This is probably the best “realistic” mod I’ve seen. Gives me nostalgia especially because of the amazing Spider-Man movies.

@@SilkyMilkyOriginal nobody is discussing that here. In the video it’s Andrew Garfield’s suit and he’s swinging with his swagger from TASM movies. And sorry, Sam Raimi movies are outdated. Still fun to watch. TASM1 is better than Tobey’s whole trilogy. Andrew Garfield is the best Spider Man and No Way Home proved that.
Didn't they just lower the Saturation added a backpack and called it a day and Andrews first spiderman movie wasn't all that good and the second one was good half way into the movie, but it's just my own thoughts on it
Nobody gonna talk about how immaculate the sound design is? The way cars beep and sound when Spider-Man swings by at high speeds, it's amazing (pun intended)
Just hearing the leaves as you swing through the trees is a great detail itself!

compared to other visual mods, this is absolutely stunning, it fits the game, isn't high contrast and oversaturated, and looks amazing.
it needs more contrast and saturation, it looks depressing and grey, nothing like real life at all

I just came back from living in New York for a few years and I can’t really explain how therapeutic videos like this are. I’m happy I’m back home and the chapter is over, but I do miss my friends from back there. I had an amazing experience. Swinging by all the locations where I would talked to my friends reminds me of how Peter Parker-esque my experience really was. There was plenty of drama, plenty of running late, plenty of girl problems, and plenty of helping out the good people of New York when I could. I think the best way to describe New York is "intense." Everything is more intense there. And I think when you realize that can be a great thing, that’s when you can make life amazing. Characters like Peter Parker are so valuable for people who want to reflect on their life like this. Seeing him strap on a backpack and rush through the city is so oddly relatable. It feels like I really did experience the same exact feelings he constantly has to deal with. Spider-Man is so awesome.
That was a pleasant read.

Years ago in my teenage, this is what I used to dream how TASM 1 would be and how would I swing through the city before I even knew what TASM looked like. But when I played the actual game, I was utterly disappointed. I felt like what I wanted would never be true. I lost interest. A lot of things happened. I lost majority of my family. Got whole new responsibilities. Went through a lot of health related issues. For years and years. Now I'm better. Got out of it. Getting out of it. I lost interest in video games. I dont like playing games anymore. But seeing this, reminded me of my old times. I'm glad people are able to enjoy what I once wished.
Too much responsibilities with almost no support can change our personality and indeed we change. Good to know your are overcoming. Regards, Passions and Prayers.

I really like that eveything close to you is sharp and everything far away is a little more blurry. It's probably less practical from a gameplay perspective because you want to know where you are swinging to, but it makes it looks so realistic because that's what New York would look like if you shot it with a cinema lens!
I think it would actually be cool if they did only story markers and player set markers on screen instead of having the mini map and cutting down on the UI while you're swinging in the city it makes it very immersive. Maybe have the UI fade out while you swing
You can do all of that in the base version of the game already

Only been to New York once, but this definitely captures that chilly autumn vibe i got back then. Magical.
By far the best modding I’ve seen for a game ever. It was like I was watching a movie where I can feel and see what sm is seeing. Good job and someone needs to hire you. This is stunning!

Even the dirt on the roofs are enough for it to be realistic the building with different paint jobs too but some texture anywhere can add so much atmosphere
Awesome vid!! When I saw the suit, I was hoping to hear that iconic Amazing Spider-Man score from the Garfield films. I haven’t seen anyone do one to it yet. One of the more underrated superhero scores imo.
I love the traversal improvements, hopefully it’s more like this in the new game as it won’t be held back by the ps4s hardware limitations

It would (and hopefully will), but I HIGHLY doubt Insomniac would make the city look like this. If they added filters for us to change the look of the city and its tone (like in the video), then that'd be awesome! The ability to pick between wearing a backpack or not, would be a nice touch, too.

I think the only thing that really needs touching up is the audio. The ambience coming from the vehicles and people below comes in and out, even when Spiderman's at street level for a while, while he's swinging. It needs more consistency. I understand that it can be the wind passing through the character and us that is blocking the sound, but I feel like there should be a balance. When Peter is a street level while swinging, the ambience of the vehicles & people should become clearer, while still hearing low volume wind.
loved that you used tasm 2 suit bcs imo it looks the best on screen. even in the movies its the best one in the vfx department, it looks great!

It would be cool to have a mod where when you swing close to the ground, people won’t fall over but instead just look past in shock. I hated when I swung close to the ground to get a picture of Spider-Man but it’s ruined by some guy falling over in the background.

It's interesting, isn't it? This is probably one of the best mods I've seen. And yet you can still very clearly tell that it's not real. Will we ever bridge that gap? I think maybe everything is a little too shiny here, that maybe why.

In real life, everything is gloomy, gray, and dull. But when we enter the gaming world its saturated with color and bright. Funny. Almost like we escape reality just to see vibrant color to feed what we really want.
