Zac saying “Dutch?” And it turning out to be Dutch for “chicken the most versatile piece of meat, chicken” (according to google translate) floored me
*versatile But yes, as a Dutch person, I can confirm this is a Dutch marketing slogan from the poultry industry.
He did go on a trip to the Netherlands a year ago, probably noticed some similarities to what he read/heard then.
It's also a good guess if you know Beardsley
I'm Dutch and I just realized it when reading this. Correct btw! Comes from an old chicken tv commercial.
Zac running face first through a Dutch chicken ad is gorgeous
Goddamn, Ally's script really broke all of them consistently!
Ally knows Grant so well that it makes perfect sense he lost
We're lucky Amy wasn't in this episode, it would've been 20 min!
@@savingpyroAmy probably read this and is now laughing for the next 20 minutes.
Now I want to see what happens with Rehka versus Katie against Ally's script.
the long, confused pause at [like a frog] was funnier than it had any right to be
Getting a random infamous advertisement jingle in the video was like a slap to the face and Zac casually guessing the right language somehow made it worse
My Dutch ears still can't believe it! And the slogan/jingle is gonna be stuck in my head all day now haha
Ally wrote the script for this episode, and they lived in the Netherlands for some amount of time in their teens. It's come up a couple of times in Dropout content, so I'm not surprised someone who knows them guessed correctly. Having it be a commercial jingle was an amazing touch though. Classic Beardsley.
Ally hitting it out of the park in mere seconds. Ally needs to do more, this was one of the best episodes.
“It’s crazy that Pokémon was popular at the same time Micheal Vick went to prison” *hit so good*
Greasy little puppet, finally we're getting some real professional newscasters
I translated what the puppet said, and it was Dutch for "Chicken the most versatile piece of meat, chicken!"
Grant did a great Amy Vorpahl impression
As a Virginal Virginian, I can’t thank the Wight Savior County Music Festival enough for giving me that wonderful opportunity
Wight Savior. Don't be racist!
I liked how the prompter kept saying "Country" not "County" but not a single one of them wanted to get recorded saying "Wight Country".
I thought Virginia was for lovers not virgins, lol.
@@MatthewTheWandererIt is platonic love and ITS JUST AS VALUABLE OKAY?
It's pronounced as "county" but it's spelled "country."
the way Ally ground Grant to a paste here
This episode is giving gas leak in the studio vibes
Ally Beardsley writing your skit will have that effect
Ally secretly goated at writing Breaking News? I'm here for it.
Yeah she really killed the script. So good
@@zaidlacksalastname4905(psst ally uses 'they')
@@zaidlacksalastname4905 *they ^^
@@zaidlacksalastname4905(Ally uses they/them just in case you didn’t know!)
@@zaidlacksalastname4905ally uses they/them pronouns just so u know :)
This all made more sense when I saw who wrote the script.
This was, by far, the most chaotic episode. And I fucking love it
This has got to be the most chaotic episode I've seen yet because just laughter right out of the gate and everybody just breaking constantly.
Tbf the script was chaotic too Random segment in Dutch? [like a frog] Flirting
Im so proud of Zac getting the language right! 🇳🇱 🇳🇱 Also that sentence was a meme here for a while so that was funny to see all of a sudden
So, while Grant was flirting with someone that was definitely reciprocating, Ally was talking to their ex about memes?
ally went fucking crazy on this one. it makes so much sense for them to weasel dutch memes, niche references and making fun of grant into their script... their magnum opus
That opening definitely felt like something ally would say
This was so short but so sweet. Non-stop bangers. I love Ally
Ally, once again straight into the wild pop culture references. Well done.
More Ally writing please!
Getting a break within literal seconds. This episode is truly Beardsley Blessed™
Oof, butchered the Dutch sentence, nice you did recognize it as Dutch though 😂 For those wondering, it translates to: "chicken, the most versatile piece of meat, chicken", which was an advertisement slogan from the poultry industry in the Netherlands
That’s the most obscure Ally-ass scriptwriting They are chosen
Why does it say chicken twice?!
@@RabblesTheBinx, repetition is useful in advertisements for stress and such. And it was more like two sentences when pronounced: "Chicken, the most versatile piece of meat! Chicken!" I will not believe you if you tell me advertisements in different languages don't use repetition
@@Jan_Koopman I mean, not as a slogan. Sure, there's repetition in the ads, but the slogan is usually formatted like "Beef: it's what's for dinner," or "Oreo: Milk's favorite cookie," or "McDonald's: I'm lovin' it," (okay, so technically, that last one doesn't even have the brand name in the slogan, it's just "I'm lovin' it."). At least in American English.
@@RabblesTheBinx well, in the actual ad it was sung, not just simply said, so it’s more of a jingle tbh. The repetition works well for rounding off end of the tune, so I think that’s why
I saw only three minutes and thought the upload was messed up somehow. Nope, they’re just setting land speed records for the most insane breaks per minute.
One of the best episodes and I've seen them all. Ally should write Breaking News more often.
please let Beardsley write more Breaking News, I'm begging
Insane BPM on this one. Must be a record breaks per a minute. Anyone got the stats to back this up?
