  • I did a road trip in 2018 through the exact same route to Lhasa. Road condition was pretty good, all paved road, towns along the road provided good supply. Biggest challenge is both vehicles and drivers suffering oxygen shortage due to rapid altitude climbing. I experienced headache all the way as long as altitude over 5000meters. Gorgeous scenery, and extremely long trips, some hazards from falling rocks, you meet people from everywhere took one month off just to experience Himalayas. Locals are way richer than i expected, making good money from ranching. I would definitely travel again.

  • This road was once called Death Road, but it has been improved greatly, it is not that dangerous any more. This road is one the most beautiful roads in the world, I really don't think the film captured its beauty even thr thrill moments when you are through a mountain pass or a landslips section. I have traveled both south and north routes of this 318 roads, it gave me memories that will stay with me with all my life.

  • Drove this road twice in the same family car, the first time in 2010 and the second in 2019. Over the years it had been vastly improved which was so evident in the trip of 2019. As I remember there was only some 60km of road works as of June 2019. It could hardly be called dangerous compared with the same road in 2010.

  • A railway is under construction along this route. Two sections from two ends opened already. This will the most difficult railway in the world. There will be some very long tunnels and high bridges. Some tunnels are more than 50 kms.

    • That’s where the Tunnel Borring machine is making money

      @mzee5533@mzee55332 жыл бұрын
    • Actually not so much, both the construction company and the boring machine company are stated owned, which means owned by the people, we invest it, we buildit, we benefit from it. Since this railway is the most difficult one in the world, it still has a few years to go, the good news is that 543km of it is in use out of the 1858km in total.

  • I am now officially an addict of these dangerous roads documentaries! It all started with a short clip I chanced on recently on Facebook - of a Burundian cyclist cruising down the highway with a 200kg load of bananas. I was fascinated. So I immediately went into a hot pursuit of the original/full footage, which landed me on this awesome channel here on KZhead. Since then, which is only a couple of days now FYI, I have never looked back. I am binging on these thrilling and at the same time eye-opening real-life stories. I also draw many lessons from them: Mostly of how fortunate I am and how grateful I should be to be living a fairly better life than that of many people out there. It hits my heart very differently (sob). God bless all the people out there who go through a lot of struggle to make ends meet. And, loads of respect to the entire Free Documentary production crew (including the researchers, script writers, editors, camera crew, THE narrator - what's his name, by the way? - and of course plus each and every person who features on the show that is willing to let us in on their respective lives). It is indeed TEAM WORK! Many thanks and please keep producing more of these.

I have already watched everyone of these in about a week! Also, do you share these documentaries together with "best documentary" channel? Because I've noticed they upload the same documentaries.

  • Have been watching your series for a few days, incredible job 👏. I really feel sorry for hardworking, struggling poor people 😞, for instance Sudan, Madagascar, Liberia etc. And there are many countries. These series should be shown to rich people who have mansions for 100 million and up, 1 mansion could save thousands of lives.
