  • Thanks for the info Its pretty accurate, But the bus drivers aren't a bit rude they are very rude, they smoke inside the bus with passengers still getting down, they put loud music, they behave normally with locals or Greek people and are very rude toward tourists. Maybe as a guide, you should include this info in your content because It could be really helpful so people don't get surprised when they interact with them. I'm quite confident about what I am saying because last week I took several different buses at different times.

  • Just returned from Greece and we used the bus in Santorini A LOT! It saved us renting a car which sounded like a pain in the butt regarding parking. We were staying in Kamari and took the bus daily to both Oia and Fira. It wasn’t as chaotic as I expected - somehow the chaos works there lol. Highly recommend travelling by bus in Santorini - lots of buses going around and it’s dirt cheap.

  • Thank you soo much for your video. Now, after two days of driving bus in Santorini you saved us a LOT of trouble! One thing to note, tough: In our experience the ticket seller will only call out the bus stop if they are in the mood to do so. Even if you told them where you want to get out.. So our way to go was always to check google maps in parallel and proactively stand up, so that they don't forget to let us out ^^

  • Was in Santorini first week of June. Took one bus from Fira to Oia and that was it. Chaotic, hot, pushy, crowded and uncomfortable is just a few words to describe it. Once and never again. I resorted to expensive taxis because my happiness was worth the cost. Cruise ships are RUINING Santorini. Only place to stay in my opinion, based on the CROWDS is Imerovigli, where it is lovely and uncrowded. Best views on entire island also.

  • Great and extremely useful video - as all the rest on the channel. :) The description of central bus station is perfect, if I hadn`t seen this video prior to the journey it would be really confusing on the spot, however this video prepared us well for what to expect and following advice from here really helped. Also within the buses, we were always making sure to clearly express to ticket seller to which station we are going and then when time came and seller would announce the station we would also be prepared to exit the bus in time. Ticket sellers were also always loud and clear enough with announcing the directions when picking up passengers on stops and announcing stops when dropping off. Have to say that taking the buses was quite nice and felt like panoramic tour each time because of the scenery - nd we went to different destinations each day - Kamari, Perissa, Akrotiri, Pyrgos, Santo winery, Oia... so really reccomend this type of transportation in Santorini considering the prices, buses were generally on time and rides were comfy.

Some info around KZhead and Insta can be so misleading, so this was much much needed! I have a request: a video about visiting santorini in the off season. Specifically early March. I am planning to go and i have been told by some restaurants that they are still closed, opening in april. So i am worried about what i can do in my 3 day trip in March, how cold / rainy would it be, how cold is the water, the spring waters, etc. are there any soecial holidays, festivals, events? Please help!!!

    • March is NOT a great month if you wanna DO many things, since the majority of the island (and tours) will still be shut down. BUT if your focus is to visit the villages without any tourists, then yes, anywhere from late November to late March is perfect. Weather in March : 14 degrees, mostly sunny but you should count on some rainy days. Water temperature is at its lowest, around 16 degrees, definitely not the best for swimming.

  • Hi, first of all, your videos are life saver. ❤️ Wanted to know if buses take limited passengers only in case of a rush. For example after sunset in Oia, if there's a huge rush for the bus to Fira, will the bus accommodate everyone? What's the best way to enjoy Sunset in Oia and not miss the bus to get back to hotel.

    @urbanbaul@urbanbaul Жыл бұрын
    • Yes, buses will accomodate everyone, even if this means that the bus is 120% packed :D And the best way to enjoy a sunset in Oia ..... is not to go to Oia ... If you're following me on instagram, you might ve seen yesterday's story where I show how packed Oia is. It's NOT fun. Try to visit Oia in the morning, not at sunset...

  • Hi Sebastien! I will be visiting Santorini in October, thanks for your informative videos! I have three questions about buses please: (1) How do I load my luggage if I am boarding the bus from a stop along the route (eg. Pyrgos)? After flagging down the bus, can I just open the storage compartment and load my luggage in while the driver waits, or should I wait for the driver or ticket conductor to come down to help me open/unlock the storage compartment (similarly when getting off the bus with luggage in the compartment)? (2) If I have a (pretty big) foldable stroller, do I have to load it into the storage compartment too, or will the driver allow me to bring it onto the bus if it's not too crowded? (3) You mentioned in another video that half the Fira-Perissa buses do not normally stop at Pyrgos, and the bus schedule (even the one at the Pyrgos stop) may not differentiate these. If I am planning to take the bus from Pyrgos to Perissa (especially after sunset around 7+pm), is there a way to plan in advance which bus to try to catch (eg. would the kiosk at the Fira bus terminal have a tentative schedule for the day), or do I have to wait at the Pyrgos bus stop at roughly all the scheduled timings (eg. 7.20pm, 8.20pm etc) and hope the bus to Perissa stops by? Thanks!

    @ongkahkien8596@ongkahkien8596 Жыл бұрын
    • Hey ! 1. As you're flagging down the bus, point at your suitcases, the driver will then open the luggage compartment himself. Do not try to open it yourself. 2. The foldable stroller will probably be required to go in the luggage compartment at all times. 3. The EXPRESS Perissa bus is the one which is not stopping in Pyrgos. The NORMAL Perissa bus does stop. You can find all timetables here : www.ktel-santorini.gr/images/pdfs/ktel.pdf The "E" means "Express". So all the ones without an "E" will stop at Pyrgos ;-)
