Just bought three of these on clearance at Home Depot for $20 each!!!... This video will come in handy. Thanks Bro!
Damnnn! Pissed i missed that clearance 😢
I'd say I'm fairly capable with home repairs and have a decent amount of tools. So many videos overcomplicated this process, and your video was not only the most clear, but also explained everything in a simple, manageable way. Thank you!!
this helped a lot! Thank you!
Incredibly concise and helpful video! Watched it twice before attempting and it made the instructions so much easier to follow
This helped me out a lot on my install thanks!
do you think the stationary glass on the top can be switched to the bottom?
Thank you. This cleared up the questions I wondered about. 👍
Helped me and my husband a lot .. thanks definitely not in 30 minutes but we got it installed
Awesome! Thank you.
Thank you, Frank. 👍
Thanks Holmes!
8 minute mark. AT what point do you seal that huge gap at the bottom?
You'd have to get a new threshold kit. Probably wouldn't hurt to pour a little bit of slab unless you don't mind your threshold hanging over your foundation by 6 inches
Thanks for the info
Nice. Thank you!
did you extend the door threshold to reduce tha gap at the bottom of the door.
Thanks bro!!!
Great information thanks 🙏 you
What size bit did you use for holes on storm door??
5/16
Did u have to drill new holes on the hinge? It looked like it in the vid. The second hinge in from top? Maybe bottom?
Yes for each of the 4 hinges, you have to drill a total of 8 holes for the screws where it attaches to the door frame.
What drill bit size did you use for those screws at the start?
1/8th It comes with a drill bit but it's a shitty one.
@@somewhat-32W3Rlol we found that out when it snapped while drilling the third hole 😂
How do you take the screen off
Frank what do you do for the gap at the bottom?
Yes, we noticed that the house foundation ends at that point. In order to close that gap, the best way would be to add a little concrete extension. Customer decided to leave that way for now.
Ok thank you Maybe a job for another day Keep up the good work and the videos
I used the door sweep that came with it.
That handle gave me the flux for some reason. The button on the outside is tough to push in once you tighten everything up. I did make the mistake of not using the paper guide to make the holes. So now I need to get some sheet metal or something to cover my error. Lol
How much do you charge for installing? Thanks
My Emco 100 storm door came with the glass window and screen unattached. The window is very loose in the door frame and the screen won't stay on, doesn't fit and doesn't come with anything to attach it to the door. Any ideas? Thank You
So basically, you have to have the screen in 50/50 to were it’ll stay temporarily and then just put in the glass and the glass will keep it in place.
Also the loose window up top you have to have someone hold all the way up to get the screen in
From what I can tell you failed to adjust the bottom sweep
I am not an installer of doors; but I think the door spring footer was installed wrong; it needs to angle away from the direction in which the door closes. because the shape is a triangle and it creates moment; which is kind like torque. Think of it this way when someone pushed you; you angle yourself to create resistance so that you don't tip over right?
Hi Iancu, yes we actually thought the same thing. When we double checked that detail including in the instructions, we found that it was installed properly.
😢😢😢 i need help putting this tog. So many srews
This door is the single most aggravating storm door I’ve ever seen. I came close to just hiring some guy from Craigslist or something to do it. Piece of junk.
No man like if you see man like look man just mark man and try it out man. Like look man how the breeze came in man man. All in cheech marin voice
Man this is terrible
why
@@robertoinvests really???
I agree.
@@Hikingbandit19 How ? All storm doors in the series 400 or 500 go on the same lol I mean it's idiot proof there's no other way to do it lmfao tell me you don't know anything about Reno without telling me
Completely agree!!! If someone replied why then u are either related to this idiot or don’t know anything about contractor work. He’s a jack wagon because he has no clue what anything is called or what the process is. His terminology is like a 1st grader talking about calculus
This is the worst video of how to ever
