you make a video pairing this with simple mobile phone? No logs format just raw video .mp4 let's see how far can it go. After all there are alot of people in the midrange department.
hey pls do a video on full tutorial video of Filmora as like you did for iMovie plsssss
Great because I actually have this light and haven’t used it yet.
Awesome! You'll love it!!
@@ThinkMediaTV Thanks 🙏🏽
Would it make a difference if you go for a 30 degree angle? I have tried 45 and about 30 and I tend to like 30 degrees. I use an aputure light but any soft light would work.
You can play with the angle. However, the 45-degree angle produces a Rembrant type lighting loop on your cheek, which is flattering.
I have it very close to the camera so it's more like a 30 degree angle!
One light is definately a good idea.

Can you please make a video how to make a lighting when you film drink vidéo ple
Will this light help in making cooking videos. A reply will be greatly appreciated. Thank you 🙏🏾
The fan of my softbox (light) creates an unpleasant noise in the background of my videos. Any idea what I can do about it? Thanks in advance.
Bummer, I'd look at getting a light wiith no fan or a quiter fan?
Wow after I spent money on 3 lights now we gonna talk about 1 💡, just kidding 😂 i love it to be honest find it more helpful, giving more ideas 💡 still one of my source for youtube set 🆙 THINK MEDIA 🥳🥳🥳🥳🥳🥳🥳🥳
Can you turn this light screen horizontal or vertical?
Yes!
@@nolanmolt Thank you Nolan!
Is it better to have 2 lights? You can usually order a pair for about an extra half the price of one with these cheaper ones
Sure. You can use the additional light as fill, or behind and off to the side as an edge/hair light to separate yourself from the background.
One thing these videos dont mention is how to deal with blown highlights from having these studio lights closer to us...
What about if I have two of those lights? I’m make videos unboxing comic books
Nice video but the $50 light is $150 in the UK!
How to use this one-light system if you wear glasses?
