- I was 18 when this came out senior year in 98. Cruised so much to this song, smoked hella times over hella situations. It was between this dmx and twista adrenaline rush. And being in Chicago, hip hop n hardhouse was strong. Everyone in the club was hyped when dmx ruff ryders n twista speedknot mobsters was on. It was unmatched energy back then. Straight bussin Im 43 this year. Still playing them same songs. If only anyone reading could tap into that energy from back in the day

This album is when Big hit his peak prime. He was young but hella life experience by this time. Had experienced the ups and downs of the rap game and when into beast mode. It seemed like every word this album was caculated and impactful. His story telling remained remarkable. This dude was special man. RIP

I was in middle school when this came out. Man…What a great time to be a teen. Incredible 90s music, no social media, house parties and gatherings without stupid cell phone addictions, meaningful human connection, the chronic 2001 dropped in high school - these were the jams we were bumping 24/7! I remember driving around Southern California where I grew up blasting these tracks singing along to them with friends, or big parties where all the kids were rapping along and busting into freestyles and b boyin’. It was a special nostalgic time back then that won’t be replicated ever again… I’m so grateful to have experienced it. I’m a teacher now and I wish I could transport my students today to these simpler, special times. It was much easier and I dare say more fun growing up back then, compared to this tech, misinformation, social media competitive age these kids live in now. Don’t get me wrong I know there are great perks today that I didn’t have back then with all this, but I feel for you youngsters out there growing up today it’s gotta be a lot harder… much love.

- Born in 84 in Brooklyn. Kings County Hospital. Raised on Fenimore. I was a Bone fan when the East/West beef was at its height. Literally got into fights at school kuz I rocked with Bone and they were considered West Coast. I'll be a Bone fan until I take my very last breath. Ain't no punk or pretend over here

That first verse by Biggie just feels so natural, he basically raps the verse like he’s a chopper rapper from the Midwest, it’s incredible how versatile his flow and lyrics were. Hip hop doesn’t have this much versatility these days!

- First of all Anthony, that was the name of my brothers only son. We we're always together. We worked together and my oldest son and his only son were 9 days apart. Our wives were also close. After work we would have dinner at my house or his house. I was in the National Guard in Texas. When 9/11 occurred, I was sent over seas for a year. While I was gone he was in a horrific car accident. He died at the scene. Reports say he passed 2 stop signs crossing a highway. I will never know what possessed him to run those stop signs. I know he was mad,but I don't know at what. I drowned my sorrows in drugs and alcohol. But through the grace of God, my eyes we're opened to my wrong doings. My brother Joey who I named my youngest is my GUARDIAN ANGEL. THIS I KNOW LIKE I KNOW THE SKYE IS BLUE. THANK YOU FOR ASKING. GOD BLESS YOU AND YOURS. ✌

I was just 13 when this song came out back in 1997. There wasn't a block you drove thru in New York City that wasn't blasting this shit. Love how Big adjusted his flow for the beat. It was absolutely flawless. I can play this shit all day.
