This man is such a wonderful compassionate person. We need more like him.
But there are already "more like him" .... there are HUNDREDS OF MILLIONS of people - most likely BILLIONS of people, just like him, who do caring loving acts for animals every single day, and they are all around you. Animals can sense hurricanes or natural disasters when they are coming. They would have also been able to sense how much other life is around them. They new they were being helped so they cooperated.

When he referred to the animals as souls that got me. Because we tend to think that we are the only ones with souls. WHY. When without a doubt the kindest souls are usually dogs. Why can’t they have souls. So yeah. I connected with that. These animals become part of the family. The bond is just as strong.

Yes. When I was homeless I had a sick kitten full of worms because the lady I got her from sold her that way and did not tell me. It was bad she would close to death. I was poor and homeless, but I found a way to save her. We have a home now and she is a fat, happy house cat and has been a loyal friend for eight years. 😸

I had a big dream since childhood to save the animals and take care of them….I followed a related dream, to take care of the humans, so after many decades as an RN I use much of my income to support sanctuaries like this. This is one brave man!!! I can't imagine 300 anything in my house. So much compassion! This is kind of how I got my dog. The neighbors took her to the shelter, but there had been a storm, and the shelter was full, so they brought her back home. I took her in 6 years ago. They sure didn't want her. I've seen them stand and watch her out in the pouring rain, and not lift a finger to get her in. I've seen them throw raw vegetables out for her to eat, and never change her water. She is mine now!
