A Collaboration with the fantastic Jack Ruch on one of my favourite Donny tunes. Jack has been one of my favourite players for a while now so it was great to finally play on something together.
I'm using my old CS Nocaster through a Providence SOV II and a Dunlop Echoplex Delay (for slap) straight into the Logic 'Large Blackface' amp plugin.
Fantastic!
This is what I call musicianship, both of you played so well, a joy to the ear and Jack your lessons are top notch, greetings to you both, Vic
I’m a fan from Singapore 🇸🇬 Charlie 🙌🏽

Hey Charlie, I am really inspired by this video. If you have time, would you consider posting a video that goes over how you approach improvising over these changes? That would be greatly appreciated! No pressure, love your playing.
Amazingly good. That one dislike must be an accident, that's the only explanation
Charlie this is superb! please tell me where you get the drum samples from
Sweet playing! What scale(s) are you playing?
Cheers from Greece brother! Your playing and sound are very inspiring. 🙏 Can IA ask what's the pickups on the Nocaster?
Hey Carlos, thanks 🙏🏻 I’m not sure exactly as I’ve never checked. I think they’re stock Fender Custom Shop ones, I’m guessing probably a Nocaster in the bridge and maybe a Twisted Tele or something in the neck.
@@CharlieAllenGuitar Thank you! 🙏
Niiiiice ! Can you disect the phrase at 18sec. 🙏
I am visiting your videos on a daily basis to extract tasty phrasing. You have a magic touch indeed. Could you recommend artists you get inspired by, to listen to?
Ah thanks so much! I never get tired of hearing Robben Ford play but I dig anyone with good time/touch. Recently I’ve been listening to Khruangbin, Jim Campilongo, Dexter Gordon, Sco and a Donald Fagen record called ‘Sunken Condos’ - some really tasty guitar stuff on there.
@@CharlieAllenGuitar Thank you for replying. Yes, love Robben (check out his solo on Ozz Noy's Iceman, such taste) and Khruangbhin, the rest is new, so great!!! Been trying to find you playing with bands live, or also on Spotify, but only found a few things. Hope to see you more on media. Cheers
@@CharlieAllenGuitar I think that’s Jon Herrington on that Donald Fagan album, great player! Love your playing on this track!
@@jakollee yeah! I think Wayne Krantz is on there too, some great playing on that record.
@@CharlieAllenGuitar cool! I’ll have to check out more of the tracks!
Opie from sons of anarchy can really play guitar
Man
