If you’re in Japan and want to give overlanding a try, go check out Overland Japan and use the code “Hannah” at checkout for a free roadtrip gift. It also helps support my channel ☺️ overlandjapan.com/en/
Definitely will look into it!! We are hoping to do this when we are able to roam free in Japan 🇯🇵
A lots of food is contaminated radioactive so please take your risk to get cancers of your body. Do not blame others.
You’ve really put this type of holiday on my travel list for how we experience Japan! Great vid as always!
Glad you enjoyed it! It's such a great way to travel!
Well done Hannah and Chris, great build. Any DIY that doesn't end with a trip to hospital is a triumph in my book. Let the adventures begin.
Agreed 😅
Never apologies for learning something new, you two did a great job on the kitchen bit!
The jeep build looks awesome. I wouldn’t say it’s a small build, it’s a biggie in my book. Hard work pays off, you guys done amazing. Also, the new space looks great, almost as if you guys secretly shot in IKEA when nobody was looking haha. Not sure why, but the MacBook looked like an IKEA prop haha.
Hahah yeah it was definitely a project on the larger side 😅
Just came across your channel and your solo camping in japan video! So cool to see someone overlanding out of a jeep in japan. Love the set up and thanks for the shoutout!
No thank YOU for the build inspiration 😅 I’m loving the lifestyle so far so keen for more trips in the future!
I like this 90's teen movie first point naration speech combined-continuing with origina voice video. Very rare on youtube.
Really impressed by the build Hannah. Great job to you, Chris, Connor and everyone else who contributed. The jeep looks fabulous now for camping.
Thank you! Excited to get started ☺️
Understand the difficulty of being overseas and trying to do a build. I was stationed in Atsugi JN for 3 years. Love the build; don't sell yourself short by building it yourself or apologize. DIY projects mean more in the end and you can be very proud of what you have created as it shows in your video. First builds are always the hardest however you built it and know all its quirks, how to fix it, and in the end will figure out what works and doesn't work. Once you've used it, then comes usually the rebuild where you incorporate what you've found you need more and the parts that didn't work out at all that seemed to be a great idea in the start. From the $$$$ you saved by doing it yourself, you could build 2-3 more versions and probably still not spend as much as a "fancy" pull out kitchen that you now would have a hard time justifying tossing it for another once you figure it all out and it didn't really suite your needs. I'm starting on my 3rd rendition of my camp kitchen in the rear of my 4Runner, so I know! :) And I love the challenge of figuring it all out, although sometimes very frustrating. GREAT WORK!!!
So, something I really love about this is ... well, a few things: 1. Your videos are always great because you come across as so honest and authentic and NOT pretentious which is great! 2. You're doing all of this in JAPAN which is one of the most gorgeous places for outdoor adventures that I've had the pleasure to visit. Clean, beautiful, moderate weather ... just wonderful. 3. It's been cool to see your videos evolve over these different stages of your life. Keep up the channel and have fun!
Thanks Mike ☺️ Happy to hear that.
The burp was my favourite part
A camping in the rain video on the countryside of Japan would be cool.
Little steps, with a purpose. You're moving in the right direction. High 5 on that.
Any DYI project has its own temptations. The biggest hurdle is confronting each one AND overcoming them. Congratulations. Marie and I always enjoy your channel and your adventures. Now, you won't get stuck in a flat area, like what happened in that other vehicle that you borrowed for the day. Each of these adventures have been a LOT of fun to watch. Thanks for being you...and we look forward to all the exciting videos that are coming to this channel. Again, congratulations.
Thank you! Yes we confronted many a challenge and fear on this project! Glad you liked it ☺️
The jeep looks great with the camping additions you and Chris did a great job!
Good job on the build. Building it, making mistakes, laughing a lot and celebrating successes is part of the fun of overlanding.
Thanks Michael. So much fun so far!
Great build, I think you’ve got a business there!
DIY gives you that extra satisfaction because you know you worked hard to build it and it works great. Love the idea of a home on wheels with everything you need, its such a nice thought. Congrats on the effort and I can't wait to see more of the Jeep in future videos!
