    • I did that before , it's not cowardice , everybody expresses themselves differently ... when it comes to heart2heart conversations I'm not strong enough to face someone. Like, I lose my words, I'm scared of seeing their reaction , the feelings involved can be overwhelming. So it's easier to do it through a text than face2face. It's all about someone's character and feelings

    • Alex I’m sorry, but I disagree. You’re a coward if you don’t intend to break up with someone face to face. You have the obligation to do so, despite how nervous you might be. The recipient is ultimately the person who will suffer the most. Even if it’s hard for you to break up with someone remember: When somebody leaves, the person who stays will suffer the most. It’s the honorable way to end the relationship.

    • I kind of think it depends. I know why breaking up face-to-face is important, but it can also be difficult to properly articulate your thoughts and feelings in person. With text you can take as much time as you need to get your thoughts in order the wording right, to pour your heart out in a proper way. Just look at the oldest break-up in this video. It was the equivalent of breaking up through text but it was still powerful.

  • I think how Liza and David presented their breakup is very respectable because they acted as adults and didn’t blame it on each other. They made a video to explain why, and weren’t just trying to get views, as seen with Trisha Paytas. They didn’t try to make it some huge deal, but kept it clean and simple.

  • The evolution of breakups is wild. They were all personal and heart breaking and public, but the execution of the breakups from the start to end is so drastic. In the 1800s ppl wrote letters and poetry-things you find beauty and comfort in- and now??- a lot of it is so much about finding cues through social media and seeing who is doing better than who rather than the beauty of what’s past and what is now after a break up

    • Amaya McMillan well cheesy enough it really does just take time. Distance yourself for sure. Don’t text him every day or hang out with him. You need to make sure you’re okay before ANYTHING else. Anytime you feel an emotion, allow yourself to feel it. But don’t make yourself sad either, listen to happy songs, dance, hangout with friends, spend time with family, and most importantly learn to love yourself and want to be with you.
