You passed some legends like Jacques Plante, Felix Potvin and John Ross Roach to achieve your well deserved fame and entry into the history books. You also tied a modern day legend in Carey Price as the only 2 goalies in history to begin a season 10-0-0. That is amazing sir!!!

I don't see how the Leafs go back with Anderson once he is healthy. Campbell is definitely their starter from now on. He was pretty solid in net.

I don't think they can, at least in the number one spot. Perhaps in the 2nd or shared spot, reason being= 1) he can be really good [barring the blip when he came back, he has been reasonably good, especially considering the Leafs weren't that great defensively most seasons, and he played more games then most goalies in the NHL for the years he has been with the Leafs.] 2) He is an experienced goalie, which is good for a younger goalie like Campbell to have and 3) Most importantly, I really don't want to put Campbell through what the Leafs did to Anderson. Referring to my 1st point, we have been doing better defensively this year, and the team seems to rally behind Campbell, however the Leafs also tend to overplay there main, I think in part because they have not trusted there back-up, and a 100% Anderson maybe that trusted back up they need [though I will give Michael Hutchinson some credit this year, having a 4-2-1 and a .919% record isn't to shabby.]

Don't get me wrong, Freddy's a good goalie and did a lot for the leafs the past 4 years. But he let's the worst goals in at the worst time. E.g. Boston both game 7s, Columbus game 1 and the 2nd goal in game 5. It's unacceptable for his inconsistencies in the regular season and playoffs, he has to move on and let Campbell be the real deal bc he is...on and off the ice an amazing guy

I'd say let him be the backup goalie for Campbell, if his contract wasn't so huge. He's getting $5 mil a year, Hutch is getting $700k.. letting Freddy go would free up a lot of cap space if we want to grab another forward or Dman before the trade deadline. That being said, if Campbell's right knee gives him more trouble this season - we'd be fully screwed for the playoffs with Hutch as our #1 goaltender.

Agreed. Freddie was great at the start of his time here, giving us the best goaltending since Belfour. But times have changed, and he's regressing. His contract doesn't help either. It's probably best to move on from him after this season.

I am an ovie fan deluxe since the start, but he can’t fly like Matthews any longer. The american is getting faster and stronger, entering his prime while the russian often looks like an older guy in one of those reunion games Five years post retirement. He may be saving himself for the heavy workload of the playoffs. Not sure, but it looks like this wil be his first 20-something goals season ending 30+ 15 years in a row. Will need 11 in 18 for 30. Can’t rule him out, but he looks slow lately. Will need a lot of up close dirty goals for it to happen. Matthews is amazing these days.

Habs really should have done more with those scoring opportunities. Not nearly as many defensive breakdowns as previous games, and Corey Perry continues to score and impress. Great game by Allen too. Tough break but a great game.

Leafs fans have had nothing to cheer for going back 15 years 2 seasons they got dragged into the playoffs and 2 where they had to go to war with the bruins and that's it. We are well aware of what we face in the playoffs. It's been over half a century since we had a team anything like this. You would be loving every minute of it too. The entire hockey world loves to take the boots to a franchise who's down. Leafs fans are entitled to this one. the Leafs know they can beat any of these scrub teams in the North. They literally have to play hard for 5 minutes in the third and they'll win. What I'm worried about is making that a habit, because that won't work in the playoffs.

This really pisses me off that people say Toronto is Canada’s team. They’re not they suck ass, and only 13 Stanley cups while Montreal has 24 no one can beat 24 we all know Montreal’s is Canada team they’ve been in the hockey industry for over 110 years. People are getting cocky that the leafs are first in the north division but wait till the playoffs you’ll regret everything. Montreal is Canada team.

Having more cups doesn't make one Canada's team. It's the nationwide support that the Leafs get which makes them Canada's team. From BC to Newfoundland, they have a legion of fans...there are more Leafs fans outside of Toronto than within in. No other NHL team even comes to close to TV ratings and sold merchandise. Stay mad, Canada's team don't care about little small market teams like the Scabs. LMFAO.

I don't see how the Leafs go back with Anderson once he is healthy. Campbell is definitely their starter from now on. He was pretty solid in net.
I don't think they can, at least in the number one spot. Perhaps in the 2nd or shared spot, reason being= 1) he can be really good [barring the blip when he came back, he has been reasonably good, especially considering the Leafs weren't that great defensively most seasons, and he played more games then most goalies in the NHL for the years he has been with the Leafs.] 2) He is an experienced goalie, which is good for a younger goalie like Campbell to have and 3) Most importantly, I really don't want to put Campbell through what the Leafs did to Anderson. Referring to my 1st point, we have been doing better defensively this year, and the team seems to rally behind Campbell, however the Leafs also tend to overplay there main, I think in part because they have not trusted there back-up, and a 100% Anderson maybe that trusted back up they need [though I will give Michael Hutchinson some credit this year, having a 4-2-1 and a .919% record isn't to shabby.]

I really wanted the Habs to win but good game Toronto. Matthews and Campbell are really making a huge difference for them.

Idk about everyone else, I ordered myself a campbell jersey the second the game ended. Amazing seeing such a great guy get such a great record on a storied franchise. So happy for jack.
Don't get me wrong, Freddy's a good goalie and did a lot for the leafs the past 4 years. But he let's the worst goals in at the worst time. E.g. Boston both game 7s, Columbus game 1 and the 2nd goal in game 5. It's unacceptable for his inconsistencies in the regular season and playoffs, he has to move on and let Campbell be the real deal bc he is...on and off the ice an amazing guy
I'd say let him be the backup goalie for Campbell, if his contract wasn't so huge. He's getting $5 mil a year, Hutch is getting $700k.. letting Freddy go would free up a lot of cap space if we want to grab another forward or Dman before the trade deadline. That being said, if Campbell's right knee gives him more trouble this season - we'd be fully screwed for the playoffs with Hutch as our #1 goaltender.

Agreed. Freddie was great at the start of his time here, giving us the best goaltending since Belfour. But times have changed, and he's regressing. His contract doesn't help either. It's probably best to move on from him after this season.

I am an ovie fan deluxe since the start, but he can’t fly like Matthews any longer. The american is getting faster and stronger, entering his prime while the russian often looks like an older guy in one of those reunion games Five years post retirement. He may be saving himself for the heavy workload of the playoffs. Not sure, but it looks like this wil be his first 20-something goals season ending 30+ 15 years in a row. Will need 11 in 18 for 30.
