I mean the amount of reasons that question made no sense is astounding, firstly the journalist referred to the wrong Mendy, secondly even if it was the correct Mendy, he’s not available for selection currently, and thirdly even if he was available, he’s a left back and plays on the complete opposite side to Walker? I just don't get it! Yesterday, he told Mark Tighe of the Times the mistake 'wasn't intentional' and occurred after his prepared question had already been asked by a fellow reporter. Now this I understand, he had to think of something on the spot and got some names mixed up, that's whatever I get how that could happen, but the fact he decided to ask about Mendy competing for Walker's spot when he hasn't played in months and can't play for the foreseeable future, as well as obviously Mendy being a left back so why would he compete for the right back position, An absolute mess but comedy gold.
