Let’s make a PVC Flute! Grab your pipe, drill and some sandpaper. I'm using common tools and things you can get from Lowes Home Improvement Store.

Perhaps use the CPVC that's for drinking water because of contaminates in pvc There is also a small pipe cutter that's like a C-Clamp and has 2 cutter wheels you adjust in as you turn. You just spin it around the pipe a few turns. They're only a few dollars at Lowes. Young lady you sure are talented. I can't believe how well you can play a piece of pipe 😮 I'll have to try these for my great niece and nephew.
The most professional video I ever seen.
thank you so much!
A lovely sounding flute! I'm going to make one myself. Thank you so much🎶💛
Thank you i'm gonna try to create This one myself
I made a PVC flute in D minor several years ago. I used a PVC pipe cap instead of a stopper. I had to figure out all the math myself, but it worked out well. The only mistake I made was not to offset the "G" finger hole a bit to the far side so it would be easier to cover.
PVC is great for trying out different tunings. I’m actually pretty happy with the tone quality of the material, too.
Yes! I was quite impressed with how well it sounded when I was done!
Fantastic. Thank you 🤩
Inovative work!
Lovely video and playing! Cheers
very cool i will have to try this
Nice!
Wowwwwwwwww! I really want to make a flute by my own and play it but I always fail to make one.
✨Thank you, Sister, 🙏✨
✨🙏🏼✨
What a godsend! This flute is LOT easier to build, especially the embouchure hole of the flute than the PVC Native American flute or a PVC Tin Whistle . That alone, gets Like/Subscribe/Bell
Hello, Greatings from Mexico, excelent video, very usefull, but by the way, this flute can be totally chromatic? and does it have a third octave? thanks blessings :)
❤❤T.H.A.N.K. Y.O.U. ♥♥ I will be using the info for my classroom activity.
Suena hermoso, por favor deja una imagen con las medidas, muy buen video
Hi, nice video. Now if only I can only figure out how to make a sound. (I've never been able to make a sound with a flute) Thus I took to singing & playing the guitar. =)
What is that called? A de-bur tool?
Thanks so much for this great video. I made a pvc flute years ago which didnt really work well so I will give your methods a go indeed. Did you make a G flute in this video?
I’m not 100% but yes I believe it was G. Should say which one it is in the link/table I used.
I hope you get more subscribers
It’s gonna take time, and I know I’m not everyone’s cup of tea. I’m thankful for who I already have 😊
Hi please can I buy that flute?
New sub 50 with me congrats!
WHOO WHOO 🎉 Thank you!
What's the "tool" you use 2 enlarge the tone hole...Blue in color?
It’s called a Deburring Tool. Mine happened to be the Kobalt Deburring Tool from Lowe’s, which is around $10.
Where did you get a white PVC pipe?
My local hardware store, Lowe’s.
Please help! I attempted to make one of these, and the upper registers are very out of tune. How to fix?
When you say upper register, do you mean upper octaves or the upper holes on the instrument? Upper octave, the fingerings are most likely different vs the lower and middle octave. I’m not sure what those fingerings are, you may be able to google it. Upper holes on the instrument, tuning should be able to be fixed with a de-burr tool like I used. You’ll have to sit down with a tuner and adjust/open each hole (starting with the ones closest to the end/right hand). Just be careful because once you open it up, there isn’t any going back.
Thank you very much for the reply, I mean the upper octaves. Everyone calls them something different. My holes are on pitch in the low octave, I assumed that the same fingering would apply to the upper registers since the principle of harmonics works on the same length of tubing like on a horn. If this is not the case, do you have a reference to upper octave fingerings?
Understood and I thought the same but I had issues with the upper octave as well. The only reason I figure there are different fingerings is because on a modern flute, the lower and middle octaves fingerings are the same, while the upper octave fingerings change. I don’t have a reference to what those fingerings would be on something like this though. Google may have some resources for you.
But it’s my middle octave that is off.
@@nicolasbergeron1715 hmm, I’m not sure then. Your lowest and middle octave should be the same.
I tried it. And it blows.
don't you have a plug in both ends? 😮😮
Nope, just one!
@@blondewithaflute thank you 😃🙋
Good video but turned off because of the cheesy music.. sorry.
Can making with bamboo
