  • Brave beautiful broken hearts when our rare syndrome angels leave. I feel your family's pain. My grandchild was diagnosed with Dyrk1a at 18 months. With the help of her loving family, therapist, teachers she overcame so many obstacles. She was taken tragically 5/3/2022 just before turning six. Love remembering her. Thank you for sharing your story, especially with each other.

  • I'm so sorry for your loss. Dealing with that as parents and staying strong enough to show your children how to grieve properly and support each other has to take incredible strength. Just because she was so focused on the funding problem and children don't always understand, I would want to discuss with that young girl and make sure she understands that she did not lose her sister because they did not raise enough funding. That the mission now is to save everybody else and future people. But they seem like great parents who have discussed these things at length...

  • What a beautiful family. I'm sorry for the loss of your precious Gia. You've taught your daughter how to love and grieve so beautifully and she is precious and able to share her feelings so very well. God bless you and thank you for sharing. 💞

  • Gia, although unwell, was incredibly blessed to have such a loving big sister and family. Having compassion at that young of an age is straight from God. I hope her family can find peace and comfort one day knowing Gia is happy and well and waiting for her loving and incredible family to come home to her. My prayers, love and blessings to mom, dad, Julianna and Joey. Christ Jesus bless each of you and every family that that has a family in need of a miracle and cure for their children..
