Kinda disappointed that they didn’t send out vacuums and a fridge smh
Ikr EA never fails to disappoint.
a lovingly hand-felted dust bunny would be perfect
@@lonngleggedsocialist7414 I would've loved that! they might be mighty annoying in-game, but they look super cute
Let’s hope they will send out bunk beds to us next week
I 100% expected there to be a vacuum in that box.
Lil Simsie is the cat who is more excited for the box than what’s on the inside
Lol I literally came to the comments to say that.

Same here😂 “I hate carpeted bedrooms” as I’m sitting in a carpeted bedroom
tbh alot better than whats 'tendy" today, nobodies gonna want a bland white all white and gray piece of crap that can barely be called architecture in 20 years, us zoomers reject bad millenial/gen x design, a skirted couch has more character than a bland millenial modern one

@@Lilian040210 I have killed a succulent there is no hope for me.
Concerning the "secret" fridge or other appliances: Over here in Germany, we do that a lot and it's not more expensive than a regular appliances/cabinets. It's a made-to-be-hidden fridge, which is a regular fridge without feet and with a door that can be attached to the cabinet door. Same goes for the dishwasher. I really wish we had something similar to this as an option for Sims 4 kitchens.
Same in Italy! Built in appliances are pretty common 😅
There's definitely CC for that if you're into this kind of thing. I think creator Harrie always includes these "hidden" appliances to match his custom countertops into his works
I was so confused by that, because I have seen very few German homes that don't have built-in appliances. I feel like the non-built-ins are even more expensive (at least when it comes to fridges). I know there is CC for it and I love CC, but it makes it complicated or impossible to share your builds on the Gallery with lots of people and to me building is useless if I can't share my builds..
@@wendywendy8157 Thanks for the rec, I'll keep that in mind. But contrary to what I've done in Sims 1 to 3, I'm pretty much playing the Sims 4 without CC, just using a few mods. So having at least one option in the game would be awesome.
Same in Korea. I love the refrigerators that don't look like appliances.
No one: Simsie: I don't know if you can hear that but this is like, a nice box. A solid box.

That’s true adulting.
Omg the wallpaper border - my mom swore by this in the 90s. When we moved into a new house in 1995, we got to pick out our paint color for our bedrooms + the border for the top. Like - WE HAD TO HAVE THAT BORDER. as in - it was a requirement for every bedroom. “Everyone needs a border” ugh and the valances over the windows??? *shudder*
This has been a good month for miss simsie. She got to host for Nickelodeon, her KZhead play button, and now sims PR. Get that coin sis!
Yea
Love the PFP
And she got a box!
Idk if i'd call the PR a 'win'
Host for Nickelodeon??? Whaat
I think you forgot one important 90s item: the buffet. It was large and people stored everything from crayons to kitchen ware in there and it was always covered in plants and weird clay vases.
I've never seen the point in those monstrosities people dared to call furniture.
@@birdgirl8390 The 90s was big on nostalgia for the 18th & 19th century and originally when built in cabinets weren't a thing a cabinet as a piece of furniture made a lot of sense. When you've already got built in cupboards they are redundant extra storage spaces.
There is one still in my parent's house, but it gets used for food all the time. We played board games at dinner growing up so the serving dishes got put there after everyone filled their plate the first time. They still do that out of habit when there is company [and probably when it is just them] even though at this age we're playing Cards Against Humanity instead of Candyland or Old Maid. That is also where the cady dish lives.
My parents have one in their dining room ugh. This is so accurate
You’ve just unlocked a memory of my grandparents house I didn’t even know I had-

I hate hate hate that look. It looks like a cooking show set and totally impractical.
all i can think bout when i see those shelves is how hard dusting must be
how ppl cope without the upper cabinets I am not capable of imagine lul
The 90's theme is easier to complete with the Sims 2 and 3. Kinda makes me nostalgic having a telephone in the kitchen or living room.

@@zebzoron open shelving looks SO MESSY for absolutely NO reason
Open shelving defeats the whole point of storage: to hide all your mess. Let me hide my shameful conglomeration of random crap I use once a year, mixed stacks of non-matching dishes, and beloved mementos that don't go with anything in my decor because I'm not a college student anymore but Evanescence still slaps.
Open shelving - I hate it in kitchens and bathrooms. Everywhere else it just collects dust. But in "wet" rooms it's worse.

I will always hold the opinion that nobody should wear lowrise jeans. Nobody looks good in them
As a 92 baby I firmly believe low rise can go burn in hell...I suffered enough. I do not want to show the world my bum crack, thank you.
as a fat chick born in 1990 i can firmly say both high and lowrise should go away , just stick with something in the middle.
I just want regular mid-rise pants. The waist at my actual waist! I have a physical issue from a childhood surgery that makes High-waisted pants uncomfortable and unflattering and I might be the only one happy that trend is ending. I mean super low-riding low-rise jeans weren’t great either but it was easier to find mid-rise jeans during the low-rise era then it was during the high waist era, so I might be holding a grudge.
I love high rise, but that’s because I’m a plus size person and they just fit comfortably. I think low rise aren’t that bad- but back then clothing like that only helped to enforce the “you can only look good if you’re skinny” mentality, and I think that’s why the fell out of trend so harshly in the 2010’s.
gave into my emotions, had a meltdown and started screaming and crying while watching this. very unique experience.
I’m getting big sims 1 vibes from the exterior which means that this build is on point.

Simsie: they loved there beige in the 90’s All the beige walls in my house: ohh man she’s smart how did she know?
Is it just me or does anyone else LOVE building outdated and grannyish houses in the Sims? It just makes the game feel more realistic! Most of my builds have pokey little bedrooms, no separate office and rarely ensuites. It reminds me of the houses I grew up in (3 bed, 1 bath, separate living/kitchen/dining, sharing rooms with siblings)

I love how americans think that houses built in the 90s are 'older houses' my house was built in the 1750s...
There are houses in the US that are just as old. I think by "older home" she's just saying it's not a modern 2021 day house.
Good for you
In the US, it’s a standard desire to have a modern new home with new electrical and plumbing when you hit a certain socioeconomic class- buying a home built post WWII is a risk because our quality of life here is low in poorer communities and the trade off of a cheap old (and often partially prefabricated) home tends to be endless expensive repairs. On the flip side, heritage homes (like in the 1700s like you stated) are nearly always owned in part by the county they are in and can; depending on where you live, limit what you are allowed to do to them because they are deemed historically important. My aunt lives in a historical home built in 1807 and can’t change the structure at all even though it’s hers. (The trade off is significantly lower taxes). So it’s almost always more desirable for average middle class families to build a new modern home.

I need a challenge where simsie builds something, and during the whole video, she can't say a single bad opinion about her work. Not an "uhh this is terrible" not an "I am so sorry this is horrific" not even an "eh okay whatever". I want her to say something positive about everything she does. It's not only life changing when you start complimenting yourself, but it would be so wild to hear her say " this is such a good idea to make it like this" or "i'm so good at landscaping and making the roof" I would be sitting there, shouting YEEESSS YOU GO ROOF QUEEN SHOW THEM!!
Oh my gosh. Lil Simsie is only a few weeks older than I am and boy can I tell because I relate to every single experience in this video 😂 The fake plants on top of the garish wood cabinets, awful wallpaper and colors, everything beige, skirts on all the furniture, super closed off floor plans...
