I shaved my head for the first time at 49. Wish I had of done it years ago. I ask people to TOUCH my hair, lol. I love touching it and I want them to as well. I've had mostly all good feed back. One guy that sees me around....looked at me outside in my first day out with my shaved head and he said "Why? why? why? I just walked away from him. I've gotten way more attention and I don't like attention. I thought I would be somehow invisible as a women and I was looking forward to a quiet summer. NOPE! Whistles, honks, waves....so much attention. People yell out there windows. I love your hair.....I love your vibe.....you rock! Everyone wants to talk about it. One woman asked if I had cancer. Nope, but wanted to go back to my natural colour after bleaching it for over 10 years. I wanted to know if I had grey hair. I can see about 3 grey hairs. Still very brown.
I think all women should cut their hair short at least once if only to know what it feels like, which for me was very liberating.
I shaved my head a few years back and have never gone back. It's so easy, less time consuming and not a money pit. I am almost 40 now and found out more about myself in these last few years than I have my entire life. There is no better feeling than the rain on your shaved head. Every woman should try it at least once in their life. If afraid wait until winter so that if you want to you can wear a hat until it grows to a pixie. Girl you look gorgeous!!!!
What do men think? You don't care? At 42 my long hair is hard to maintain, but my BF loves it so much, I would never deprive him of that joy. Still enjoy these videos though.
You are so beautiful! I just recently went short and have an undercut pixie with the sides buzzed to 1/8 of an inch. I feel like a new person and I feel like my hair has held me back so much in my life and dont believe I will ever have long hair again!
As a hairdresser I encourage women to do whatever they want with their hair, because their opinion is the only thing that really matters. Apart from that I feel obliged to give my opinion on whether a style will suit someone or not. About your hair: you look great with ( ultra) short hair !
Thank you. I think a hairdresser is the only person other than really my husband & best friends, who'd I'd genuinely seek out an opinion for my hair. Everyone else I'm not bothered what they think. But thank you, I really do love the short as well.
as a retired barber and having quite a few girls come into the barbershop over the years trust me most girls look awesome with the short shaved look of course it is a big change but remember it grows back but most girls who told me after the haircut said it was a release from hair attachment thing . so as this young lady said just go for it and too hell with what people thing and of course a barbers is the place to go to get a proper short haircut . The buzz cut looks amazing on you and it could be your best look. You are not “normal”, you are very cool! Stay true to yourself and get to the salon!

I love your hair, short or shaven, both suit you. Im older than you, I first shaved my hair when I was 45yrs, I grew it out to a bob, but it didnt feel like me. So I shaven it mid Feb, and will never grow it again. This is me, and I went thru many doubts, but Im sticking to what I know suits and feels like me. Its hair, it grows back, its so empowering, and it always looks good.

Long hair adds great beauty to most women. If you shave your head, it does not affect others. You do not have the duty to please ME by growing beautiful hair. But encouraging others to shear smacks of jealousy. 😊😊

I identify with your story so much Idk what to do. I’m tempted to cut it but I’ve cut my hair short before and not liked it But I’m not happy with longer hair either I’ve thought about cutting my hair again as I’m dealing with scalp pain and I’m just fed up But I’m heavier and idk how a pixie cut would look on me
It looks adorable on you ❤ I buzzed my hair once, ten years ago. I looked AWFUL. I have super thick wavy hair and I kept being mistaken for a guy 😅

Years ago, I was walking a recreational trail with my infant son when a father and his three young sons, all at an age of understanding, were cycling opposite us; as they passed his voice booms: "Take a good look at her boys! Now, that is how a woman's hair SHOULD look! Not that short s##t." My hair was at its best, because I was in my early 20s. It was healthy and three feet long and coily. This man voicing his opinion struck me to my core. I decided that I would not cry should I lose my hair tomorrow and not to identify too heavily with my hair as my other Island sisters. I love my short hair!

I felt empowered initially..but now i feel like a man..its uncomfortable 😂. NgL , i lowkey regret it😢. Anyone else feeling like this?