Damn. Short, Sweet, and not one survivor.... 😂
good christ this one is BRUTAL lmaooooo
This is one of the funniest episodes I’ve seen. Such a high score 😆
The Dutch surprised me! especially because it’s a well known ad!
This was the best writing in a hot minute. Way to go Ally
11/10 job for Ally here, they had Grant dying the whole episode
The best part is when Ally wrote into the script who lost. They knew *exactly* who was going to laugh too much.
@@ZT1STwell, no, there's always a sentence at the end, that the loser's name is added to when they reach that point.
This one has gotta be the most breaks/minute
Ally’s first line was a banger and it was a wrap after that 😂
YES FINALLY A NEW BREAKING NEWS EPISODE
Needed that laugh today, thank you!
Hope you're doing well
@@jonnnnniej Thanks kind stranger-- made it through yesterday in the end, and your comment just made my evening! Have a lovely rest of your week.
@@senseisleepyhead ahh thank you, you have a lovely week too! Sending you strength and all that's beautiful and awesome in this world
The Dutch part makes sense as Ally wrote this one
Kip! Loved seeing some Dutch on dropout, shout out to my fellow Dutch subscribers.
This was one of the greatest breaking newses I’ve seen! Haha
So, I think we can all agree that it’s clear Ally Beardsley was not sober while writing this one
This one was pretty golden.
Glad Zac and I had the same thought on it being Dutch
That's probably because it was Dutch
Ally must have learned the dutch meme from their dutch fling that they scorned on live tv! Was that person dutch? I think they were dutch.
Best one in a long time.
Great video.
College Humor to Dropout. Fitting !
Such a good episode, over too soon
I need to hear more about that flea market
This one of the best scripts I’ve seen on one of these in a while
wow, ally really killed it with this one!
The Wight County bit I could only think about Jayne County, formerly Wayne County. Who’s a very southern lady and my idol.
Ally should write these more often
Damn Ally. Damn. 🤣🤣
I only just noticed that Breaking News was created by Trapp I always assumed it was Grant.
Love your content guys 😊😊❤❤❤❤
Could've been a bit longer with one or two more tasks. Still, great episode with a lot of chaos! 😅
Its weird to hear them talk about flirting and not have Katie there :')
Ally literally referencing Total Forgiveness. That's hardcore.
Ally writing breaking news is something I desperately need more of in my life
the reference to Total Forgiveness😂
Wow this would be so hard to do!
Ally writes amazing BN scripts
my god those 3 minutes really flew by
I love that Dutch is just a punchline on it's own for being an objectively funny language
KIP HET MEEST VEELZIJDIGE STUKJE VLEES, KIP!
That first line killed me...admittedly I didn't know who michael vick was, but I wasn't surprised to find he was part of a dog fighting ring when I googled it
"Now lets meet Fish Tig." "Hi, my name is Shelby." 😂
Kip is lekker
GEKOLONISEERD!
This has got to be one of the shortest episodes they’ve done and they’re breaking constantly.
Nice.
Saw this was written by Ally Beardsley, immediately thought "well this is gonna be a wacky one!" and was justified immediately after that.
Wait omg is Rekha's background from when Grant had to sell all his stuff
Ally knocked it out of the park with this one
0:23 🤭🤭🤭🤭🤭🤣😂
Hilarious, but way too short!
Kip, het meest veelzijdige stukje kaas, vip!
I get the feeling this episode was recorded during a gas leak... Classic.
Kinda top tier 😂
💜‼️🤠
How old is this episode? I feel like we haven’t seen Kellen in forever!
This episode was rough.
I feel like I just watched that in 2x speed.
Armchair quarterbacking! I'm yelling because I just remembered.
Monday morning quarterbacking was correct and more precise since she was referring to analyzing the event after it occurred, since NFL games are mostly on Sundays. Armchair quarterbacking refers to someone not involved critiquing the event from a safe distance (i.e,, at home in their recliner). It took her a while, but Rehka got to the correct term.
Grant is my favourite greasy little puppet
Kip het meest veelzijdige stukje vlees is fucking hilarious, is there a Dutch writer at dropout? lmao
But Katie on there then the laughs will stop 😂
Ally popped off with this one
Who wrote this script, it was epic.
It says in the scrolling script at the beginning! it was Ally Beardsley
@@Takkcinema Never noticed that, thanks!
Hilarious script
Grant did not notice the pun... "in a bad spot"
Thank you past me for commenting. I was watching this just now not knowing if I'd already watched it.
This one is a banger among bangers Grant’s delight at Horace Race
😄
Is this super cutdown or really this short aren't they usually 15-20 minutes
This script is amazing. I'm ashamed I don't remember half of this material from the first watch on Dropout. Also, first time seeing this after binging Total Forgiveness. When Rekha's segment started I thought "Is that background Grant's flea market setup?" and lo and behold, that's exactly what they reference.
Ally having too many edibles before writing the script?
kellen is uh who's that? he's uh attractive yeah
I was trying to figure out what this channel was. New name makes sense to me now.
How does this manage to be the weirdest edition of this series?
But what was the dirty little secret???
