  • On the Kayfabe in the modern era question, I think MJF is writing the book on how to still remain in character in the internet age. Everything he does in public, including his social media, is 100% in character. He's doing an absolutely phenomenal job of keeping kayfabe alive in an era where everything you do is recorded. 30 years from now, MJF's way of doing things is going to be taught in wrestling schools on how to commit to your character. Kayfabe isn't dead, it's just evolving.

  • Always loved Taker, he made the character as his personality and the way his character is so simple “being in the darkside” in the early years of his WWE/WWF career really elevated his status. The way his character is presented and the way he presented it really made him a badass that even if he became the American BA or the deadman that can do technical moves, he is still great to watch. Great interview Chris! Hope you can interview Mark in person next time!

    • @Edge in my opinion the Undertaker is the face of wrestling. I never forgot watching live when Brock beat the streak. I was just in shock dude and when undertaker stood up and walked up the ramp I actually cried. I never ever thought the streak would ever end! Brock wasn’t the guy. Should have kept the streak going but I would of had Roman beat the streak. Heel Roman beating the streak would have been amazing! Brock didn’t need to beat the streak

      @fantasmaparanormal1996@fantasmaparanormal1996 Жыл бұрын
    • @Edge well I remember before undertaker himself confirmed that vince asked him to end the streak so many conspiracy theories about the ref made a mistake, brock went into business for himself, taker being too concussed to kick out. I understand why as I couldn’t believe it could actually happen

      @fantasmaparanormal1996@fantasmaparanormal1996 Жыл бұрын
    • @Edge I don’t think it was the right call at that time. Brock didn’t need to beat the streak he was already a monster heel and a part timer. I think Heel roman would have just taken that ball and knocked it out of the park.

  • Incredible interview. I met Undertaker the Phenom at a convention in NY a month before the beginning of the pandemic in 2020. It was the first time I met my childhood icon who have been the Cornerstone of the WWE and he's been the most pivotal part entity the company has ever had and there's never going to be another. The stories he's told is so authentic and he's the most respected legend and human being ever. I have my copy of the Undertaker 25th Anniversary book and he's signed it that time he came in NY. What a moment I've had to meet the Deadman. The Digimon of the WWE like in the anime series a Digimon becomes evolved into a Champion, Ultimate and Mega. Just as the anime series he is the Digimon of the company who kept his character evolved from Champion (1990-1996), Ultimate (1997-1999), Mega (2000-2020). The phases of his character was so awesome - the Western Days, the Goth/Ministry of Darkness era, American Badass and back into the classic Undertaker which became a hybrid of his incarnations until the Mohawk style into Boneyard farewell that's icing on the cake of his versions that no one will duplicate and imitate. Shoutout to you Chris for this amazing interview. You're awesome.

  • I had the Taker cross as my wallpaper on my computer for years growing up. He's one of the greatest character driven wrestlers to ever do it. Legit badass and a true professional, who showed multiple generations how it's done. Crazy to hear about how that Cena match could went. Would've been cool to see them go 30 minutes. Great chat, dude.
