Lt. General Ben Hodges (Ret.) | Are the US’ and Europe’s security interests growing apart?

2024 ж. 21 Мам.
158 242 Рет қаралды

Does social media distort the reality of war or bring us closer than ever to it? Would the NATO alliance hold in case of an incursion in Northern Finland? Is such an incursion likely? Is there a significant chance of the US not guaranteeing European security in the longer term, as it has before? These are some of the many questions we had the honor to ask Ben Hodges, a retired three star general in the United States Armed Forces, as well as the former commanding general of the United States Army Europe. I hope you enjoy the episode.

    • I've been saying this for months!! There are so many retired, relatively young, generals & colonels with so much experience in the military & allied cooperation in many countries, giving them an overall insight on world politics, and highly respected by their troops & civilians alike. Why can't they run for office & do what is needed for their constituents & country, which they will see as their duty? If they don't wanna run for a party they can form a 3rd party to counter both MAGA & the Dems. How tf can politicians & judges work into their eighties & respected military leaders who still have their full faculties and can still give great service for several years, have to retire from military service when they are still relatively young?? It just doesn't make sense! You guys really must overhaul your entire political and justice systems, cos for the last several months (even years!) you have relegated yourselves to Banana Republic status who doesn't have ANY RIGHT to EVEN COMMENT on what's happening ANYWHERE IN THE WORLD!!! You are DIRECTLY responsible for whatever happens in Ukraine & you will suffer huge casualties when Putin attacks your NATO allies & you will be FORCED to enter the war (after blocking weapons supply & helping to defeat Russia once & for all), which you will never accept & so wont even last as long as Ukraine has done before you beg for peace!!! Do the right thing now America!!! Civil War IS COMING TO YOU AT THE END OF THE YEAR, WHETHER TRUMP WINS OR NOT!!! So WAKE THE F UP NOW & get rid of them once & for all. Grow some balls & do the right thing!!! God is looking down on YOU & I really don't think he is very impressed!! Great respect for Ben & his respected colleagues!! You guys should be running America!!! SLAVA UKRAINI!!!

    • The biggest threat to contemporary civilization is the lack of honesty and conscientiousness - especially among the people who are supposed to inform and enlighten the masses. It's a pity when often the dishonest ignoramuses with an insufficient brain power are trying to "educate" the public on the subject of our - i.e., of the former USSR nations' - reality and history [especially when it is coupled with a strong intention to divide the union of Russian people (i.e., Russians-Ukrainians-Belorussians-Rusyns) - this is the scammers' old colonial trick "divide and conquer"]. Ukraine, being in the Russian state and in the USSR, became the founder of the USSR and of the UN, increased its territory around seven-fold, population - in around 22 times, and finally became the third power in the world by the main civilization characteristics in 1980-ths! As a Ukrainian, I state that the distorting Ukrainian history and reality media personalities and the instigating ethnic strife criminals should be brought to the future Ukraine Nation's Military Tribunal (in the way as it was done for the Nazis by the Nazi-hunting Wiesenthal Institute) - together with the creators and supporters of the scabies/короста on the body of our nation - current puppet néonazi anti-Ukrainian regime in Ukraine. The Hitler collaborators are the main heroes of this regime, the elite force of its army is "Azov" - which was recognized as a néonazi organization even by the US Congress, the slogans and greetings of this regime are copied from the ones of the Hitler collaborators, the anti-nazi are killed by the "death squads" or imprisoned, the national thinker Oles' Busina is demonstratively killed and his killers are funded the government! The people who really care about the civilization on the planet Earth and the free-thinking Ukrainians will always remember and hunt (again, to bring to the justice - as Wiesenthal did) the war criminals who have brought and/or supported puppet néonazi regimes in Ukraine and started the Civil war in our country ⚡

  • When I read the name Ben Hodges in the title of a video I always always watch it. Now that youtube, social media and the political scene (our leaders) are a chaos, listening to Ben Hodges is extremely pleasant. A mix of big knowledge, common sense, strength, clarity, well mannered and good communication skills. People like him are very needed in this crazy world we are living these days. I wish he would occupy a very relevant position, military or political, or at least that our leaders would listen to him.

  • Lt. General Ben Hodges (Ret.) for President. Anytime Ben Hodges comes up on my feed I'm gonna watch it. So I have watched a lot of Ben Hodges interviews. The question asked were new, great, and have need to have been asked for a while. Which in turn gave the viewers some new insights into just how awesome Mr. Hodges is. So I have subbed, but I am an American so it seems like there is not a lot of content that I can comprehend. Another American that has a clue that you could interview would be Malcolm Nance. Mr. Nance does a lot of interviews so in the spirit of this interview, where new questions where asked, would be very interesting. And as Mr. Hodges seemed to react, refreshingly new.

  • I have been chasing the General through the KZheads for months, because his remarks and insights are interesting and very thought provoking. And even though it sounds like a platitude, he calls a spade a spade. He also seems to always end up on channels who ask the good questions, as opposed to just channels with millions of subscribers. I like to believe that he does his research on them and goes where he has confidence in getting a good conversation going. And I usually subscribe to the channels he was on. 😊

  • This is an excellently conducted interview with intelligent perspective and well-informed questions. General Hodges is a refreshing voice of reason everywhere he’s invited to speak, and this is the by far the best I’ve seen any interviewer engage his knowledge-base and go beyond the typical soundbite hits. Superbly done. Subscribed.
