I was in middle school when this came out. Man…What a great time to be a teen. Incredible 90s music, no social media, house parties and gatherings without stupid cell phone addictions, meaningful human connection, the chronic 2001 dropped in high school - these were the jams we were bumping 24/7! I remember driving around Southern California where I grew up blasting these tracks singing along to them with friends, or big parties where all the kids were rapping along and busting into freestyles and b boyin’. It was a special nostalgic time back then that won’t be replicated ever again… I’m so grateful to have experienced it. I’m a teacher now and I wish I could transport my students today to these simpler, special times. It was much easier and I dare say more fun growing up back then, compared to this tech, misinformation, social media competitive age these kids live in now. Don’t get me wrong I know there are great perks today that I didn’t have back then with all this, but I feel for you youngsters out there growing up today it’s gotta be a lot harder… much love.

First of all Anthony, that was the name of my brothers only son. We we're always together. We worked together and my oldest son and his only son were 9 days apart. Our wives were also close. After work we would have dinner at my house or his house. I was in the National Guard in Texas. When 9/11 occurred, I was sent over seas for a year. While I was gone he was in a horrific car accident. He died at the scene. Reports say he passed 2 stop signs crossing a highway. I will never know what possessed him to run those stop signs. I know he was mad,but I don't know at what. I drowned my sorrows in drugs and alcohol. But through the grace of God, my eyes we're opened to my wrong doings. My brother Joey who I named my youngest is my GUARDIAN ANGEL. THIS I KNOW LIKE I KNOW THE SKYE IS BLUE. THANK YOU FOR ASKING. GOD BLESS YOU AND YOURS. ✌

This album is when Big hit his peak prime. He was young but hella life experience by this time. Had experienced the ups and downs of the rap game and when into beast mode. He passed. By this
Yes 90's the best rappers
Very deep. I wish I got to experience this. The closest I’ll ever get to this era is through music and movies they left behind

Born in 84 in Brooklyn. Kings County Hospital. Raised on Fenimore. I was a Bone fan when the East/West beef was at its height. Literally got into fights at school kuz I rocked with Bone and they were considered West Coast. I'll be a Bone fan until I take my very last breath. Ain't no punk or pretend over here

Hands down
This song is before it's time
This song is legendary. Sad how hip hop went backwards instead of progressing. Still got a couple cats keeping the game alive tho

Had to come back after listening to " Barbie Dangerous "because the original just too dope for me 🔥 Always will be
This era was too litt 💙💙💙
Biggie absolutely killed it with his Bone Thugs style in this song. That beat still gets me goin every single time.
Legitimate and "so Fo'sho!!
Listen to it with the Bass and volume booster all the way up
HEY dude, you know when good old-fashioned Muiszk is "the bomb' and get that Azzzz, up...!!!
@@jamesmosley6736 Go home youre drunk
You have no idea. I remember they played this song last week on my way home and I almost crashed. Once that beat dropped Biggie kills it with his.B.T.H. Flow AMD then fucking BIZZY. ONE OF HIS BEST EVER.
That first verse by Biggie just feels so natural, he basically raps the verse like he’s a chopper rapper from the Midwest, it’s incredible how versatile his flow and lyrics were. Hip hop doesn’t have this much versatility these days!
Contrary to popular belief: Those of us who grew up in L.A. during the 90's, were bumping the shit out of Biggie. Big was a pure shredder on the mic. He was getting big time play in L.A., and throughout the West Coast. Don't let the media, and some fake busters who got paid to go on TV shows, tell you any different.
@@Ispeakthetruthify the killer on the mic
He essentially raps in the style of bones…..this was a first for him, at the time and killed it just as they did.
I love old school hiphop, but nowadays there's still a lot of versatility.

@@darlenerosales9010 sorry for the loss of you're brother..
If You Don't Mind Saying It. How'd He Die? Anyways Rest In Peace.
HAVEN’T HEARD THIS SONG FOR SUCH A LONG TIME.. SUCH A BANGER
I guess it's time to hear it again
I know thats right baby boy amen to that 💯💙🧡💋
If something is of good quality it never gets old.
Sometimes a rap song just smacks - case in point this one. Great melody, catchy hook and great verses. Can't ask for much more.
That part at 1:54 when he says “Spit yo game” and the piano comes in, is brilliant. R.I.P to a legend.
When I hear 7am I still get goosebumps, maybe the best verse of all time by bizzy with the delivery, the words & the beat bizzy nailed it

I was just 13 when this song came out back in 1997. There wasn't a block you drove thru in New York City that wasn't blasting this shit. Love how Big adjusted his flow for the beat. It was absolutely flawless. I can play this shit all day.

BIG's verse just had perfect flow to this fast beat
***** haha hard to believe cause BIG had the first verse, and whether he was imitating them or not....he still would have done just as good.
Anthony Cedeno big had the first verse but bone thugs dropped their verse first and then gave it to biggie
kevin lee oh alright
Anthony Cedeno listen to some more bone thugs, even this beat has bone thugs written all over it.
***** bone thugs aren't producers, my point was that this could easily be anything DJ U-neek made for them
One of the most underrated songs of all time if you ask me
