  • Awesome job on the truck.....It might be a 55 Chevy Truck but it has a 57 Chevy Hood and that is not the correct Hood Ornament for the 57 Hood. The 57 Hood had Bombsight Hood Ornaments that attached to both of those groves on the hood. I know because I built a 57 chevy truck from ground up and with the hood ornaments. I also noticed toward the end of the video the old truck had 1957 hood and grill leading me to believe the truck is a 57 and not a 55. Still a very nice truck you built.

  • Great looking truck. One thing I'd add to the inside of the doors would be some sound deadening. I also noticed one thing that is not 55, the hood is 57. Give away are the two bumps from front to back. Why did you use the 57 hood? Part of the custom transformation? And again very nicely done. That bed is amazing!!! I'm a retired finish carpenter so I get it. The frame, did you fab yourself? What does the rest of the running gear consist of? I Was not aware of your business until today. I live in Racine. I may have to stop in for a visit should I get to the west end of the state. I love these trucks. But I prefer the 58-59 fleet side bed and the big back window. I'd like to hear your thoughts on stretching one of these about 8 to 12 inches total. I'd do 4 to 6 inches in the door and 2 to 4 inches in the cowl. I need more interior room so that I can tilt the seat back a bit. I have lower back problems. I just subscribed 🙂

    • JonH3234 thank you for the kind words. We do make minor adjustments for the custom look. We try to keep them subtle. Like the grill that's on the truck; back came off of a big 1956 grain truck. Some frame work is in house, other is from different frame shops. Thanks for Subscribing!

  • I love the over all scheme and color combinations and tilt bed. The truck it beyond perfect and extravagant but I want to ask why everybody always chooses a big block large bore gas engine in these projects? Is it just a sentimental thing for chevy nuts?? Why doesn't someone create a final product powered by a diesel engine, and not a V8 either. I am suggesting the use of the best Mercedes diesel ever built. It was an in line six Mercedes turbo diesel from the E320 of the 2005 or 2006 era. This is a 3.2 liter motor with over 200 horsepower and devoid of all the emission control junk. Include the great 5 speed 722.6 auto transmission in the project and you will have a daily driver that is durable and economical, getting over 30 mpg!

    @kennycraze@kennycraze4 жыл бұрын
