UNFORTUNATELY, if they or the customers fed the pelican, it would decide to do all of its "fishing" in that store. It wouldn't be good for the pelican and it wouldn't be good for the store. Don't get me wrong. I'd be extremely tempted to buy it a fish for it even if I saw it walking by.
@Listarr That's what I was thinking - throw some fish outside, but they'd basically have to throw it pretty far so it wouldn't just come running (or flying) right back. I don't think the pelican's that dumb and knows where the fish is coming from. It would have to know that it can't get a full meal's worth from them - just a snack. I'd hate to just shoo the animal away without being nice to it.
