Named only "Scenic Reserve" on google maps, this is an informal park at the top of Fairway Drive, where the roundabout is. It only has with barefoot trails running through it, but being close to the street means there is the potential for rusty nails, rubbish and dog poop. Watch your feet!
However, very few hazards were seen during this visit, so seems pretty safe.
The first part of of the park is very flat, with no understory, great for games in the shade. The park then has a steep slope with lots of volcanic rocks and ends backing on to private houses, with no obvious track out.

Great little walk with lots of old trees. Cheers
i love walking barefeet. i feel free and happier
My worst experience walking barefoot in urban woodland was stepping on a piece of barbed wire. Ouch! But I’m better at knowing where it’s likely to be be safer these days. Broken glass is an issue around here too. I used to collect buckets full of it so I could walk through the stream hear our old house…
Thanks Hannah, lovely to be able to 'walk' with you. I would be interested in knowing which walks are wheelchair friendly even if only in part. Love it! L
❤👣🥰😋🔥
Lived here for years never knew about this track. How did that mud feel ?
Hi Very good. Did you see lots of fungi? Interesting an urban reserve. Did you do the whole reserve? I don't like standing in dog poop at all. Difficult to get rid of as well. Moss is very interesting. Isn't this caused by moisture in wood or leaves? Thank you. Tristan
I often wonder why people wear shoes and socks to where they're going hiking barefoot. Why don't you leave them in the car? My wife has a pair sandals stashed under the front seat front seat of my truck in case she needs to go in store where they give you a hard time. I go barefoot a lot, but I often do jobs like running chain saws so I wear boots.
I wonder why people wear shoes at all, we are literally the only species on earth that crams their feet into some artificial cast to "protect our feet" or "for fashion".
Strange,ain't it?
😍😍😍😍😍😍😍
How did the mud feel?😊
Are you a full time barefooter?
Yummy toes. 😅
