  • Its an iconic moment in rock music and film. Its the first that started to craze that eventually led into MTV music videos. The King started it all.

  • What a fantastic little gem this was. Top-notch! The only complaint is that you don't actually get to hear Elvis sing the song though, to be fair, all of us can hear it in our heads.

    • You are very welcome :) Unfortunately, KZhead told me I had to mute the segment of the music, because it breaks their copyright guidelines - otherwise I would have left it in. Glad you enjoyed it!

  • Elvis hated making this movie because he felt parker was sitting at his family and Elvis wanted to tell parker where to go and resolve their partnership, but Gladys would not hear of it, she told Elvis to do whatever parker wanted so he didn't tell the world of their family secret and shame, and that was it for the rest of Elvis's life, Gladys gave parker cart blanche to treat Elvis however he wanted, even in the 70s parker held that sword of Damocles over Elvis's head, and Elvis was even more scared of parker saying anything as his daddy was very ill and Elvis thought had parker said anything Vernon could die.

    • What a load of nonsense. Gladys disliked and mistrusted Parker - a fact that you would know if you were an Elvis fan with even just a rudimentary knowledge of Elvis. Next time you wish to make things up and infer sexual impropriety, then list your actual empirical evidence and the sources it came from. Stating an opinion or offering up supposition is not evidence, merely made-up bullshit. I'm not interested in so-and-so said this, or she/he said that, etc - and let's face it, most of the nonsense spouted about Elvis has conveniently been stated years after he died. After all, under the law, you can write or say whatever you damn well like about someone who is dead without facing the charges of libel or slander - I'm interested in stone-cold facts, provable by evidence. None of what you wrote is based on any evidence.

      @joeblack8915@joeblack891523 күн бұрын
    • @@joeblack8915 I never inferred any sexual impropriety and for you to think so it just shows exactly where your mind is, in the gutter, everything I said was made clear in the book by Elaine Dundy, called 'Elvis and Gladys', she was a family friend who also helped Uncle Vester write his book, so take your mind back to the gutter where it belongs

      @judyheagle@judyheagle23 күн бұрын
    • With all due respect you are wrong. Gladys didn't trust Tom Parker and she didn't want Elvis to sign with Tom Parker to be Elvis' manager. It's one of the very few times that Elvis didn't listen to his Mother. Usually Elvis did anything that his Momma ask if him because he loved and respected her.

      @BrendaBooher-hw4mf@BrendaBooher-hw4mf18 күн бұрын
    • @@BrendaBooher-hw4mf I am not going to bother arguing with you, there are a lot of misconceptions out there about Gladys and this is one of them, Gladys did not like parker because he was a control freak like her, but she did tell Elvis to do whatever parker wanted so no one would find out about the family shame as she put it that Vernon had been in jail, maybe you need to read Elaine Dundys book Elvis and Gladys, then you will see for yourself, Elaine Dundy also helped Uncle Vester write his book so she knew the Presleys.

      @judyheagle@judyheagle18 күн бұрын
    • And what, pray tell, would this "family shame" be that seemingly only you know about? Many of us Elvis fans are academic and have done extensive research......not sure what you're inferring here. The book you're referring to is not wholly accurate so I wouldn't be quoting anything from it as gospel. Thank you very much.
