During Sarges death, when he asks "Are you an angel?" and Church replies with "Yeah, someone rang a bell" that is a reference to A wonderful life where they said "Every time a bell rings an angel gets its wings"
yeah, i got that reference. i hated "A wonderful Life." It sucked Sangheili dick in my opinion.
Sarge then asked church why he had no wings.
The lines were more like this; Sarge: “Are you some kind of angel?” Church: “Am I an angel? Um, yes, I’m an angel.” *[Some time later]* Sarge: “Hold on. If you’re an angel, how come you ain’t got no wings?” Church: “Because nobody rang a bell. Heh.”
WAIT A MINUTE SARGE BEING PUT IN ARMOR LOCK MAKES A LOT OF SENSE, IF CHURCH WAS POSSESSING HIM SARGE WOULD'VE BEEN REGISTERED AS CARRYING THE ALPHA UNIT SO HE WOULD HAVE BEEN PUT IN ARMOR LOCK FOR THE RECOVERY OF AN AI. This wasn't a thing at the time but this would make the most sense, and the reason no recovery agents were present to recover it was likely because they wouldn't put a recovery beacon with the Alpha since they wanted it to be hidden.
I know this is a 5 year old comment but since I just rewatched almost all of RvB I'll say that this both works and doesn't. When Wash gets shot by the Meta before he could activate the EMP the computer starts flashing and beeping with his name. Even though he used to have an AI he swore them off and stored them for transfer instead of using em. He's also wearing a new suit so I doubt his suit would react to the Alpha especially.

The church body stinking thing is incorrect as well... *MAJOR SPOILERS* The alpha AI was originally implanted in a guy named Private Jimmy. Private Jimmy was who we saw in the first season, the Alpha AI was just had control over private Jimmy's body. Sheila shot and killed Private Jimmy while church was possessing him causing the alpha AI to eject from Jimmy's body. So yes, the body was real, and was actually decomposing, and probably did stink.

He didn't even get it from RvB, it was just a crazy coincidence he has a story about headlight fluid. I'm not even being contrarian, they keep trying to dispel it on the podcast.

In one of the alternate endings to episode 100 they write on screen what happened to everyone after the blood gulch chronicles. It says that Tucker went AWOL and was last spotted on a ship on its way to the alien homeworld, his next appearance after the blood gulch chronicles was in an alien temple thingy (can't remember the specifics) I don't remember if it was the aliens home world but it's still a kind of accurate.
He did say him N junior were ambassadors for a while before going to the temple
You forgot how Donut had red armor when he first arrived to Blood Gulch so he was able to pick up the flag because you can only be solid red or solid blue in capture the flag, and all the shots that included the flag were all shot separately
There were some Star Wars references in season 1 as confirmed in the audio commentary. (Only one I remember is Tex saying "You're a little short to be Church" when Church enters Red base in Sarge's body, a reference to Leia's quote "Aren't you a little short to be a Stormtrooper?" when Luke enters her cell.)

Not sure if you noticed this but in season 3 episode 49, when they are trying to fix church's message when caboose is talking you can see an extra grif in front of the entrance to the base carrying a plasma pistol
Someday down the line you should release an updated version of this video. Not only the headlight fluid bit, but also Church's body. It's confirmed in S14E4 "Why They're Here" that Church did, in fact, inhabit a human body at the beginning of the BGC. That formerly of Private Jimmy.

I think my favorite reference/callback/brick joke was Tucker making good on that "Whoop-dee-fucking-doo" line from all the way back in season 1. That callback came out of nowhere, but made perfect sense in context.

Yeah, But that is what is known as a "Retcon". Where they realized the A.I. Revelation made a few plot-holes, so they corrected it by changing details of the past. So when the statement he quoted was made, Church was considered to be in a robot body, but After the episode of S14 you are referring to was released, Your statement became the new canon. Also it's "Private Jimmy" not "little Johnny" FYI.

Actually, it is now confirmed that church wasn't inside of a robotic body for the first season, but he possessed a fellow blue soldiers body.

i still want RT to explain how that happened. He's just a mental image of Kaikaina Grif and so shouldn't exist out in the real world... especially with a physical body. Also, how would he suddenly teleport to Sidewinder w/o Gamma/Gary helping him with the time machine armor equipment? Gamma had been defeated and imprisoned by Sheila/F.I.L.S.S by that point.

There's a Star Wars reference in episode "Local Host", although I'm not sure if that counts as "blood gulch chronicles". Simmons "NO! No, this one goes here, THAT one goes there..." an exact quote of Han Solo from Empire Strikes Back when they are working on the Millinium Falcon in the ice hangar.
4:01-4:05- Yeah, me and one of my older brothers knew about that when we first watched this episode and I had some knowledge of spanish about the dialog afterwards. 6:21- I played Halo 2's assault mode after watching this Episode, so I already know why Tex really couldn't carry the bomb.

3:15 fun fact originally Church was merged into Private jimmy and altered his memories with his, this was revealed in season 14
3:28 actually this has been changed and I'm sure you've already been informed this or have seen the episode or whatever but in an early episode of the latest season the prequel to The Blood Gulch Chronicles reveals that that was an actual body and it was decomposing. Church's body in these early episodes was actually private Jimmy which you were calls as a separate person because of the forced implantation that Jimmy went through.
update for ya about church not having a live body to actually rot...in season 14 they show that ALPHA was forceable implanted into Church's friend private Jimmy. It plays on how church said he was beat to death by his own skull. so technically, church DID have a human body in season 1 and it WOULD have stunk as it rotted.

It's shown in season 14 that church was inserted into Jimmy from sidewinder. That's probably why he has memories of being stationed at sidewinder in the first place.
The last Easter egg could also be expanded on because the yellow church in cabooses' head was the same church from when church was looping through time

I like the theory about church's body and I know when the individual made this they most likely were not aware but the most recent episode of RVB season 14, it is seen that Alpha [|Church|] was actually implanted into the body of Private Jimmy. This means that Church was, in fact, in an actual body.

@EruptionFang. The part about Church possessing his own dead body has been debunked now. In Season 14, Agent Florida had Church's 'Friend' Jimmy implanted with the Alpha AI and that made the AI take over the mind as host.