Very true. All the extra little scratches and holes give it ✨character✨
@ 10:17 nice set up ☝
Nice jeep and you need a massive bright orange Naruto pic on that grey wall.
Haha yeah I think I definitely need some warmth back there
Liked the drawn effects and how you transition from scene to scene mid sentence.
Fun! I'm looking forward to the epic Jeep adventures. You and Chris did a great *burp* job on the conversion work. I also look forward to the evolution of your new office. It's all comin' together!
Congrats on a job well done Hannah, the whole thing looks awesome!
This is spectacular, Hannah! Congratulations to you and Chris! 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻🫶🏻
Yay finished Jeep! As a non-handiperson, I'm impressed! It was a bit humbling to hear that the rooofrack wouldn't be able to support my partner and me at the same time, though. Glad that's not an issue for you 🙂. And the studio with early-2000s-news-anchor look was fun!
Yeah I was a little surprised to hear the limit also. To be fair though, that might just be dynamic weight while the car is in motion but static weight it could hold a lot more. I’m not sure.
That looks so adventurous! Can’t wait to see your next trips.
The result looks so stunning and Andy might just be the cutest smol dog ever!!
It looks so good!! Well done, Hannah.
Nice! I hope you enjoy new looftop tent!
That's a beautiful setup you got there Hannah! Happy overlanding :)
This is so freaking cool! Glad you managed to make it all work out, and I’m looking forward to future videos with it ☺️
It looks amazing hannah well done you should be so proud !!
Nice job on your first build! Turned out great!
Thanks! Hopefully the next one is a little more stylish!
"Doesn't look slick"... What? DIY is always slick to me. Nice work!
Hah thanks Timothy! The multiple screw holes in the top from when we missed the wood underneath my disagree however haha
Great car update! 👍Congratulations! Good luck and interesting travels! 😉
Something about the desk/office made this feel so different from the usual videos! Def news anchor vibes like you said. Such a cool jeep build! (Also the audio cuts again...*chef's kiss*)
thats so cool sweet and simple. waiting for more shots and videos
The Jeep build looks great. Awesome Job !
Bravo Hannah! Looks soooo good!! 💪
Great looking Jeep and awesome job on the build!!!
That turned out great!!!! you should feel very proud of yourself!!!
Congratulations on a successful (mostly) DIY build. Well done.
Very well done, great job for your first DIY project.
I’m loving these Jeep videos! Hope to see many more. Your build turned out fantastic
Thank you! I’m very happy with how it turned out!
Hell ya! Seems like you got this done rather quickly! Looks great
You guys did such an awesome job on your jeep build!! 😀
Wow the build really turned out great!
Looks like your all set for awesome adventures!
good job! amazing built. cool touch with the overlapping commentary switch scene...
Is that a bow in your hair? I love bows, are the coming back. Your kitchen look great. Good luck on your jeep adventures.
Wow! Great job :D the jeep is looking super goood!
Wow!😍 super great! job well done!
I loved this video and seeing the process of building the kitchen!
Thanks Chris! It was super challenging (to make and edit haha)
Don't worry about the lack of experience, it's great! I just hope it lasts a while without warping or giving you troubles, given that it'll be in the shelter of the vehicle when not in use, I'm sure it will and You've learned a lot from this experience. The fact that you had an idea and executed it is a far better outcome then not trying in first place and hopefully inspires others to also live their dream. I love your videos as always.
Thank you! Yes I’m already getting some more ideas about how to improve it in the future.
As a woodcrafts men I think you did an amazing job especially with what you had to work with. I really appreciate what you and Chris accomplished!! That is not easy. I know that you will enjoy using it for years to come. We are looking forward to your adventures on the road. ❤️❤️
Thanks Michael! That means a lot coming from a wood working person’
Kicking goals Hannah !!!!
It actually looks amazing 👏
This is so cool! Andy is a terrific supervisor.
He’s just the cutest 🥰
Fabulous work! Hope there will be videos about road trip and camping with the jeep, that will be fantastic
That's the plan!
