I love the colors of your spin. Beautiful
Thanks! Super pleased by that one too!
As a celestial girlie, I would love if Can Bee Crafty added a celestial design (like sparkle stars, crescent moon, starburst sun, little dots etc) for the items where you can select a style! I really like Ruby Dixon's various Corsairs series. Same big blue aliens, but space pirates, and a little less pregnancy/breeding focused. I really love how basically every named character in her books will get their own book at some point.
That's a great idea! I'll send it over to Carrie also yes it's so lovely to just really get to spend time with all of her characters! I will look into the Corsairs series after I plow through Icehome this spring hehe
I am using a pas de deux for holding suri and fingering so that don't get so tangled and I LOVE!!! I am so glad you two connected.
Yay!!! I’m so happy you love yours!!
A spinning note, a traditional 3ply evens out your spun singles but a chain ply accentuates your inconsistency. When I sweater spin I tend to do 3 ply traditional because I can worry less about any inconsistency.🐑
Ok this makes 100% sense! That Probably why I'm so pleased with the results of these last two. I get that people chain ply for color blocking and that makes sense but I'm a big fan of how this yarn looks and feels!
Your handspun looks so good! I’m so excited for the day I’m ready to do a sweater spin. Just ordered a set of those reminders, I always forget what increase I have to do where, they’ll be perfect! Also love to support a small business ❤
Yay that’s great! Aren’t they so smart!? I don’t actually feel ready for a sweater spin but I think I need to just try!
Yay for the Pressed Flowers pullover!! An FYI: the upper arms are very large on mine. This isn’t necessarily a bad thing, just way larger than any other pullover I’ve ever made 🌸
Good to know! I can’t wait to make it!
I have knit a good number of summer tanks last year (was my first summer knitting). Some are really nice, some are a bit of a flop. This summer I want to figure out my "perfect every day" tank. That fits perfect to my taste and is not too precious/delicate to walk the dog in. I think I have learned enough to modify/combine the patterns I own but I am pretty excited for the Tolsta tank pattern to come out as I have seen a couple great versions and the options are endless. I like the look of Emily's Slanty Stripes (without stripes) but I have narrow shoulders so would have to modify the strap width a little. However it hasn't been too warm here in Vancouver and I am holding on to my beloved wooly wools as long as I can lol.
Haha I get that! Join us over on discord anyway even if you're not ready to cast on for a summer top! I completely agree that the tolsta tank looks super promising as a blank canvas and I'll definitely be snagging that when it comes out!