The jeep looks very good. Looking forward for more videos on the jeep.🔥😍
I think you all did an amazing job on the jeep, I thought you bought it that way when I saw it in your previous videos.
The jeep looks great, good job.👍🏻
Insane build!!! 👏👏👏
Beautiful and inspiring. Bless you
Like the new setting.... Very you...
That seemed pretty easy to set up the Jeep for overlanding. Looks great
Good job folks !
Awesome ! well done. Enjoy it !!!
This is so cool! Been looking forward to the Jeep build and it turned out amazing. A definite benefit of doing it yourself is that you know how to fix it! And you have a better idea of how to change stuff as the build evolves. The office is really cool too, you just keep checking off the professional youtuber boxes haha, can't wait to see whats next!
Yes exactly! We’d still like to build some kind of camera gear drawer in the backseat area or something so it seems a lot more doable now that we’ve got this under our belt!
Hannah’s are just super cool humans💁🏽♀️ hehe thank you for sharing
It turns out the overlanding kitchen works properly in your Jeep, Miss Hannah, so that you can cook during your journey.
Great work!
damn dude your JK turned out sick. lookin forward to your wheelin videos.
Thanks! I’m very proud of it!
Gr8 vidéo… congratulations! Looking forward to many more road trip videos! Qn: Do they have white water rafting in Japan???
Ayooo, awesome and ready for more adventures!
The Jeep looks great! Very excited to see what's to come and all the places you'll go. The office space, yeah it's eh right now but you'll figure it out. Will Mochi be going on any adventures with you guys?
This is amazing!!!
Great setup!! FYI dee zee makes a great rack that is bolt on with no drilling. Ran it with our RTT for 3 years on our Jeep.
I’ll keep that in mind for next time!
Nice work Hannah, it looks perfect for adventures. I thought Chris might have installed some kind of drone take-off strip on the roof though... So he could launch without getting out of the car! Happy camping 👍❤️👍
Haha it wouldn’t surprise me lol
you couldn’t get your 🙌🏻 on the batwing awning. i really like that ☝️
looks amazing :)
My favorite takeaway from this video: “problems” are just challenges to overcome and conquer 😈 seriously can’t thank you enough 🙏🏽 just for being yourself 🥰🐥🕉
YESSSSS it turned out SO sick!
Thank you!! So excited to take advantage of it all :)
omg its amazing! well done. I hope this inspires you to do more diy =)
Great video and insights Hannah. I'm interested in the rhino-rack backbone, but even at 150kg weight limit how does it cope with two people when the tent alone is 70kg?
Good Job!
Beautiful 🤩 As a proud owner of a Jeep Rubicon ready for overlanding, I will now watch your videos with even increased interest! No rooftop tent for my rig, though. Not every country is as safe as Japan, better to be stealthy and low-profile.
Welcome Philippe! It’s such a fun lifestyle but yes I totally understand about the no RTT thing.
I am from Nepal🇳🇵I am biggest fan of your 🥺I live in Japan Yokohama
His laugh is so hilarious 😂
It's cool. Wonderful.
Superb 😍
Very cool. Thanks. A bit late for this vid but you have a new subscriber :)
Big fan of Drew Sims too 🙂
Very cool ! It would be curious to know how much the change affected MPG ( miles per gallon). Maybe have a sticky note that has the Jeep's new height to serve as a reminder when approaching a parking garage that may have a low height or ceiling obstructions. Like your design of the build 👌
It seems like it hasn't affected the MPG much (not in a particularly noticable way at least!)
Love it! :)
Love it.
You need your artwork behind you!
Me and my husband tried some diy projects at our house, and i can agree with you that even sometimes is not like 100% perfect (holes, lines and measurements) BUT the thing is, saying that we build up that stuff together is the REAL satisfaction! Great work you too! 👌 The jeep is looking awesome. Did you decided the name for it?
You’re very right! Doesn’t matter that it’s a little average looking cuz I built it! Haha And no I haven’t really settled on a name yet haha. I’m too indecisive.
@@CurrentlyHannahwhen the right name pop up in your mind you will know it and not doubt about it anymore, don't worry! 😉
OH! Greetings from Amsterdam
